B.O.S.A.I (Bureau of Supernatural Activity/Investigation) is an organization designed to protect the world from otherworldly forces, or creatures we do not yet understand. Investigators are divided into two classifications: Junior Investigators (Ranks 3-1) and Senior Investigators (First Class, Associate Special Class, and Special Class).
Luciel stands in the hallway, staring at his chipped black nails, bored and unamused, until he is invited into the office. The Chairman of BOSAI, Takeshi, stares at him, a sense of pride reflecting off Takeshi’s large round glasses. In the back of the room, a familiar face.
A skinny, depressed-looking blonde stares at Luciel uncomfortably. “Soren, this is Associate Special Investigator Luciel. He will be your partner for the upcoming investigation.” Takeshi says. Luciel refuses to make eye contact with the strange man.
Takeshi’s office is rather luxurious and contemporary. In the west size of the room, there is a white desk, decorated with a laptop and a house phone. A large white chair is to the left of the office, where Takashi often sits, and two smaller chairs were to the right.
On the east side of the room, there is a small, black coffee table, encircled by two chairs and a sofa. A large flat-screen television is hung to the wall, playing some sort of Japanese animation about a fallen angel and a seraph.
Takeshi looks menacing and intimidating, with a determined expression and formal demeanor. He is tall, at least six feet, and has a walrus-style mustache. He is bald, which makes him look serious, matching his personality.
“Multiple occurrences of demon sightings have been reported; Missing peoples near the sightings’ locations have also been reported. Obviously, there’s a correlation between them.” Takeshi says. Luciel is silent, like always, taking in the information.
The Chairman continues. “Soren, this my prodigy, Luciel. And you are one of my most powerful investigators. I thought it would be a good idea to pair you up.” Soren laughs at the idea. “I don’t work well with others.
“You’re going to have to; For this investigation, Luciel, pay attention to Soren’s mentoring. You can learn a thing or two from him.”
Luciel is a well-respected investigator internationally, known for his ruthlessness, cold brutality, and dark philosophy. Broken yet painless.
For an investigator, he had informal attire, dressing with a black hoodie, black sweatpants, chains, boots, and a mask that covers his nose and mouth.
He looks nothing like your ordinary investigator. His hair is black except for the tips of his hair, which are white then red.
Soren dresses in a grey suit with a black tie. He has a very cocky demeanor and can barely stand up straight. His hands are in his pockets, disguised with white gloves.
Luciel has no idea how to respond to Takeshi, so he silently nods. The Chairman uncovers a cloth from his wall revealing many photographs of locations pinned to a map. Red ink connecting each location, written clues and documents of various cases linking everything together.
He pinpoints the center of the map in blue marker, circling a house. “Etsuko Brown, a professor at the University – very popular among the students for her good looks. Young boys in her classes seem to be the primary targets.”
Soren grins. “So are we getting laid on this mission?” The Chairman’s serious expression doesn’t change. “Quite possibly.” Soren bursts out in laughter. “I was just kidding but – Hey I’m not complaining!” Luciel thought to himself – for someone who dresses so formal, Soren is anything but.
Takeshi continues to explain the task. “You two will show up at her house and investigate her, ask her some questions. Do whatever it takes to get information.” Luciel cracks his knuckles. “Believe me, sir. Extreme measures will be taken”. Soren looks at Luciel from the corner of his eye.
That night, Investigators Soren and Luciel arrive in her driveway. Soren, the driver, parallel parks while Luciel looks into her windows. “Her kitchen light is on, and so is her bedroom light."
They get out of the car and carefully walk to the door. They ring the bell. No answer. They ring again. Still no answer. Soren looks through her kitchen window.
Etsuko is on the couch with a student. She takes off her glasses and kisses him, running her fingers through the boy’s long brown hair. He reaches for her back to remove her bra and feels something odd.

Etsuko starts laughing. “What’s so funny?” The boy asks. Etsuko’s laughs start to get louder. The boy stares. “A-a-are you okay, Professor?” Etsuko covers her beautiful green eyes with her hands, and slowly uncovers them – her eyes now pure black. “Peek-a-boo bitch!”
