Spoiler :
Why, why is this happening to me? I murmured to myself as I have suffered my 23rd defeat in 23 campaigns against the Darkness Overlord. In the beginning when I was anointed as hero, I had the support of everyone despite not having confidence in myself. And now I have already lost the support of the empire, kingdom and church, even a villager kid would spit on the ground when he sees me.
I used to have many followers and armies by my side. However, now that has been reduced to merely me and my childhood friend, Yuri. After every defeat, she would always console me and start with her "Yurika moment" to brighten the mood. But now, I pushed her away as well after this defeat and locked myself away in my room. I really am a talentless hero, aren't I?I envy my previous comrades yet feel sorry for them trying to support the useless me.
Alan, who was a talented knight sent by the king to aid me was a kind and brave man. He would shield us and protect us from the biggest of threats with his defensive capabilities. However, the king recalled him after the 12th defeat against the Overlord's army. He protested against the king, but the king was adamant that he was far too precious to be invested on this "hero". Well, I can't rely refute that fact either way can I?
Tricia, our cleric was a cheeky and nosy, yet amicable girl who was sent by the church during my initial campaigns as well to support the vanguard, which was the hero's party. She is our party's mascot(well sorry for being a useless hero) and also our party's mood maker. I guess her leaving was sort of my fault when she cracked a joke after our 17th defeat. But hey, she should not have said that I lacked foresight jokingly after that particular ambush even if it was true. Okay, so I was a bit oversensitive, but she could at least read the mood.
Lastly is Yuri, my childhood friend and crush who was not only beautiful but also caring. She was our party's DPS mage who can rain down merciless spells contrary to her angelic smile(which by the way seems even scarier to me). She had also strongly supported me through tough times, but i guess that will no longer happen.
Hiro, you really are a useless hero aren't you? You have saved no one and brought so many casualties to the human race, you're better off dying. I cursed myself as I recalled every failure etched into my mind as if they were yesterday's events. Maybe I am better off dead after all?

Spoiler :
Sigh, this is too cruel. I muttered to myself in a daze while in the middle of a grand meeting between generals.
"Sir, we should invade the western border of Krevis. The orcs and goblins would massacre those weak humans!"
"My liege, we need more drake reinforcements against the Holy Kingdom of Valeria as we are getting pushed back!"
"...attack"
"...pillage"
Sigh, I wonder why are demons so aggressive, can't we seek a peaceful conclusion? Maybe I am the anomaly and not them. Vincent Lukevan III, the demon lord continues to ponder while twiddling around with his jet long hair whether he should order for a peace treaty. After long consideration while ignoring the rest of the generals present, Vincent stood up and said,"Should we not seek pe..."
"My lord, the paladins from East Falkas are invading, we need reinforcements! What did you say again, sir?"
"Nothing." Vincent mutter in a soft voice. He only inherited the position of demon lord through his father who terrorized the entire world. Despite others holding expectations of him being a merciless ruler, Vincent dislikes violence and meaningless wars. However, his constitution of extreme shyness and stage fright has prevented many of his arguments from even starting. Can I just leave this world? This was Vincent's last thought.

Spoiler :
"Priscilla, stand straight. Eat properly. Smile elegantly."the instructor madame once again nagged to her. It was yet another ball that she had to attend in a foreign country that she had to attend. There were many nobles and royal families attending and Priscilla is Xeniria's second princess.
She was dubbed as the "Dull and boorish princess" due to her utter dislike of engaging in graceful activities like singing and dancing, but rather fawning over sword duels and military drills. "There should be nothing wrong with liking thrills over frills," she muttered to herself displeased as if a silent protest.
As if to interrupt her inner thoughts, the young heir of the Quentis family walked up to her and extended his hand out with a mocking grin on his face. "Princess Priscilla, may I have a dance?" he said out in a shrewd voice to make it obvious that he was making fun of her. Snickers can be heard around as the other nobles looked down on her. This can be well attributed to the known fact that Xeniria's second princess has zero talent in dancing, but versed in the field of military footwork.
Knowing that this was just a distasteful joke, she replied with a gracious smile yet unkind words. "Ohoho, I don't mind. But shouldn't Sir Neville pick someone his own size to dance with?" she said, whilst taking note of the other party's height complex. Priscilla was rather tall for a girl as she was closing 180 centimetres, making her look rather imposing when on high heels.
"You..."
"Well then, please excuse me." Priscilla interrupted, as she made a hasty retreat after scoring a victory in an un-ladylike way. She then headed to the balcony where there was basically no one else but her so that she can finally have some peaceful respite from that frustrating party. She curled her brown hair as she looked faraway enviously. I do not wish to be a girl in the first place, she thought as she continued gazing away.

