Mt.Vrell is a mountain of beauty and peace, merely setting your eyes on its high peaks will give one a sense of peace and relieve some amount of stress that plagues the mortal heart. It's beauty and abundant resources both play a role in making sure multiple human settlements are present in its majestic foot.
Karpos is one such village, with a relatively large population of 700, founded by several deserters fleeing from the wars and wishing to retire to a less dangerous and relaxing lives.
In the depths of the village, a crowd is congregating around a peculiar estate, more specifically the house of the only blacksmith in the entire village.
It would only take an observer a split second to deduce from the happy faces of the crowd and a decorated couple that a celebration is taking place.
Indeed the inhabitants of said village are currently celebrating the birth of a newborn child.
The newborn baby Aaron, is currently sleeping in a straw basket covered in fur.
Crimson hair, white unblemished and pure skin, no person would ever say that the child is ugly. At least not in the face of the smiling new family, because doing so would just be asking for a beating...what they would say afterwards though would remain a mystery.
The blacksmith and new father's name is Nelson Newgate, muscular but short-statured, one look at the calluses in his hand is all that is needed to see that this person is hardworking and dedicated, he is also famous for being on the receiving end of his wife's pranks and teases since childhood. Till this day the villagers are still curious on how such an upright man fell in love with a mischevious girl that is his wife.
The wife and new mother's name is Esther Newgate, a red haired beauty with a petite body and humble assets. Captivating and mischevious at best, terror incarnate at worst. She could make or break your entire day...or week...or month...or years in Darius's case.
Not even the intimidating village guards are safe from the pranks and teases of Karpos's very own 'Lady of Mischief'.
The loving couple are currently accepting the gifts and words of their neighbours, Nelson with his peaceful smile and Esther crying tears of joy while repeatedly saying the words "Thank You".
Away from the festivities in the quiet, small and moderately empty room of Aaron Newgate, sounds of whispers could be heard...
Above the basket holding the baby is an entity floating in mid-air.
The whispers continue...
A conversation which can neither be heard, nor felt is currently taking place in the quiet room, spoken by entities that no human could ever see with the naked eye.
"Why are we even here, we're not supposed to be here...in an enclosed space...in a house...surrounded by humans, it's making me uncomfortable". A small blue glow barely noticeable is present.

2 wisps could be seen hovering above the basket, seemingly curious about the sleeping infant below.
"Shh..quiet, whats with you, no human can see us anyways...at best they could feel suspicious with the abundance of natural energy relative to the surroundings. And also im just curious why we feel an attraction towards this specific baby? its like...like...what's the word humans use? Fate?" another glow but this one green states.
"But cultivators can see us, and they can catch us!" .
"And why in the name of the heavens would a cultivator be in this small village in the middle of nowhere? the closest sect is tens of kilometres away! and even then we can easily outrun them and enter the mountains".
"Yea like you have even seen a cultivator before, the progenitor says they're cruel and powerful beings!".
The 2 wisps continues to bicker amongst themselves without noticing a pair of eyes are slowly opening.
"Oh shut up, you don't even kno-".The green wisp finally noticed the no longer sleeping infant have awakened
"The baby's awake! lemme look...".
Noticing the baby wide awake the blue wisp went in closer to inspect the newly awake baby boy, but as it comes closer to the boy it notices the eyes of the infant are following it wherever it moves.
"Hey Cluz have you ever heard of a mortal baby able to see us wisps?" the blue wisp asks, curiousity can be felt from every word.
"Not to my knowledge, no?".
"Well it's eyes keep following me so i think it can see us!".
"Hmm, that's interesting...let's ask everyone later, for now though lets go back! We don't wanna cause chaos for being thought to be missing like last time we missed the gathering".
"Oh yeah i almost forgot about that one, lets go back!".
"Wait a moment, did you remember what the progenitor taught us...about imprints?".
"yeah, it said that imprints are marks we leave behind to special people".
"lets leave our imprints on this infant, so we can find it after the gathering ends!".
"Great idea!, but lets hope he doesnt die before our gathering ends, mortal lifespans are awfully short, i can take a nap and they'd turn old and decrepit".
Before exiting the location the 2 wisps gave the infant an imprint or mark as a parting gift that if utilized correctly could instantly boost a person's potential, increase physical, mental, and magical capabilities, while also enlarging their affinities to natural elements depending on the corresponding wisp's element, this is the reason why wisps are sought after but unable to be found due to their infamous elusive nature.
A wisp imprint is uncommon, only found maybe one in a thousand individual humans but 2 imprints are even more rare, and extraordinary, though very common in children of nobility or powerful communities such as houses, clans or others.
The 2 wisps then merely vanished from their location, as if snuffed out of existence leaving no evidence of their earlier visit. But little do they knew that this encounter brought by fate would be the catalyst for something far greater than the 2 young entity could ever imagine happening.
The wisps remain ignorant until much later on in their lives when they realized imprints are both a blessing and a curse. Because imprints are too powerful to be used on anyone, some cultivators have even died being unable to take the full brunt of the immense energy it contains.
The infant starts crying out of the immense pain it felt due to massive amounts of pure energy far more than it's small vessel of a body could contain. And it's body started reacting to the energy it absorbed in various ways.
The body of the infant have in its desperation to stop absorbing the overflow of energy, blocked any ways energy could enter, as if a kingdom blocking its borders due to massive influx of war refugees. The body has fully blocked any sort of way it could ever obtain energy through the surroundings.
Thus the 2 wisps unknowingly erased the future cultivation prospects of the child, yet in doing so has blessed the boy with an adventurous but dangerous life, ridden with blessing but also danger.
