The Blackmailer obviously heard what Anna just said, and he considers it a massive threat if that large man is around again. But Anna could just be drunk talking how she wants the Blackmailer dead, there might not be any actual threat behind all of this. At least he hopes not!
Regardless of the possible deadly threat, Anna is still supposed to bring 20,000£ tonight. That money, is the only reason why the Blackmailer hasn't made a run for it towards the exit regardless of what the fancy folk would think about such an act.
As soon as they left the Restaurant, the Waiter approached with the Blackmailer's ID Card and almost thanks to instinct the Waiter said. "Here you go Mister. Trevor, your room is C9 at the second floor."
"You'r name is Trevor? Such an ugly name. Ugly ugly ugly." Anna answered, giggling her way towards the Elevator and somehow escaping the Blackmailer's grip.
"I'm sorry about her, she doesn't handle Alcohol very well. I thought she will only take a sip." Trevor apologized and made his way after Anna, ignoring anything the Waiter might have said after.
Jack has been following them, although neither of them noticed it and Anna is basically too drunk to even remember the rest of the plan, she forgot about Jack even more.
What both of them did not know either, is that Jack is in the same Elevator with them. Thank God the Elevator is roomy, or else this entire plan would go downhill and Jack would have to kill the Blackmailer here.
In fact, if it was a good idea to kill him anywhere out of the Hotel room, he would have done it at an instant when Anna drunkenly said, "Let's have sex quicker so Jack can kill you."
Jack had all capabilities to kill the Blackmailer there, but since he isn't visible this murder would be automatically synced with Anna, as if she did something to him and it would get her in to horrendous trouble.
Jack gave out several sighs of relief about the fact that the Blackmailer didn't run off, it necessarily means that this plan to once and for all free Anna from these petty threats, is still in motion.
...
Walking out of the Elevator, and making a journey of 5 meters, Trevor started hearing light but noticeable footsteps.
The way how he noticed these steps, was in between Anna's steps who are louder than anyone else's here since she is wearing heels.
When Anna wasn't making noise with her steps, that's when Trevor noticed lighter steps. This is something worth considering since the time when Anna wasn't making noise with her steps was shorter than half a second.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
In one way it seemed like an echo out of the loud Steps Anna made, but those steps were too light to possibly relate.
When noticing that someone might be following them, Trevor started getting more and more paranoid. But fuck, he needs that money so he has to go through with this. As a matter a fact he doesn't even mind if he fails to spend a night with Anna, money matters more to the retarded Trevor.
...
Finally making it to the hotel room, Trevor took a while to open the door because on one hand he is trying to keep Anna on her feet and on the other hand he is shaking enough to miss the Key hole for 7 attempts.
Obviously, a few footsteps were enough to push his paranoia anxiety through the roof. If not dead, this man [Trevor] might end up developing PPD thanks to this night.
The two finally make it in to the room, and Jack was practically 10 feet away watching them and trying not to giggle at how scared this big bad Blackmailer has become.
Jack took a step forward to walk in, but as if bad luck is constantly by their side, another lady from a different room very close to the one Trevor rented, dashed out of the door obviously late for something and and bumped into Jack at that built up speed and momentum.
Jack was very close to this lady's door, the two doors were almost connected together come to think of it. So it does make a lot of sense that this rushing lady bumped in to him as soon as she ran out of her room.
In panic, the lady shouted for help! Obviously this isn't the most favorable situation. To her it felt like hitting a hard invisible wall, she even hurt her nose a little bit but not as much as her ankles while she fell down.
Yes, she fell down flat with her heels doing most of the work. But for fuck's sake this situation went for the worst, what happened here wasn't calculated at all.
Sure Jack is used to avoiding human contact when Invisible, but he didn't think that him bumping in to someone would fuck up or slow down this whole plan.
Imagine how paranoid the Blackmailer felt when he heard this woman scream through the Hallway, it makes it a bit concerning for Jack that no sound is being heard from the room Anna is in. Either these doors are sound proof, or something else is going on in there.
It is too big of a risk for Jack to help this lady stand up. For a start, it would probably traumatize her since it will feel like some ghost lifting her up after knocking her down. And as a finishing reason, the Blackmailer has been inside with Anna longer than they planned.
He tip toed his way towards Trevor's rented room, grabs the handle but is quick to figure out that the Blackmailer was smart enough to lock the door. Well this complicates things, in other terms it means that Jack doesn't need to be quiet anymore.
He takes a few steps back, reaches the walls on the other side of this 4 meter wide hallway and with a sprint on his feet he runs, jumps and kicks the door right near the handle.
Heavy and strong enough, that was all he needed to break the door open. Shit this will cost a lot of money to compensate this, well at least Anna didn't give her ID Card.
Jack dashed in the room, and noticed three key characteristics here. Anna for a start, has completely crashed on the bed. She really can't handle alcohol.
Second, Anna's purse has been poured all across the room and yes the envelope containing 20,000£ is missing.
Last but not least, the Blackmailer ain't in this room and the window is wide open, wind blowing on the curtains lightly.
Snapping in to visibility, Jack found it relieving to express. "Oh for fuck's sake."
