Hey there!

I thought about including an epilogue that sets up the next arc of Basil's adventure, but ultimately decided against it. This is the end of the story, for now.

Sadly, Big Top hasn't found its footing the way I hoped for it to here on Royal Road, so I'm going to be taking it down on June 1st to make some (fairly major) edits and try my luck with it elsewhere.

Participating in the writathon was fun, if frustrating at times. I'm not entirely sure I'll be participating again, as the rapid pace meant that I felt a lot of pressure to keep pushing things forward even though I felt like there were parts and places where I wanted Basil to stop and breathe a little bit. Hence the edits. There's a lot of blemishes in the manuscript as it stands that I want to address and smooth over.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

However, I do enjoy writing serial fiction, so I think that I'll be back with another story in the future. I'm not sure what it'll be. Probably something with a more explicit progression/LitRPG focus, as those seem to do the best here on the site, and I'm trying to treat writing like a business venture.

While this was something of a miss, I'm super grateful to everyone who read it. A special thanks to those who left comments (most of which were nice, encouraging, or constructive), rated it, or favorited it. An extra big thanks to the couple people who gave it reviews. Positive feedback is a great motivator, and I hope you all enjoyed the story.

JUNE 1 2023 UPDATE:

Hey there! As I've said, I've gone ahead and taken down most of the chapters while leaving up the stub. I'm going to take some time and edit the story up and then it'll go to KU afterwards. However, if I end up writing any more volumes, they'll appear here as new chapters first.
