The last thing I remember is sleeping on my comfortable bed. And for some reason I woke up to find this screen in front of me:
Name: Rane Coult
Level: 1
HP: 10
Strength: 4 Agility: 6
Dexterity: 4 Stamina: 5
Intelligence: 5 Luck: 3
Skills: N/A
“W-What the hell?... What the hell is this?”
What was in front of me? Where did this screen appear from?
I looked around and saw that I was at the end of a beautiful lake with amazing clear waters. I was taken aback by the scenery.
‘Well… I’m clearly not at home. Is this a dream?’
*Smack*
‘Nope. Not a dream.’
“Where am I?” I spoke to myself as I looked down at myself and saw that I was smaller than I used to be.
“Huh?” My hands looked smaller… I walked up to the edge of the lake and looked at my reflection in the water.
I turned into a child. A 13 year-old-ish child. I was 18 the last time I checked, which was last night and in summer break before I went off to college.
I looked pretty cute in my opinion. (No homo) I looked pretty average before and I used to have brown hair and wore glasses because of my bad eye sight. Now I can see perfectly fine without them and I have black hair, blue eyes (pretty weird combination) and looked sort of skinny.
I looked at the screen that was still next to me and I tried to make it move or disappear. I simply thought of it disappearing and it did and when I willed it to appear, it appeared.
“Woah… this is some next level shit. Is this virtual reality? Did I die and reincarnate?”
I took a look at my screen again:
Name: Rane Coult
Level: 1
HP: 10
Strength: 4 Agility: 6
Dexterity: 4 Stamina: 5
Intelligence: 5 Luck: 3
Skills: N/A
‘Man… these are some shitty stats. I’m hella weak, well… at least my name is still the same.
Wait… if this some sort of game like world, then… is it possible… to learn magic?’
I first made a list of what to do in this new world after I calmed down and assessed my situation.
1) Try to find a way back home and if I can’t who cares? Earth was shitty anyway. I was going to crippling debt because of college… and Trump might become president so I don’t mind starting a new life here.
2) Try to find out where I am and meet some of the natives in this world and get to know it better.
3) Learn magic and become super OP and maybe rule the world.
If I’m correct then there is the possibility of me becoming extremely powerful and I can increase my levels to gain more points and allocate them and become stronger.
How come there is no experience bar? How am I supposed to know how many goblins and shit I have to kill before I level up?
I’ve played a few RPG games before and it’s really easy to level up in the beginning but it gets gradually harder. But it usually evens out with some epic quests that give you bonus exp. and rare items.
*Stomach noises*
I realized I was starving and needed to find some food if I wanted to survive. I guess I’ll put that first on my list for now.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
I walked around the lake and saw some trout. (I think it’s trout don’t really know what kind of fish it is…)
I slowly entered the cold lake water and walked knee deep into the lake where the fish were swimming.
“Okay… I can do this.”
“Ha!”
I moved my hands as swiftly as I possibly could in this new body in an attempt to catch the fish. The result was pretty obvious. I failed. The fish were too quick for me and I just fell into the water.
Well, that was pretty stupid of me. After several more failed attempts I went back to shore and looked for some tools to aid me in catching fish.
I found a stick that was about a meter long and found a somewhat sharp rock and used to it sharpen the stick into a decent looking spear in my opinion.
I went back into the lake and quickly found some fish and waded over to them.
This time I had some confidence in being able to catch one and decided to act with patience.
I waited and stayed still for a long time before the trout-like fish were willing to swim next to my feet.
I stabbed down with the spear with all my strength and as accurately as possible. I very
quickly saw blood mixing with the water and I shouted with joy.
“Yes!”
I went back to shore with my prize back to gut it with the sharp rock from before. It was bloody work I’ll tell you that. It smelled pretty bad too.
When I finished, I left the fish on a rock and went to look for some wood and try leaves to start a fire. Because there was no flint and stone I had no choice but to create enough friction with the wood and light a fire that way.
I was able to gather enough dry leaves and twigs and made a small pile next to the shore. I grabbed my two pieces of wood. One with a rectangular, block shape and the other a long stick. I made a small hole in the block wood so that when I began spinning the thin stick on it, it wouldn’t go around everywhere.
I began spinning the wood on the block and pretty soon (15 minutes…) smoke began to appear.
I took the charcoal that was accumulated and put it on the pile of dry leaves and twigs and slow blew into it.
“Haha! I did it!”
I was quite proud of myself, although I think I had a couple splinters in my hands it was worth it.
I inwardly thanked youtube and the man who made the video on how to make fire in the wild. I was also glad that I remembered this useless crap. Who knew it would come in handy one day?
I stuck the fish onto a stick and began cooking it.
Pretty soon I had a nicely cooked fish to eat.
I finished the fish and there was only the head and tail left. The fish was about the size of two adult hands put together so it was actually a pretty decent size and left me quite satisfied.
Suddenly, I heard a rustling in the bushes behind me.
“Gegageege… keke”
“Huh?”
I turned around and looked.
It was either a seriously deformed kid that had a skin color disfiguration or a goblin.
“Skreee!”
Yup a goblin.