The boy starts to scream, but Etsuko slowly puts her tongue in his mouth, stopping him. “It’s alright, just let this happen.” She sprouts fangs from her teeth.
The boy shivers in fear. The professor licks her lips. “You don’t have to be scared anymore. This’ll all be over soon.” She grabs a knife from her desk and traces it across the boy’s throat, tauntingly. “This’ll taste great.”
Luciel knocks the door down, taking a blood-colored katana out of his scabbard. “Put the knife down – NOW”. The professor laughs. “One stone, three birdies! Today must be my lucky day.” She passionately kisses the boy’s neck. “I’ll save you for dessert – HAHAHAHAHA”.
Black mist seeps from Etsuko’s black and forms two dark blades. She tries to piece through Luciel, who dodges each strike with incredible speed and skill. Luciel swings his blood-colored katana at Etsuko’s blades, the katana itself beginning to crack while Etsuko breaks down, laughing maniacally.
Luciel swiftly counter attacks all of Etsuko’s attacks, but is pushed back. “Soren, this is easily an S Class creature. Leave it to me.” The student tries to run away, so Etsuko tries to decapitate him with one of her blades, but Luciel swiftly blocks the strike, protecting him. “It’s okay Soren, I can handle it.”
Etsuko tries to decapitate Luciel who ducks and slides behind her. He acrobatically flips in the air and tries to cut open Etsuko’s neck, but her blades crush Luciel’s katana, shattering it to pieces.
“Blade-type abilities. Swift enough to pierce lighting. Capable of taking down one – no, two Special Class Investigators.” Luciel analyses her abilities. “I guess it’s my turn—” Luciel says. His blood colored katana regenerates. “Let me show you the results of my torture”.
Luciel laughs. Red mist seeps from his back and forms four blades – more fluid and flexible than Etsuko’s. His skin turns black, and his hair turns white. Bright markings spread all over his body. His eyes pure white. “Nature is a beautiful monster. Stronger monsters kill the weaker monsters. That’s how humans have survived thousands of years as apex predators. And humanity will not fall to your kind any longer… The only emotion I know is love and death.”
Etsuko is shocked at Luciel’s transformation. “W-w-what the fuck??” Luciel laughs, cracks his knuckles, and licks his lips. “This is gonna be fun.” Luciel’s blades clash with Etsuko’s. Luciel’s is much swifter and stronger, slowly making Etsuko’s crack. ‘T-t-this can’t be!” Etsuko cries out.
Luciel screams as he thrusts one of his flexible tentacle-like blades through Etsuko’s chest, blood spilling like rain and painting his hair. “Do you know how it feels to have your heart ripped out your chest?! It feels like—”
Etsuko’s mist blades suddenly grow larger. Filled with rage, she rips herself from Luciel’s grip and tries to pierce through him repeatedly, with little effect – effortlessly countered. “I wasn’t finished yet. Shut the fuck up when I’m talking to you.” Luciel says.
Luciel bends his back to stare at Soren behind him. He starts to mumble. “Like the show?!” Soren notices how unstable Luciel truly is. How the calm, cold, ruthless killer can become a broken, inhumane monster.
Luciel rushes toward Etsuko, who tries to strike him, but all her blades clash with Luciel’s. “—Break—” Luciel screams, thrusting his fist through Etsuko’s chest and tearing out her heart. The demonic professor coughs blood and chokes. She collapses on the floor, covered in her own blood.
Soren is shocked, yet surprisingly calm. “Is this what Chairman Takeshi meant by him going berserk?” He says to himself. Luciel stares at Soren. “I’m hungry. May my demons have a taste?! HAHAHAHA!” Luciel swings his tentacles toward Soren, who barely dodges.
White light starts to emit from Soren, amusing the uncontrollable Luciel. Now’s not the time – Soren thinks to himself. He reaches into his throat and takes out a golden staff. He slowly approaches the berserk Luciel, blocking all his sharp, fluid blades. Soren touches Luciel’s brain with the staff, numbing Luciel’s mind. He enters Luciel’s subconscious...
