The following are the records of the Kumawu City Incident. Kumawu City was once the beloved capital of the Island Nation Of Asafua but now it is no more. Knowledge of what occurred is not publicly known and there is much speculation as to what actually happened even now. The existence of these records is only possible due to the memories of two entities involved in the affair.

Imperial Year 3994,
31st day of The Month Of The Waning Moon,
Kumawu City, Island Nation Of Asafua.
Within the confines of this large and wondrous city, a young boy was being scolded. Today was his mother's birthday and he had been pondering over what to give to her as a gift. The boy was far too young to work so anything expensive was off the table. Which meant that the gift would have to be something he could buy with his meager allowance. This greatly upset him as he felt something so cheap would not be enough for her. That was when he had the thought of waking her with a special breakfast. His mother loved to eat and was a bit of a glutton, thus he felt this would be the perfect gift.
The boy planned to make it himself as he believed only his food would be good enough for his mother. It was a rather prideful thought to have especially for one so young but to the boy's credit, he was a rather good cook. Which is why it was so unfortunate that most of the meals he made ended up so awful. Though he had good taste and intuition when it came to food and cooking, he was easily distracted and this led to a majority of the meals he prepared being ruined by easily preventable accidents. Today was no different.
While he was cooking, he had spotted a large gathering of flies outside and he was so fixated on them that he had failed to notice that he spilled water on the floor. The boy slid on the water, knocking all the food he was making onto the floor. The noise woke his mother, who had planned on sleeping in that day, and she came down to see what had happened.
Though she was touched by his actions, she still felt she had to scold him. When she was done, the boy looked like he was on the verge of tears.
"I know you just wanted to make me happy but please try to be more careful, you could have gotten hurt."
The boy nodded but he still kept looking at the ground. The woman smiled and placed her hand on his shoulder. The boy looked up and saw a bunch of silver coins in her hand.
"Since your original gift to me went up in smoke, how about this? Go to Ms. Akua's bakery and buy me a cake."
Puzzled, the boy stared at her face. He felt that this couldn't really be considered a gift as she was asking him to do it.
"Maame, I don't really think that this is much of a gift."
"You know Ms. Akua has the best baked foods in the entire city, right?"
The boy nodded. He would often go there with his friends to eat there and could attest to just how sweet her pastries and cakes were.
"What you don't know is just how much I can't stand that woman. She walks around like she's god's gift to the world! I just can't stand her but unfortunately, I love her cakes soooo much. They taste so good. Everytime I eat them it feels like I've just eaten a slice of heaven."
Watching how quickly his mother could switch from pure anger when describing Ms. Akua to pure joy when describing her food, served to remind the boy of just how much of a glutton she was.
"Because of how much I hate her, I haven't gone there in years, so believe me when I say that doing this for me is a really big deal."
After her explanation, the boy still didn’t feel that it was much of a gift but he still smiled and quickly set off for the bakery because it was his mother’s wish.
As she watched him leave, a wave of different and contrasting emotions washed over her. Things had been hard for her. It hadn't been easy looking after a child by herself for all these years. She often wondered if she even deserved to be a mother but everytime she saw him smile, she felt happy and content with the choices that had led her on this path.
******************************************************************************
The boy had been running at full speed, bumping into people all the while. The people he bumped into weren’t angry as they knew his mother. The boy’s mother was a former mercenary and she often helped when monsters attacked the town. This coupled with the fact that it was her birthday today, prevented them from feeling any anger towards his actions.
The boy raced past the town square and fountain that he and his friends played in, past the school they went to and soon, the boy would reach the bakery, but before he could, he saw something falling from the sky.
Whatever it was crashed into a house farther ahead of him. The impact of the fall utterly destroyed the building and as a result dust and debris filled the air, obscuring the appearance of what had fallen. Curious and wary about what could possibly have fallen, some of the onlookers moved closer to get a good look at it. They stopped in their tracks as they heard a loud, booming voice.
"*Sigh* can't that thing just leave me alone!"
