Please note this is my very first time doing something like this. Year 0 January 1st of the new calendar, hour 1, the world shattered. Earth expanded an unknown amount of times. Hour 2, technology stopped working, satellites exploded, phones broke down, cars stopped working, guns exploded when the trigger was pulled, there was no news as the internet was down. Hour 3, people gained the power to utilize something. Some called it mana, some called it the power of faith, some called it qi, it was called many other names. Year 50, all governments before year 0 was gone. Many new Kingdoms and Empires emerged. The new generation all adapted to this new form of energy and now everything was run on this energy but technology was not brought it to before. This new form of energy was renewable and free. The world came up of a common word for it, Skalzin.  Year 100, Explorers who were sent out return half alive. Humanity realize that Skalzin did not come without consequence. All the animals in the known land were slowly evolving but the ones in the unknown land were like animals that came out of myths and legends. year 1,000, A grading system was developed and technology has advanced but humanity still has not interacted with the unknown land but only seen. For some reason there is something like a barrier stopping them from entering the known land. year 2,000, This barrier like thing dropped monsters started to flow into the known land suddenly. It was like tower defense, only the weaker monsters came through and we were given time to bolster our forces. An explorer found magical ores underground, A blacksmith manage to find a way to utilize monster bodies and the ores to make tech. The power of mankind strengthened but as stronger creatures invaded. year 10,000, the empires and kingdoms collapsed and all that was left was a floating city built with the bodies of a monsters and a the best ore known to mankind called Kazernite.
