A NEW LEVEL OF POWER

A NEW LEVEL OF POWER

AS THE BATTLE erupted, Kasaki's sword erupted into flames, turning it into a deadly weapon. He unleashed torrents of fire, incinerating anyone who dared to approach him. From the depths of Misuki's stronghold, more guards emerged, swelling the ranks of their opposition. The clash intensified as transformations unfolded; some guards morphed into dragons, attempting to counter Kasaki's inferno. Yet, their efforts proved futile against the overwhelming power of Kasaki's flames, reducing them to naught but ashes.

Amidst the chaos, Kasaki retrieved his father's lifeless body from the ground, a solemn duty weighing heavily upon him. With determination etched upon his face, he soared towards Kishira, his voice cutting through the chaos. "Kishira, take my father to safety. Preserve his body intact for the funeral rites. Do not concern yourself with me or the army."

Kishira hesitated, torn between duty and loyalty, but Kasaki's command was unwavering. "It's an order. I am your captain. Obey!" With a solemn nod, Kishira accepted the responsibility and Kasaki swiftly returned to the fray.

As Kasaki dove back into the fray, it became apparent that the guards held the upper hand in combat. Their strength and sheer numbers overwhelmed the samurai army, making it difficult for them to gain any ground. Kasaki's heart sank as he witnessed Master Ohnitto fall, a grievous wound staining his chest, inflicted by a guard's merciless blade. Despite the setback, Tinoue, Mikamoto, and the others fought valiantly, their determination fuelled by the prospect of reuniting with loved ones imprisoned within the fortress.

Amidst the chaos, Kasaki found himself marveling at Tinoue's relentless determination. He fought with a ferocity born of love, each strike propelled by the desire to rescue his sister from captivity. Love, Kasaki realized, was a powerful force indeed, inspiring strength in even the direst of circumstances. Though he couldn't save his father, there was still hope for his mother's rescue.

Meanwhile, Mikono demonstrated remarkable prowess on the battlefield. With swift movements and precise strikes, he countered the enemy's transformations, turning his sword into a formidable water-shooting device. The high-pressure water jets sliced through the enemy ranks, extinguishing dragon flames and cutting down foes with ease.

Despite the valiant efforts of the master, Tinoue, Mikono, and others, Misuki's forces maintained the upper hand. The battle raged on, a spectacle of raw power and relentless determination. With each fallen warrior, the transaction of #BG power surged, fueling the combatants with newfound strength. Yet, amidst the chaos, Kasaki remained a beacon of resilience. His underwater training had honed his reflexes to razor-sharp precision, allowing him to anticipate and evade the enemy's blows with ease. He moved with unparalleled speed, deflecting attacks and striking back with unwavering resolve.

“Who are you, kid?” Ikaru's voice rang out amidst the chaos of clashing swords and battle cries. His blade swung wildly, attempting to strike Kasaki but failing with each attempt. "They told us a mere boy from Tiger Valley slew our dragons with ease. We captured your father, hoping to force your surrender. But how can you be so powerful?"

Kasaki's movements became more fluid as he deftly dodged Ikaru's attacks. "The difference between us," he replied, his voice cutting through the din of battle, "is that I didn't rely solely on resources. I honed my skills through relentless effort and determination. While you depended on your #BG power, I trained tirelessly, pushing myself beyond my limits."

With a swift leap, Kasaki soared into the air, his sword tracing a fiery arc as he unleashed a torrent of flames upon the guards below. The intense heat engulfed them, incinerating several in its wake. Though Ikaru managed to extinguish the flames engulfing him, the attack drained him of much of his #BG power.

Amidst the chaos, Chichi's warning pierced the air. "Kasaki, watch out. Archers. Archers!"

He knew it was probably too late. He was about to be torn by the enemy’s arrows. How fast could he possibly be? Was this it? Without a moment's hesitation, Kasaki threw himself flat onto the ground, the thud of impact drowned out by the rush of arrows slicing through the air above him. The archers stared in disbelief as their deadly volleys missed their mark by a hair's breadth. Even Mikono, known for his stoic demeanor, couldn't hide his astonishment at Kasaki's lightning-fast reflexes.

With the enemy momentarily stunned by their failed assault, Kasaki seized the opportunity to strike back with ferocious speed. Rising to his feet, he spun his sword in a mesmerizing arc, channeling his energy into a powerful technique.

"Breath of the dragon," he intoned, his voice echoing with determination. "Full power!"

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

In an instant, a swirling vortex of flames erupted from his blade, engulfing the guards in a torrent of searing heat. The inferno consumed everything in its path, reducing the enemy ranks to ash.

Undeterred, Kasaki pressed forward, cutting through the remaining defenses with ease. His fellow samurais followed suit, some employing specialized jutsu techniques to counteract the intense heat radiating from Kasaki's fiery onslaught.