Spoiler :
"Dang, I can't study fer nuts!" Kevin violently scratches his head as he vented his frustration at the arithmetic textbook placed in his face. Born and raised in a normal family, going to a normal school, he was a rather normal person. It was only until that lucky moment in life where he got accepted into a rather prestigious private school where his fate was sealed.
The school had a strict elitist view towards education and a normal kid like him ends up straggling behind despite all his efforts to study. Soon, he started to procrastinate and skip lessons while the rest of his classmates were still diligently mugging away(in his opinion). He truly regretted his cruel streak of luck that went downhill afterwards and continuously lamented about his torturous days of studying.
"God, please save me from this torture."Kevin sighs as he continues to stare at the book till he burnt holes through it.
Meanwhile, in an enclosed room in another part of the world lay Sammy. Or actually Samantha in long, but everyone would call her Sammy if they could even remember her. Sammy was after all a closet recluse who only indulge in fastasy games. People who known her regarded her as a NEET, for she stopped going to school since middle school after a major bullying incident. Sammy was after all quite pretty and the jealousy of girls can get pretty ugly too, especially after she got proposed to by a hot guy. After a month of social ostricisation and intense bullying, Sammy got fed up and just locked herself up in her room.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
After the culprits were apprehended, there were several attempts to rehabilitate her back into society. However, she refused to return as she found a new joy in playing games. More specifically fantasy MMORPGs that she could keep grinding and going on quests to meet people online rather than real people.
After a year of being a recluse who shut herself away form the world, she grew tired of MMORPGs as she played many major titles, but her favorite one, Elekia The Uprising was shutting down due to a company acquisition which will incorporate many other things and ruin the novelty of the original game. This was a disappointment to her and many other fans as well.
"Aaaaah, I want to live in a fantasy world," she said in boredom while rolling around her bed in her pajamas.
On the other side of the spectrum, there lay Hise who was fascinated but nothing but the mysteries of the world, BL(Boys Love). Hise has a slender and small build that is similar to a girl being about a 160cm high. He also acts rather shyly, leading to many of his guy classmates either calling him a pansy or a girl, which neither was short of an insult. On the other hand, the girls stood up for him like he was one of their kind. This made him feel slightly awkward, to even be protected by girls.
It was unknown to him when he actually started liking such a genre such as BL. Perhaps it was when his friend who was a fujoshi accidentally(who knows?) passed him a BL book instead of the action adventure novel he asked for. Maybe, that was when he ventured into the forbidden land.
After it was known that he had such tastes, more girls(of a certain kind) approached him, while more guys shunned away from him. This led to him feeling more conflicted and he often does what he does at this moment during class. He would stare out the window wishing that he was someone else.

