Chapter 1: Its a bizzare world

Spoiler: Spoiler

Hey there hope you find this somewhat good. It's a trial chapter , hoping to see how it does.

He tightly shut his eyes, he felt some pain from all over his body

A  clenched fist in front of his chest and a deeply pained expression

The wind blew across his cheeks bringing with it a smell of few and vegetation

There was little light and he tried hard to observe were he was.

Tall ancient trees, a myriad of undergrowth and dark red soil.

Lack of light made it difficult to clearly see further than a few metres.

Clearly this was an ancient forest, one not touched by human activities.

As an outdoor specialist Steve was well aware that this ancient forest was not quite usual.

" It should be daytime right now by the sparse amount of light peeking through the leaves of the trees, however it seems dark as night, the undergrowth is also a bit strange how can it be so much with that little amount of light ! "

Steve crouched down and observed the weirdly coloured vegetation

" this so weird I haven't heard of such weird plant before?, or even this.."

He picked a bit of the blood red soil in his hand and was a bit creeped out

" It really does look as if soaked in blood! , and even the smell"

Steve held an incredulous look, his face froze in wonder and his eyes rolled about

observing the surrounding in agitation.

He really felt weirded out, how did He get here? In fact if it was anyone else they would have already freaked out and tried shouting for help .Steve   at least knew and wasn't naive enough to do this, as an outdoor blogger he knew that this weird ancient forest should be able to support a few wild beasts and creatures. He didn't want to be eaten by some monkeys. Look even the stem of these trees are so large, at least three people holding each others hands could surround one. Such huge trees even if he was beaten up, he wouldn't believe that such large trees could be normal.

If this was some sort of prank, no one would go so far he didn't have many friends and even if he did they weren't people to do such , he also couldn't say that this was a dream, it felt too real, in fact in his twenty three years alive he didn't have such a realistic dream.

He also hoped it was a prank or a dream, because if this was real it was quite horrifying, he was moved from his own bed, unaware and thrown out here and  he didn't even notice! At least in his knowledge except ghosts or gods, who else had the ability to do this? The military , the government or maybe aliens?

Haha... how could such things pay attention to an unknown blogger ,who did outdoor videos, earning only the minimum to keep himself fed? Maybe it is some weird devil or demon who did this....

Steve held his head and kneeled as these thoughts swerled in his mind, he was somewhat afraid and helpless of what was happening. This couldn't be a normal thing

" perhaps I was fed sleeping pills and someone!!...someone dragged me here, but why I..I..."

Steve couldn't come up with anything reasonable, his anxious face suddenly flushed red, he grasped his throat as he groaned deeply, fear and anxiety filled his face. A few metres away a bright red ant  the size of a bus crawled forward in his direction. The ant was truly huge it's huge limbs were blood red, same colour as the soil and at the front of its to, a pair of mandibles stuck out.

Steve eyeball danced in their sockets with fear as he observed these mandibles.

His lack of clear eye sight seemed to be non-existent as he observed the titan like ant.

It released a faint red hue that made it quite distinct in such a dark environment.

Especially these mandibles, when he saw them,it was as if he was right next to death

They seemed especially sharp and brutal, Steve eyed the blood red ant and clenched his teeth, he nervously looked around trying to find a path he could flee to.

The blood red ant seemed to completely  ignore the nervous Steve and moved quickly and disappear into the lush undergrowth and faded of into the darkness.

The only proof of its appearance was the spooked Steve who still held an apprehensive look.

Steve looked to the where it disappeared and calmed his racing heart.

" What was that a huge red ant, it's as if I met a large wolf or lion..."

His hand was still shaking in fear, hey! This was not a joke! Holy hell, even an ant is

so horrifyingly  strong how am I to survive ?

A deep howl suddenly broke the peaceful forest, a large beam of light flashed and fell among some trees, following with a sickening crunching sound, a large ancient tree broke apart and heavily fell producing a thuding sound.

