For two thousand years, the scattered remnants of humanity have receded to live lives under the safety of their ingenuity.  The Monstrum - the highly adaptable predator of Man now walk the free lands while the ashen skeletons of a past, grand civilization bleaches under the cruel, uncaring tooth of time.  In the Land of Cradle, the Children of Bravelle walked under the shadows of walls and caves. In the sea, the Children of Logos lived in complete darkness in the crushing depths of the abyss and outside the protective geography of the Cradle of Mankind, the savages waged an endless war of attrition against the Monstrum.  After thousands of years of hiding in shame, the unchecked tide of horrors finally met resistance - courageous warriors united under a common cause; the reunification of humanity and the destruction of the Monstrum.  The Orders of Warriors gave their best men to form the Ghasts who would serve as the Governor’s tools for the reclamation in the bloodiest war ever known for the races of Men - the Purge of Cradle and the subsequent push for the frontier.  Finally, a humanity divided for millennia now stand united against the unending tide of the Monstrum as Cradelian feet tread grounds not trodden in thousands of years. It is in these days that we find ourselves observing Logan - a Ghast of the Governor’s hands, as he and his companions seek to uncover the remaining sources of the Monstrum still oppressing the peripheral citizens of Cradle.