The people that heard the voice collapsed to the ground and covered their ears from the sheer pain the voice brought them. It sounded like hundreds of nails scratching against a chalkboard. The voice seemed to come from within their own minds and it echoed each time it spoke.
Once the dust settled, they saw the entity causing them so much pain. They were already terrified at this point but the sight of the creature before them filled their very souls with dread.
It resembled a fly but it was unlike any fly they had ever seen. It was as large as a man, no, even larger than that. It stood on two legs and its four remaining hands each carried a gold scepter with a differently colored crystal on top of it. The fly carried with it the aura of a supreme and indomitable ruler. Its large purple eyes were separated into smaller segments that perfectly captured each individual part of its surroundings.
One individual who wasn't as paralyzed with fear as the others, observed countless flies on the ground close to him bowing and rubbing their hands as if in prayer and worship to the being in front of them.
There were numerous tales and myths told about it, yet not many believed them. Most of the people knew what the creature was and they knew that seeing it meant certain death. Yes, the entity before them was the Lord Of The Flies himself, Beelzebub.
"Hmm? Are you all bowing? You're afraid of me, aren't you? Fear not, you worthless humans, I have no intention of killing you."
Despite how painful and unpleasant his voice was, Beelzebub's words relieved the people before him. That was until he spoke again.
"Though, you're all going to die anyway."
The people would not have enough time to ponder over his words as multiple beams of light passed through them and left gaping holes in their bodies. The beams of light continued on until they slammed into Beelzebub.
A loud boom could be heard from afar as flames sprouted and engulfed the entire area.
Suddenly, more beams of light rained upon Beelzebub. They pierced through and burned everything. Everything except for Beelzebub that is.
He rose from the flames into the air to face his opponent. Realizing that such weak attacks would not faze The Lord Of The Flies, his adversary descended from its position among the clouds.
It was much larger than Beelzebub and as such was visible from every part of the city. Unlike the vile and repulsive air Beelzebub carried with him, this entity had an almost divine feel to it. Though that didn't stop the people from being terrified of it.
Its descent from the heavens and the divine aura surrounding it could be mistaken for an angel or some kind of god. Its appearance however, did not match any description of angels or gods in the religions of the people.
The only way to describe the 'angel' is that it was a large, swirling mass of pure white wings and eyes.
"Kehehehe, so you've finally shown yourself! Good, let us bathe in the ecstasy of battle!"
Beelzebub raised one of the scepters he held.
"As the lord of gluttony, I command the all-consuming fires of Gehenna to rise and devour my enemy!"
Flames hotter than any fire, hotter than anything in existence shot out of the red crystal on the scepter. The flames raced across the sky towards their target. Before they could hit, naked winged creatures burst out of the eyes of the swirling mass.
They were about the same size as humans and had pale white skin. They had no eyes and their mouths were filled with sharp fangs. Though the winged creatures were naked, they had no genitals as sexual reproduction was completely pointless to them.
Thousands of the creatures swarmed out in front of their 'mother' to protect it from the incoming flames. Although the flames burnt them to ash, they were still able to serve as shields for their 'mother'.
Beelzebub snickered. He knew he could have instantly killed them all with their 'mother' if he had not held back, but he did not. After all humans do not use all their strength when dealing with ants, so why should he?
"And here I thought that this was going to be a simple one versus one but if you are going to involve your children in this fight, then so shall I."

Beelzebub dropped the scepter with a red crystal from his hand. When he did so, it instantly disappeared and a new scepter with a black crystal appeared in his hand.
"Come to me my voracious children of darkness! Your father has a task for you."
When he finished speaking, the earth shook. His children came from the trees, from the bushes, from the houses, from the refuse and from the dead. Millions of flies flew up into the air and swarmed around Beelzebub. They filled the sky and blotted out the sun.
In response, more winged creatures were born from the swirling mass.
The voracious flies flew out and latched themselves onto winged creatures. The flies ate through their skin, through their flesh and even through their bones. As the flies continued their attack, the winged creatures launched one of their own. They all spat out beams of light from their large mouths, burning the flies in the process.