Following something huge fell in the spot the tree had fallen, the thing was quite gigantic, like a huge pillar it had dark fur all over.

It was a foot! So huge it could be imaginable the size of a creature with such a gigantic foot.

A few ancient trees snapped when the huge dark foot fell, creating a clearing,  with the radius of a few metres.

The sunlight fell in this space and illuminated the surrounding. The owner of the huge foot seemed unsatisfied and stomped a couple of times. The earth trembled and groaned, a few large leaves fell like snowflakes partially burying Steve inside.

He dazingly watched as the huge foot wreaked havoc, the thing must be at least 100 or so metres to have such gigantic feet! He couldn't believe that there was such a large being alive.

His eyes suddenly widened, because in middle of the clearing he observed a blood red ant that stood like stone. It released a faint red hue and it's mandibles shone especially red looking bizarre and horrifying as if it could cut a mountain in half.

The blood red ant, was almost 10 metres in length and 2 metres high.

In contrast to the gigantic foot that had wrecked havoc just a second ago it's size although frickishly large couldn't even begin to compare.

It seemed as if the blood red ant couldn't tell the huge difference and defiantly and silently gazed upwards, hoping to spot the dark foots owner.

Indeed a second later and earth shaking roar rocked the forest.

The large foot descended immediately and ruthlessly stoped at the blood red ant,

Unfortunately the defiant ant like a fleeting shadow flashed a couple of metres away and managed to avoid the large dark foot.

Although the blood red ant managed to escape the earth was not spared it shook endlessly, and almost felt as if a meteorite had bombarded the area.

Many trees in the surrounding had fallen already, some snapped in half, others flattened by that gigantic foot.

It looked as if the whole area was a forbidden zone for life, there was death and destruction everywhere.

It was too horrible! In fact if Steve had decided to stay put, he was sure he wouldn't know how he even died.

He had long ago decided to risk it and had made a quick escape, he didn't care to look back and sprinted as if his life depended on  it . Because it truly  did!

As he blindly rushed past the ancient trees ,he could still hear these angry howls , the horrible sound made as large trees fell and the ground that shook even though he was so far away.

Strangely he didn't spot any other creature as he made his escape, maybe they had already sensed the horrible destruction that was about to occur and escaped beforehand.

Faintly he could sense that he was climbing upland , sure enough after running for another ten or so minutes , the ancient trees seemed more sparse and he could grey rocks buried beneath the blood red soil.

He could distinctly make out the sound of water, maybe a river?

He sprinted even faster towards that direction , he always kept fit and exercised every morning so he didn't pant much and didn't feel tired at all.

Truly,  all that seemed to finally pay off, as a poor blogger he fed himself on videos, he took in wild and exotic spots. One needed a certain amount of stamina to climb mountains or go through forests, hence he always paid attention to his physical fitness and always exercised.

Sure that sometimes felt useless in today's society but he always kept at it, now he was glad he didn't stop! Who could have thought that such  weird and inexplicable things could happen to him.

The river wasn't very large , it flowed between th few ancient trees. It was 3 or so metres wide and was peaceful as it flowed.

He knelt down and observed the clear river water , it was so clear that he could clearly see the sand at the bottom. After making sure there wasn't anything weird with the water he finally squatted near the small river and used his hand to drink.

Luckily no strange fish tried biting at him, he used the water to wipe his face, while running he tipped a few times and his face had been red and dusty.

He could finally catch his breath and look around, the sun was shinning brightly and normal from what he could see. At least there wasn't two or three suns like in the anime and novels! That would have been too freaky!

The clouds were white and fluffy and hang low in the air, while the sky was truly blue and seemed a bit calming. Unlike the weird sky of the earth, seeming filled with dust and pollutants, the air here was fresh and slightly intoxicating.

Steve felt a bit relaxed and sat down near an ancient tree as he thought of all that was happening..

He kept his back on the rough foot of the huge tree and suddenly came up with an idea.

