"Madier" a distance voice calls out softly. "Madier liste—"
"Jay. We're here." Madier leans over and gently shakes Jay awake.
"T-two more... seconds, please.." Jay murmurs, refusing to open her eyes. Madier sits in the driveway with their thoughts, waiting for the voice's cry.
"Jay," Madier calls out, trying to break the silence, "Have you ever seen a blank?" The empty darkness of the night stiffens.
"Madier seems more serious than usual," Jay thinks, fixing her posture and shifting her gaze to look at Madier. Madier turns their head, meeting Jay's eyes awaiting a response.
"Um.. I think so" Jay says. The look Madier gives Jay sends a chill down her spine.
"What was your change?" asks Madier in a low voice.
"Something little, like the number of teeth in my mouth and my tongue got a little longer." Jay says, "Why?"
"Why what?" Madier's expression begins to soften and they unlock the car door.

"Why did you ask?" Jay persists. Madier stares silently at Jay not knowing how to respond.
" ...if you could choose, what would you change?"
"Change about what? Myself?"
"Mhm. If you had the power to change anything about yourself, what would you change?"
"Um... " Jay starts to stroke her chin in deep thought. "Can I think about it for a little, I'm too tired for this. Besides with everything going on right now, that question 's a bit overwhelming." Jay stops looking at Madier and begins to open her door. "I need a biiiiiig stretch!" Jay yawns stepping out of the car onto the driveway. Jay looked around trying to see what was around her, but there was one street light at the very end of the erie road. "Where's your house!?"
"Hold Up!" Madier shouts back at Jay through the open car door. "Always yelling," Madier muttered, turning on the front lights with the console in the car.
"Woah!" Jay exclaimed slowly making her eyes up the sleek pearlescent driveway glistening in the bright surrounding flood lights. The landscaping was very minimalist with a stone filled lawn and desert esque plants leading to the breathtaking floor-to-ceiling reinforced glass paneled walls making the inside visible. The masterpiece stood at least three stories with 11 foot high ceilings on each floor. The entrance had a cutting-edge design with a sleek automated door, reflecting a perfect fusion of technology and sophistication.
"Please," the wind whistles softly. Madier steps out the car ignoring the cries.
"Did you hear that?" Jay frantically looks around, but can only see the huge house and darkness as far as her eyes can see. Madier gives an annoyed expression.
