Ah, Levina, Baldwin thought to himself as his lips once again met his beloved, truly there is no man luckier than I to win the hand of one so beautiful. Even with his eyes closed, he still marveled at her brilliant blue eyes and scarlet hair that ran down the length of her back. Her delicate hands held his as the two continued in their embrace. May this moment never— Baldwin heard knocking at his door. He sighed and separated from Levina, “One moment, my love. Probably just some drunk who got lost on the way to the privy.”
She smiled brightly, her teeth sparkling at him, “Well don't take too long! It's cold tonight and I do so need your warmth!”
Baldwin opened the door to see Halig half-carrying Teon inside. “Took ye long enough lad!”
Baldwin's face soured, his fists balled by his side. “Again? This is the second time this month.” His voice was eerily calm, but the venom in his tone was undeniable. If only I stood a chance. He'd be groveling for mercy at your feet.

Teon gave him a weak smile, “It's alright Bald. I'll be fine. Now help me to the bed, will you?” Baldwin opened his mouth to press further, but Teon had a point. Nodding, he helped his father carry his wounded friend to the bed.
Levina's face took that stoic expression she always took whenever she had a patient to treat. She took Teon's face and examined it from every angle. “Try opening your eye as wide as you can.” He made a valiant attempt, but all he could manage was the slightest opening. “I'll need to lessen the swelling.” Levina rolled her sleeves up and tied her hair back into a bun before addressing Baldwin and Halig, “I’ll need your help. I need some mopea and umber moss. Say, a handful or two of each.”
Baldwin nodded, “Got it. Father, do we still have both in the garden?”
“Well if we didn’t that would be quite the problem, wouldn’t it? Of course we have both!” Halig responded.
“Go already! You may discuss it on your way there!” Levina scolded as she continued examining Teon’s wounds. Maker’s Eye, I love it when she gets like this, Baldwin marveled. “Baldwin!” Levina snapped.
“Right! My apologies!” He clapped Teon’s shoulder, “Hang in there and don’t give Levina too much trouble.” Teon opened his mouth to protest, but Baldwin had left before he got the chance.