He stood up and faced the huge bark of the giant tree, now that he looked closer, the ancient tree could surely compare to something he saw ones, 'the mountain ash tree' while out on a trip to Australia  he saw this tree that looked quite magnificent, the trees were about 100 metres tall , the stem of the ancient trees were a bit larger and there were more branches and leaves but the height was quite similar.

He observed the cracks and hallows on the the surface of the bark and his confidence soared.

He picked a bit of the red soil and rubbed it between his two palms.

Steve slowly crawled along the stem of the ancient tree, using the pits and cracks to climb, he quickly made his way up.

It truly seemed along way up but to a professional like Steve it wasn't that hard, the surface of the tress was rough and there was many spots he could could use in ascension.

Finally reaching the top he observed the surrounding. Thankfully the tree he chose to climb was slightly taller that the rest and that gave him a good view. However he wished he hadn't seen what he saw.

Steve's eyes went wide and his mouth agape , more than surprise , it was horror ,yes! He felt truly horrified. In the distance from which he had escaped he saw a truly horrible and terrifying thing.

He had earlier speculated on the height of the large foots owner to be around 100 or so metres tall but he was surely mistaken. In The far distance he could spot a large humanoid creature.

He could only see up to its waist but that was enough to know how gigantic and truly monstrous it was, the upper half of its body was covered up in a large dark cloud which frequently rolled about. A loud roar or shriek boomed in the dark clouds seemingly evil and demonic.

The huge ancient trees only reached its thighs , the large and dark fur on it's body seemed like the night sky, gloomy and despicable. It looked humanoid, with its two humongous feet were like mountains, sturdy and looked monstrously powerful. The hairy upper limbs hang at it's sides like a pair of gigantic hills that looked as if they could carry the ocean and move mountains..

It was a quite bizarre and terrifying  sight, it stomped it's large foot endlessly causing the earth to shake and large amounts of these ancient trees leaned against each other like helpless grass.

The giant humanoid roared endlessly at the ground wishing to extinguish whatever it was that had met it's fury. Steve faintly recalled the blood red ant , he let out a gasp of surprise such a 'small' ant and it could still survive such an onslaught. Maybe it was because it was small that it could still survive?

Steve thought of this and shook his head , What use was thinking of such, forget this giant behemoth, he was scared to death when he spotted that weird ant. He felt so weak , like a small candle light that could be extinguished by a slight breeze.

The  the angry roars of the behemoth finally and quietly receeded, it let out one final roar and powerfully left heading to a direction close to where Steve was.

Steve finally heaved a sigh , although he was close the path of the giant, itwas not too close to him.

Steve watched as the behemoth loudly made it's way in between the ancient trees. Truly monstrous, if this thing was on earth he could only begin to imagine how much death and destruction it could cause.

A loud shriek suddenly blasted in to his ears, he observed as a large bird knocked into the giants hand, and fell helplessly towards the ancient forests. It wasn't the only one the behemoth lazily swiped it's gigantuous hands in the air causing the wind to howl and cry,  the large birds in the air to produce grieving shrieks and plummet to the ground.

Shrieks followed one another as many birds fell from the sky, not all shared the same fate though, a few large birds were like shadows as they quickly hid among the clouds.

They quietly watched as the behemoth made it's way, after a few seconds they sneakily followed, making sure not to be discovered.

Probably they followed the behemoth and made prey of what ever was left after his hunts.

Steve glanced at the silhout of the behemoth as got further and further away..

He closely observed the surrounding and after taking one last look he slowly made this way down.

When he had just reached halfway he suddenly heard another smaller shriek of a wounded bird.

He couldn't even react ,like lightning a a dark shadow crashed through the branches of a few large ancient trees and landed heavily on to the shore of the small river.

Steve's eye widened and fear crept up his spine, he blinked his eyes and closely observed the spot the dark thing had plummeted to the ground.

A cloud of red dust flew into the air, the light pierced through this cloud of dust and made it seem like a fiery cloud of fire.
