At this point I'm pretty certain this will at least be mutually beneficial. I intend to explore as much of the world this dungeon intends to bring me to, after all why wouldn’t i? Sure sci-fi has its perks but fantasy always implies there's something to find that's relatively close by. So whatever this dungeon has set up for me, I'm ready for it.
“Well if you’re certain you want to go through with this, then we start with one question. What form would you like to take? After all, I need to design a body and skill set for you in order to apply your soul to it.”
The dungeon doesn’t give me any choices or anything so I feel like I need to ask it. “Do I need to pick something in a list or something? You didn’t bring up any options to pick from.” It chuckles a little at my question which I just roll my eyes at, or at least I attempt to. I’ve only just noticed but i havent had to blink while I've been here and I can’t feel my body despite clearly being able to move. I’m brought out of my confused realization by the dungeon beginning to speak again.
“There are no ‘options’. I can design a body to be exactly as you describe it, although there are a couple of restrictions. If you have any desired forms just say so, even a light description will get us started.” Stopping to think for a couple of minutes I plan out a form in my head. Honestly I think everyone considers how they would most like to look at some point. It’s a little tough to come up with a body that I want the most out of all the options but eventually I come to a conclusion. “Alright, I’ve got one. Make me a body, a towering armored warrior, long white hair, Canine ears, and lengthy tail, also add a greatsword the size of an average human. If I'm going to be fighting people I want to hit them with a building.”
“Done. Any magic you would like to be able to cast?” The dungeon doesn’t even hesitate to confirm my choices, which is kind of surprising, I expected not to be able to request custom equipment. It offered magic but I have no context for what's possible, though, judging from its earlier lack of being explicit in its statements I imagine there isn’t a large list of things I can't ask for. On one hand I could take some of the regular elemental magic types but that's fairly dull. I would try to ask for something crazy powerful but I’m not really sure if I'd be capable of making good use of something like time magic. All things considered Spatial magic is a safe bet, teleportation space compression, shielding magic and flight would all be easy with that kind of magic.
Rune magic also seems like it would be a cool choice although I'm not sure what its limits are. With Runes I could enchant things, create magical traps using scrolls or spells I have available, things like that.

Although I feel like runic magic would need another kind of magic to synergize with rather than being a major part of my skill set.
There's an argument to be made for Summoning magic. I could provide more allies for the dungeon’s defense and to make any people who fight me have to multitask. Summoning would also provide a substitute for choices in any other magic as I'd likely be able to summon magic casting creatures. Then there is Component magic, which if I recall correctly is a magic type consisting of creating components that can be combined to make spells happen. Component magic is complex and is kind of like enchanting but for actively casting spells.
Honestly I can’t decide on just one so I ask the dungeon: “Is there any way to decide after I get my body for magic? I have several choices but I can't really choose one.” I would assume this whole deal will include levels and level rewards so I'm not too worried it won’t be possible but if there is some huge downside to waiting I do not want to be blind sided.
“Yes, waiting to pick a magic type is possible, I can just assign a part of the body to allow for it without losing out on potency from the delay. If you don’t have it set up this way you would have to level up quite a bit to choose any you might have chosen here.” I consider the options again for a moment but still fail to make any sort of decision on that front.
“Is there anything else I have to choose or figure out before you put me into that body?” The dungeon gives a quick negative on that question so I continue. “Then I’m ready for whatever you have to do to get me over there.” The dungeon simply tells me to wait for a moment, and in only a short moment all sight and sound vanish leaving me in some kind of absence of place. After a while I start to feel sensation again, at first It's just touch, then sound, and eventually I open my eyes.
The first thing I see is a really plain circular stone room and two doors. The first clearly looks like a door to a different room. I think I can even see some… rats… really? Rats? That's disappointing even if a little expected. The other door however looks to house a short hall leading directly to a room holding a large bright crystal formation with uncountable runes housed within. The dungeon starts to speak to me again, this time however it sounds like It's actually coming from the direction of the previously described crystal.
“Good to see you’ve adjusted, I still haven’t had anyone attempt to clear the first floor yet so if you would like to take control of one of the rats then feel free to take a look around the dungeon.” Honestly speaking that sounds boring, judging from the outside of the room, and for that matter the inside as well. Taking a look around my arena I don't even see any objects other than the 4 torches spread evenly around the walls. “I think I have a better idea. I hope this won't come off as insulting but the first floor looks... Incredibly devoid of any design elements past what enemies are where. Is there no way to make this place look a bit less like a square cave and more like a proper location?”