"Our children seem to be enjoying themselves. Personally, I think we should leave them to it."
Beelzebub raised another scepter. This one had a blue crystal embedded into it.
"Unfeeling and eldritch chill of Cocytus, trap my adversary in eternal ice!"
A blue light shot from the scepter. Despite its size, the swirling mass of eyes swiftly dodged it by crashing into the ground. Many people died, crushed beneath its immense weight.
The blue light missed its mark and instead hit another section of the city. The people and buildings it hit became encased in ice. It covered them completely but it did not kill them. However, the cold was so bitter and chilling that they all longed for death but it eluded them nonetheless.
Flying through the air, The Lord Of The Flies dropped all his scepters. As soon as he did so, scepters with red crystals took their place.
As their children continued to fight, Beelzebub and the 'angel' seized each other up from a distance. The two continued to stare at each other for quite a while. Even as the humans below and around them panicked, screamed and tried to escape, the two unfathomable entities never broke eye contact with each other.
The 'angel' was the first to make a move. Using its large, sphere-like body, it rolled around the city, trampling and snuffing out the lives of all the humans beneath it.
Beelzebub followed it and unleashed consecutive blasts of hellfire upon the 'angel'. However, its speed proved to be too much for The Lord Of The Flies and his attacks only succeeded in incinerating the worthless ants that had the misfortune of being involved in this battle.
"How annoying! Is running all that you can do?!"
As their battle grew on, Beelzebub grew wary of the 'angel's' cowardice. He considered ending the fight early when it suddenly responded with an attack of its own. It was almost as if it took offense to his taunt.
Golden lasers flew out from its numerous eyes. Though there were many, Beelzebub nimbly dodged every single one.
"Kehehehe, is that really the best you can do?"
The moment he finished speaking, Beelzebub felt something hurtling towards him. He flew high up in the air and just narrowly avoided another laser barreling towards him. The 'angel' hadn't attacked him again and the senses he shared with his children informed him that it wasn't an attack from the 'angel's' children.
Beelzebub looked up and noticed hundreds of stationary lasers. It was then that he realized that the 'angel's' attacks could change course midair.
More lasers followed and soon Beelzebub found himself entangled in a dance of death.
The lasers bounced, turned and twisted, all in an attempt to hit The Lord Of The Flies but he easily dodged them all. Unfortunately for the ants below, many stray shots ended up hitting the ground again.
"While I do admit that this is rather impressive, if this is all you can do, I'm rather disappointed. This fight is over."
Yet again Beelzebub dropped all his scepters and ones with black crystals appeared in his hand.
"Let's end this."

Throughout the entire battle, the boy had been rooted to the spot. Even as he beheld the smell of rotting and burning corpses, he still stayed. Was it fear or was it curiosity that made it impossible for him to look away? Even he couldn't tell.
He would have probably stayed there were it not for his mother. The moment the fighting started she raced out of her home to find her son and once she did, she carried him in her arms and ran in the direction away from the city.
She ran so fast and hard that it didn’t take too long before she nearly made it to the city gates. The boy could not believe his mother could run so fast and wondered if it was desperation that made her run so fast.
While her fear did play a huge part in their escape from the city, the woman's former work as a mercenary was what gave her the strength to do so.
"It’s okay honey, we're almost out of the city!"
It was only a matter of time until they made it out of the gate, it was only a matter of time until they were free. Although they would lose all their possessions, they would still be alive and that was much more important.
Unfortunately, things are never that easy.
Just a few meters from the gate, the woman's senses alerted her to the danger looming behind her. She instinctively threw her son away from her. He tumbled across the ground for quite a few meters.
He managed to get up just in time to see a stray laser crash into his mother.
"Maame! Maame! Maame! Maame!"
Seeing this, he ran to her, crying out for his mother all the way but by the time he got there, her ashes were already floating in the wind.
******************************************************************************
Up in the sky, Beelzebub was preparing for his final attack. An eerie glow emitted from all his scepters as they left his hands and floated around him. Then, as if in prayer, he clasped his hands together.
