Amidst the gigantic body of mother earth, there is a small but lively kingdom named Pleast. Reign by King Arestee with righteousness, his people are living in peace and harmony. But one day, the love of Arestee's life, Queen Monica has passed away from sickness. The King was hit so hard by sorrow and fall deep into the abyss of mourning that any hand won't reach him even his son, Althem. To tend his broken heart, Arestee commands every force and extract every resource from his kingdom to construct the unending tower. Hoping for his lover to notice him and the love he has for her from the starry sky. No matter how high the tower is, Arestee never felt fulfilled. When materials for building almost run out, Arestee wages war with other kingdoms in order to get more slaves and resources to contribute to the tower construction. The fire of warfare rages throughout the land causes deaths and poverty that finds nowhere to end.
In a faraway village around the suburban area of Pleast Kingdom, A peasant is begging a soldier not to take her provisions.
"This is the last sack of grains to feed my sick father and my daughter. And I haven't eaten anything for three days now. I beg you... please don't take any more from us."
The squire leader in charge of gathering food for the labor replied reluctantly
"Like I care! it's the king order!" and starts to beat her.
At that time Prince Althem returns from the conquest battlefield passing that village saw the squire hurting his citizen. As the prince's sword cut through the body of that corrupted soldier with anger, Althem shouted.
"Anyone who oppresses my citizens shall face death under the blades of my army!"
He orders his army to hand out some dried foods of their own to the villages they pass then rushes to the Pleast's castle. The prince, as soon as he sees his father, he addressed what's in his mind. "King Arestee! Let alone distressed from the war is never what I desired. Yet you did up to extort provisions from our own citizens, this is too heartless as a king of all people!"
The king ignored his son and say to his adjutant, "It's time to visit the top of the unending tower again, let's go..."
"As her words are to put civilians as a center of her heart, what you are doing is against to what Queen Monica of the Pleast Kingdom wished for!", Althem interrupted.
His father rages as "Queen Monica" is now a forbidden word for this kingdom and jailed the prince from what he said.
Duke Quintin responsible for recruiting laborers, can't obey such a cruel order anymore so, he visited prince Althem in the jail. Quintin secretly tells the prince that he's planning to dethrone Arestee and appoint this fair prince to guide the people. Althem wants this plan to be the backup and asked Quintin a favor,

"Deep in the center of the west mythical forest, there's a great sorcerer with unimaginable power and divine wisdom named Natura resides. He is my wizardry master. Please find Natura, tell him we need him to stop my father. But if he rejects then you can continue according to your first intention."
The duke vow to bring Natura to restore peace back to Pleast kingdom and heads out to the mythical forest.
Quintin rides his trusted horse and gives his all to get through the mystical forest. Facing dangerous creatures, surviving harsh environments doesn't make this duke's unfaltering heart waver for even the slightest. But his body isn't unbreakable, after days and nights of struggling, Quintin fainted. Luckily, Natura can sense his existence and bring him to his place. Natura acknowledged Quintin's dedication in putting himself in danger for the sake of his apprentice's kingdom. "O' Diligent lord I shall accept your request," said the great sorcerer. He calls the wind to accompany them to the Pleast castle after Quintin is recovered.
"Your highness, how unsightly seeing you imbued with grieves and desperation. As a master of your son and your old friend, I'll give you a gift to soothe your agony. I shall create a "Star Bridge" tower for you, you will meet your dear at the top of this tower." Natura addressed to Arestee.
The king thanked him and rushes his old friend to do it right away.
"As you wish" Natura replied while summoning a 1000-story tower that pierces the clouds up in an instant.
"This tower also teeming with the memories you have with the Queen. Have a good time" he added. The king joyfully yet determinately walks up the tower that even the dumbest guy should know they'll surely die before reaching just a half of it.
As Arestee ascends, every single step flashes the time he shares with his dearest soulmate. He walked ceaselessly with a smile. The king enjoys what he had been through with Queen Monica. Then suddenly, His smile starts to fade.
"Monica, what do you like about me?" said prince Arestee.
"I love you because you treat me and the people as your precious. That heart filled with kindness is what makes me fascinated in you." Monica answered.
"Monica..." the king watching his memory slipped out as if he has recalled something.
Monica in his memory continues,
"Prince Arestee. Promise me, take care of that good heart that attracts me and civilians to revolve around you. To rules crowds of people is not an easy task, but I'm sure you will be a good king."
"I promise" prince Arestee gives his words.
Embracing the prince in memory Monica speaks gently, "You may be vulnerable and have some hard time but, I will always stay with you. If not by your side, then it's certainly within your heart."
Tears of regret start to flow out of the king's eyes. He mumbled regretfully,
"What have I done? I broke a promise I give to her a long time ago."
With these impactful fragments of his memories, Arestee regains his sense of morality and is free from the unending pain of sadness. The king made up his mind and said,
"I've had enough, Monica won't be happy on heaven if I'm like this."
As King Arestee turns around decided to go down the stairs. Natura has a smirk and abruptly put the king down to the ground and vanish the "Star Bridge" tower. King Arestee shows gratitude to the sorcerer and swears solemnly to make a change. He stops the unending tower construction, disengages in every war, frees his son, compensates for his actions, and gets back to the track of a righteous king.
Within a few years, Pleast Kingdom is recovered and prospers more than it has ever been.
"Praise our king!"
"King Arestee!"
"Praise our king!"
"King Arestee!"
His people acclaimed with happiness along everywhere he passes.
"I'm such a big fool for not knowing it" Arestee put a hand on his heart.
"You are always with me... and this time, I won't let you down"