Spoiler :
"Damn, this is not going as planned!" a young teenage girl who tied her hair up as a pony tail continued to runaway from a pursuit of hostile creatures. It feels kind of weird to call them enemies nor humans for they were no longer her classmates nor schoolmates that were chasing behind her. All that remained from this post apocalyptic world due to a zombie pandemic outbreak was basically her, a handful of survivors scattered across the world and a hell lot of them, zeds.
Maya was running low on rations and had to go scavenging for food and water. She was presented with the choice of going to either the convenience store 2 streets down, the department store beside her school or the supermarket which was 3 streets away. She noted the risks of the department store and supermarket being possible infestation hot spots and decided on going to the convenience store.
However once she left for the convenience store, she was not too sure as she had to lug all the resources back to her safe house in school which was barricaded with tables and accessed through a ladder. It might be better to go to the nearby department store as the convenience store may have already been scavenged by someone else. But since, the department store was so big it poses a large threat, so the supermarket would be a more optimal choice...
This continued series of mental conflicts in the Maya conference in her brain was suddenly halted when she was interrupted with a friendly pat on the back. Oh right, she realised she was in the middle of the streets in front of school, so maybe that pat was not so friendly as she slowly turned around to see a decaying hand on her shoulder.
"Kyyyyaaaaa..."Maya shrieked as she ran with the zombie chasing excitedly(imagination) like a dog chasing a bone tossed in the air. Of course, her perfectly pitched scream also gathered the attention of other people, or at least what was left of them causing her scavenging plan to go not that well right about now.
Well that was how she was led to her current predicament as she barricaded herself inside an apartment that had its door open luckily. A further streak of luck existed that there were no zeds present in the apartment itself other than a mutilated corpse which she had to dispose of in case it started to move somehow. It was still terrifying how there were violent banging on the door as the zombies tried to maul their way in to get her, leaving Maya terrified in the corner of the room. She was lucky to find some dry biscuits in the apartment along with a small supply of fresh water, but now she was too afraid to leave as there may be threats around the corner.
"Someone please save me...please take me away from here." she muttered while chewing on the dry biscuits as tears flowed from her eyes.

Spoiler :
It was the fifth inter-galactic war. A struggle between 4 powerhouses existed and all sides tried to form temporary alliances and betrayals to slowly outwit the other competitors for universal conquest. Many PMCs(private mercenary companies) were hired in the process to aid in skirmishes through out the endless space.
This story revolves around Kookie who was part of the Lotas Mercenary Pte Ltd. Kookie is highly famous or rather infamous in her line as a saboteur to ally operations due to her god-like reactions in clumsiness. She could easily see the best outcome but be unable to achieve it due to her reaction which was far from what she imagined. A toss of a grenade to destroy a core location would fall short and rebound to allied forces. Somehow, she can hold a rifle backwards unnoticingly, press the trigger pin and fire without injuring herself nor enemies but allies instead and many other legends in her epic adventures through out the Zestirum galaxy.
Today was yet another epic fa-adventure as she was the pilot of a Zukar scout ship which crashed into the ally mothership during close quarters combat with another mothership of an enemy force. The only reason why she was forgiven was as she also crashed into the enemy's mothership and became a legend on how a single pilot scout ship managed to single handedly destroy 2 motherships(one allied and enemy omitted) in the midst of a galactic skirmish. She was one to be feared by all allies and enemies alike.
Kookie took off her headgear and sighed dejectedly as she had always tried her best. "Kookie, you can do better next time!" she gave herself some minor encouragement as if to cheer herself up even though she know that it was a hopeless case. Her clumsiness was terminal and it was doctor certified. She then looked into the vastness of space and wondered if there is a place out there for her instead of here.

"Wha?"
"..."
"Hey?"
"Huh?"
"...?"
"Uuuaaa?"
"Hmm?"
"Fuuueee?"
"Awawawa..."
Eight voices resounded out as the eight people realised that they were no longer in there own worlds. In place they noticed themselves in this endless void with nothing but the eight, no, nine of them. There was this enigmatic presence that was before them but they could not discern who or what it was.
"Hello there mortals, you are the eight lucky people whom I have drawn from many to give a chance at a new life. You don't like your current lives? Then let us switch!" the enigmatic figure said in some funny mosaic voice, leaving everyone present dumbfounded.
"Well I don't take cancellations nor refunds at this point, so have fun?"
And in a blink of a moment, eight people became eight very different people.
