In general, Rance Fox is a barbarian.

Rance's talent is hunting and chopping woods. Even when he was 16, Rance's favourite woman was Aunt Mary, who raised two children and had a fatty waist.

Fox is, generally, a drunker.

Well, Rance is a drunker, too. As when he was 3 years old, once Fox was so drunk that he fed Rance with wine. This result in a consequence that Rance learnt to drink wine ever since he has memory. Well, as they were poor, Rance simply doesn't have too many chances to drink. 

The only chance that Rance can get a drink is that when he does well in chopping woods. As the more woods, he chops, the more money he makes so that he can get a drink. In this way, Rance has become a highly skilled woodchopper.

The way he chops wood is taught by Fox. 

Once upon a time, Fox was drunk and he started to brag his sword skills. According to Fox, he was one of the most famous swordsmen ten years ago before he adopted Rance.

Well, boys like weapons. Rance was excited and asked Fox to teach him. But he was cheated, as what Fox taught him is the method of chopping woods. After three years of hard working on wood chopping, one day young Rance suddenly realized that the skill that Fox taught him is simply not about how to use swords, but only cheat him to chop the wood, so that Fox can get some wine to drink.

Young Rance learnt the lesson that you should trust no one especially when they say they want to teach you something.