As the last of the guards fell, Kasaki felt a surge of power coursing through him, his life bar brimming with newfound #BG points. Victory was within reach, but the true test still lay ahead within the heart of Misuki's stronghold.

As Misuki and Zizu deliberated their next move, the chaos outside intensified. The reverberations of battle resounded throughout the compound, intertwining with the desperate pleas of the dwindling guards. Through an enchanted portal crafted by Zizu's sorcery, they observed the relentless onslaught of Kasaki, his flames devouring everything in their path.

In the midst of the chaos, Misuki's resolve wavered. He knew he had to act swiftly to avoid complete defeat. With a grim determination, he ordered Zizu to make a call, a decision that could change the course of their fate.

Zizu hesitated momentarily, a flicker of doubt crossing his features. "Him? Are you sure?" he questioned, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Misuki's jaw clenched, but his gaze remained steely. "Yes. Call him now. I'll give him whatever he wants," he commanded, the weight of desperation heavy in his words.

As the samurais pressed forward, their blades slicing through chains and setting captives free, Kasaki extinguished the flames that had raged moments before. Amidst the chaos, he searched frantically for his mother, bracing himself for what he might find. Around him, he saw the haunting faces of children, their innocence tarnished by fear and suffering. Young men bore the weight of old age, their bodies worn and weary from relentless toil. Each face told a story of hardship, of lives spent in servitude and torment. Kasaki steeled himself, knowing that his mother's fate may mirror that of his father's—a life marked by exhaustion, malnutrition, and the cruelty of their captors.

"Tamura," a hushed voice reached Kasaki's ears, halting him in his tracks. His heart quickened at the mention of his mother's name. The whisper seemed to originate from a room at the end of a hallway, its door painted a striking shade of blue. With a mixture of trepidation and determination, he ventured forward, mentally bracing himself for the sight that awaited him. As he moved, a nagging doubt crept into his mind—had he truly heard the whisper, or was it merely a trick of his imagination?

Meanwhile, Kishira had returned from her somber task of hiding Kiyoro's body, her eyes fixed on the fiery spectacle unfolding at Lyon Shore. She hurried back to join Kasaki, her steps quickening as she neared him. Concern etched her features as she watched him pause abruptly.

"What's wrong, Kasaki?" she inquired, falling into step beside him as he dashed across the hallway.

Kasaki's heart clenched as he heard the whisper, his footsteps faltering before he veered towards the source. Kishira trailed behind him, her senses on high alert. With each step, her mind raced, recalling Kasaki's mention of her own mother's plight within those walls. Gripping her sword tightly, she prepared for whatever lay ahead.

As Kasaki pushed open the door, his emotions surged like a tidal wave. Tamura stood in the room, surrounded by hungry children clamoring for food. His mother, dressed in tattered garments, offered what little sustenance she had, her eyes reflecting both resilience and fear. The sight struck a chord deep within Kasaki, igniting a mix of sorrow, anger, and fierce determination.

“Mom!” Kasaki's voice quavered with emotion as he spoke her name. Tamura lifted her weary gaze, her eyes widening in disbelief at the figure framed in the doorway. Though time had etched new lines on his face and forged strength in his form, there was no mistaking her son's familiar features.

“Kasaki!” With a cry of both relief and disbelief, Tamura rushed into his open arms. Kasaki held her close, feeling her warmth and the weight of her worries pressing against him. Joy and sorrow intertwined within him, a tumultuous whirlwind of emotions.

As Tamura spoke of the dangers that surrounded them and the fear of Kiyoro's capture, Kasaki's heart ached with the weight of his unspoken truth. He knew the devastating impact his words would have on her already fragile spirit, and so he held his silence, his embrace.

“Mom, we have to get you out of here,” Kasaki urged, his voice tinged with urgency.

Tamura's eyes pleaded with him, filled with the pain of uncertainty. "But I can't leave without your father," she whispered, her words striking a chord deep within Kasaki's heart.

Taking a steadying breath, Kasaki grasped her hands gently. "Mom, I promise I'll find Dad. Please, let me ensure your safety first." His words carried a weight of determination, a resolve to protect his family at all costs.

With a silent exchange, Kasaki conveyed his intentions to Kishira, who nodded in understanding. She moved forward, offering her support to guide Tamura to safety.

As they made their way out, Tamura's selflessness shone through. "Take the children too," she insisted, her concern for others unwavering even in the face of danger. Kasaki felt a swell of pride and admiration for his mother's noble spirit, a beacon of strength amid the chaos.

"Kishira, get everyone out of here," Kasaki commanded, his voice firm with authority. "Escort the civilians to safety and ensure their protection while we’re still in here.”

"Got it," Kishira acknowledged.

Mikamoto rushed in, his expression urgent. "Kasaki!"

"What's happening?" Kasaki inquired, his curiosity piqued.

"There's something strange going on in one of the upper rooms," Mikamoto explained breathlessly. "Strange lights are flickering inside. It could be Misuki up to something."

"Let's go there.” Kasaki said decisively.
