Chapter 4 - Hope
------------------------------------------------
"....What?!" Vince thought.
However, it was too late. His foot had already left the top of the cabinet. His body, swaying in a perpetual motion, felt as if it was falling off of the edge of the world.
He remembered reading a story about a guy name Evan who jumped off the golden gate bridge and survived. The only thing he remembered thinking before he hit the water was regret.
In the minuscule moment between life and death, Vince Edwards had finally realized that he didn't want to die; however life was going to screw him one last time before he died.
The rope got tighter around his neck as he felt the life being squeezed out of him. Grasping at rope, Vince tried one last desperate attempt at saving his own life, however it was to no avail.
Putting his arms down, all he could hear was the beating of his own heart trying it's hardest to supply his brain with oxygen. Remembering the strange voice he heard only seconds before, Vince was saddened. Finally, when he died, all he was going to be left with was questions. Slowly, darkness crept into the corner of his vision and slowly consumed him.
Then he felt some relief. Suddenly, something was pushing up on his legs! He could feel the pressure around his neck getting looser and looser. With some sense of hope left, Vince clawed at the rope and loosened it enough that he could finally pull his head out.
Releasing his head, he finally fell to the ground and sprawled out. Sweat was covering his beat red face as he gasped for air. "I'll never take oxygen for granted again in my life," he thought to himself.
Finally coming to his senses, Vince heard that someone was sobbing. At first, he thought it might be himself, but on closer inspection he realized that there was a girl laying on his chest.
"Vince," she said between sobs. Finally lifting her head, he saw that the girl was in fact Becca. "I... followed... and... I saw... Oh my god Vince..." she barely managed to choke out.
Whether it was just because of the situation, or because of the intense gratitude he felt for this girl for saving his life, Vincent pushed his head down and gave Becca a firm kiss.
Pulling away, you could see Rebecca's eyes were filled with sadness as well as surprise.
"I'm so sorry..." Vince finally managed to say, as tears were beginning to form in his eyes.
"I just..." The tears were beginning to flow now, and Becca managed to return Vince's earlier kiss as if to say, "It's okay... I know... Everything is going to be okay..."
Tears had turned into sobs for Vince now and he cried his heart out along with Rebecca. With her face pressed against his chest, her warm tears soaked into his shirt and onto his skin. Their bodies seemed to form perfectly together as they lie there, absorbing one another's sadness.
After about an hour, Becca finally lifted her head up and gave Vince a sad smile.
"Oh god, I probably look horrible," she said in a muffled voice.
"You look fine," said Vince, not in a very convincing manner.
"...Do you mind if I go... like.. wash up.. inside?" she said.
"O-of course. I mean, of course not. I mean... yeah, you can go wash up inside." The initial craziness of the situation had worn off, and now both of them were starting to realize how strange the situation was. Two people who had just been 'friends' until yesterday were now lying on each other crying.
Vince, still quite flustered, managed to lead her to his room with his bathroom attached to it. Becca managed to fix her makeup in the bathroom while Vince sat deep in thought.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
"What was that voice?" He thought to himself. Vince could have sworn it called him 'child.'
Becca exited the bathroom, breaking Vince's train of thought. "Wow," he thought to himself. Her hair was kind of messy and her eye liner was somewhat smudged, but until now he had never fully been able to appreciate how beautiful she was.
Her breasts weren't overly huge, however they seemed to fit perfectly with her body shape. Her face was by far her most beautiful feature, and her big, auburn, eyes stared at him for a couple of seconds before she sat down on his bed.
Both of them were silent for a couple seconds before Vince couldn't handle it any more. "Are you okay?" he asked her.
"I should be the one asking you that! You were trying to kill yourself!" said Becca.
"Yeah, well..." he said quietly.
"I know... you don't have to talk about it. I know you have more than one perfectly good reason for doing what you did. But I just want to let you know that people care. I care." Becca finally spurts out nervously.
He'd heard this line before from cousins and aunts and uncles when his mother died, but something about the way she said it made it all the more believable. That, and the fact that she just saved his life.
Vince hadn't really had much contact with the opposite sex. He'd been in the hospital for two years, and since then he'd been battling deep depression.
Despite that, what he did next felt completely natural to him. Vince brushed her hair over her ear with one hand, while the other hand wiped at a tear starting form on the corner of her eye. Holding her head in his hands, Vince pulled her close and locked her lips with hers in a much more intimate manner than the previous two kisses.
Slowly, like a child learning to ride a bike, their tongues started to intertwine together and play mischievously with one another. After several minutes, Becca pushed Vince down onto the bed and started to take off his shirt.
With only their underwear on, Vince started to play with her breasts that fit perfectly in his hand. Grabbing a condom out from a box under his bed. Rebecca grabbed it from him and proceeded to put it on him in a skilled manner.
He wasn't sure whether or not she had done this before, but he didn't really care right now. Everything that he was doing right now felt so natural that he was surprised it was his first time.
Becca grabbed his most precious part, and slowly guided it inside of herself.
What came next was something that can't be described in words. Rocking back and forth, moaning, sweating. He could have sworn it lasted for hours.
All the pain and sadness Vince had to endure over the past couple years felt like it was being released in the form of sexual pleasure. The ball of sadness that was always lingering in the pit of his stomach seemed to be slowly being shared with Becca, and in turn lessening the burden on Vince.
After several hours, Vince finally used up the last of his stamina and collapsed onto his bed. Him and Becca lay stark naked, completely drenched in beads of sweat. Vince pulled the covers over them and pulled her into his embrace, hugging her tight. All that could be heard was the heavy breathing of the two lovers as Vince slowly closed his eyes and drifted out of consciousness.

Wow. Well, I'm sorry for the long wait on this chapter. I was having trouble trying to figure out exactly where I wanted to go with this chapter. I thought maybe this would be taking things too fast... but I realized that's kind of how life is some times. Also, this shows you guys a little bit about Vince. A little spontaneous maybe? ;)
Anyways, thanks for reading and I'm sorry again for the wait. Much love to all my readers and if any of you want to leave comments/private messaged me or even leave a small review just know it means the world to me. Thanks again!
