"Ok I don't care you are coming tonight"
“No” I grabbed my book from my locker and headed towards the parking lot.
“But but Ali” She dragged out the I as her petite figure followed closely behind.
“Em you know I don't do a lot of the fancy parties”
“But it's my birthday they're gonna be music food, beer… boys” She giggled I laughed at her enthusiasm and held the door open for her and the few people behind us.
“There's an issue though”
“No, I didn't invite Clarissa”
“Not that…. I don't have anything to wear” her face lit up with enthusiasm as she jumped up and down
“I can help”
“No, because you have to go to your house to get everything ready”
“B-but”
“Emy I'll be fine, I'll see you at 9”
“9:15,” she said and started walking off to her car.
“Wait why 9:15?” I yelled after her.

“Nobody who's cool shows up on time!” She yelled and got into her car I laughed and started walking down the sidewalk.
“Hey, Alison want a ride” I looked over at Trevor and his friends as they slowly drove up next to me.
“What's that catch?” I asked laughing.
“No catch”
“Hmm with you there's always a catch” he laughed and stopped the truck.
“Fine the catch is letting us come to Emily's party tonight” I looked around and then back at him.
“You know it's a masquerade ball right? That means you have to dress up”
“Yeah” he scoffed I laughed and walked over jumping into the bed of his truck with William.
“Wouldn't you rather ride up front?”
“No” Trevor started to drive again and I knocked on the back window.
“I need you to drop me off at the clothing shop on 13th street” he gave a thumbs up and took a right towards town.