The 'angel' wasted no time in taking advantage of this. Hundreds of lasers barreled towards The Lord Of The Flies.
"Feast on everything, G-U-L-A!"
A large, black dome formed around the city. Within this dome, the few survivors of this ferocious battle would meet their end.
The lasers that hurtled towards Beelzebub disappeared without a trace. At the same time, the humans began to lose parts of themselves.
It was as if something was taking a bite out of them. Whatever this unknown force was, it seemed to enjoy taking its time because its consumption of the pitiful humans was slow and painful. The parts that were consumed seemed to be random too. Some individuals lost their heads first and as a result, they died instantly. Others were not so fortunate for they would lose parts of themselves that did not leave them fatally wounded, leaving them to wallow in their pain. This continued until there was nothing left of them. Soon, the buildings began to be affected and eventually, Beelzebub's attack began to affect the ‘angel’.
First, one eye disappeared. When it did, purple blood flowed out and washed over the ground.
A loud, piercing screech could be heard throughout the city. The screech shattered glass and caused the ground to shake.
"Oh, so you do feel pain! Don't worry this is going to be over soon!"
More eyes and wings began to disappear and more purple blood gushed upon the earth. As this continued, the screeches grew louder and louder, until there was not a single trace of the 'angel' left. Even after it died, for two minutes, the screams continued to permeate across the city.
"How annoying."
Beelzebub floated down onto the ground. As he looked around and saw the devastation and destruction his fight had caused, he felt nothing. Even as he beheld the burnt and disfigured corpses of the ants, he felt nothing. Even as the awful stench of their carcasses assaulted his senses, he still felt nothing.
It was clear to him that there were no survivors, after all, no ant could possibly survive this.
Beelzebub considered leaving when he saw a young ant out of the corner of his eye. He was covered in dirt and was missing an arm. It would seem he did not survive unscathed.
******************************************************************************
Following the death of his mother, the boy gathered what little remained of her ashes in a pile. As he continued to stare at her ashes in a daze, many thoughts circled through his mind.
'Should I run...but maame...what should I do...why did this happen...'
The boy was troubled with the decision that he would have to make. He knew the smart thing to do would be to run but he wanted to stay close to what remained of his mother. While pondering this decision, the boy felt a sharp pain originating from his right arm. Looking down, he realized that his arm had disappeared.
Blood flowed freely from the wound and pieces of his flesh tumbled onto the ground. As the pain continued, he took bigger and bigger breaths.
The boy grabbed the little of his mother that he could and ran in the direction of the town gates. He didn't stop until he was well beyond them.
From there, he watched as chunks of buildings and streets were forcibly ripped apart by some invisible force.
Soon, the invisible force stopped attacking but a loud ear splitting scream would take its place. Once whatever it was stopped screaming, he unfurled his fist and looked at his mother again.
Then it finally hit him, his mother was dead. With all the chaos around him, he had not fully realized it. With that realization, he broke down. Tears streaked across his face and although he tried to rub them away with his shirt, they just wouldn't stop.
With his tears still running and despite the danger that was still present, the boy walked back into the city with his mother's ashes firmly in his fist. He was motivated by one simple desire, he wanted to find something to put her in. He didn't know much about funerals or how people grieve their dead but he felt that this was something he needed to do.
As he walked through the burning hellscape that was once his home, fear and misery spread through his body. It was fear born from the thought of what kind of being could even cause all this and the sadness of losing everything that he knew. But at the same time, another emotion formed in him. It was anger. Anger at the being that callously destroyed everything that he knew.
******************************************************************************
The young boy stared at him with an unflinching gaze. Beelzebub could sense a mix of different emotions within those tiny eyes. It was a mix of fear, grief and unparalleled hatred.
As the boy continued to glare at him, Beelzebub wondered if it was fate or just pure luck that the boy had survived.
Beelzebub walked closer to the boy and was sure that he would run away once he got close enough. But the boy did not run. He stood his ground and looked at The Lord Of The Flies directly in his eyes.
