Let's start with some basic info my name is Jay Smith, I'm 17 born on the 20th April 2220, In my 11th year of high school, I have some friends which I think is a good amount, am not popular that's ok and don't have a girlfriend (I wish I did) and did I tell you my parents died two weeks ago yeah not something I wanted to experience in high school. By the way, it's New Year's Eve and there's school on, what sort of place is this well all I can say to that is the world went to shit in between the time of 2100 and 2200 nothing being damaged besides population numbers and that sort of thing but it was at the end of 2200 that made people unhappy because someone had the bright idea after making a world government made up of representatives from each continent (Europe, North and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and Antarctica) that the younger generations were stupid and passed a law for the entire world that each school has the chose whether or not students have to come to school on Christmas that year and if you can't tell already I talk to myself like someone can hear me but anyway let's get into what I'm doing right now sitting at a desk in a classroom waiting to go home and sort out my parents will.

Currently, ms march my year's math teacher is going on about what I think is algebra I don't know I haven't been listening. As I'm thinking this another student starts to whine.

"Ms March cant we just not do anything else for the rest of class we have like 10 minutes left" some student in the back row.

"We really should keep going but what the heck do what you want for the next ten minutes" Ms March

"Yes!" 99% of the students.

Ms March takes a seat down at her desk at the front of the room and starts doing something on her laptop while the students get out of their chairs and move them around to talk with their friends or play on their phones with a couple going to flirt with Ms March can't blame those that try she is a gorgeous woman but I don't think she's interested in someone she teaches. But she does seem to be ignoring the flirting hmm.

"Jay do you want to come over to play some Monster Gacha?" Kendall

"Cant have to go sort out the stuff with my parent's will"

"Damn that sucks well hope it goes ok" 

"yeah so do I"

As Kendall goes back to talking with are other friends Den and Christian.

I sigh and start thinking about how two weeks ago I saw my parents like any other morning went to school and when I got home police were waiting at the gate and asked me if they could come in, I said ok wondering why after they got in the house and sat down I asked them if I could get them anything and that my parents should be home soon the police told me that's why they're here and asked me to sit down for what they have to tell me. the police told me that my parents both died in a car accident sometime a few hours ago and asked me if they had a will which I told them they do but they gave copies to some friends I don't know who personally but mom told me when they die I'm to go and call the first name that I see in her gold diary book. So I showed them, moms, gold book which they took note of some of the names and phone numbers from it and handed it back to me, saying thank you for allowing them to see that and that they'd call Mia Talon and inform her that they will be needing her to send them a copy of the will and that I need to talk to her asap. With that said they got up and left leaving me to think about what I've just been told.

I cried myself to sleep that night. Anyway, in the morning I got up from bed having slept in the clothes I wor yesterday to school. Had a shower, made myself some toast as a was sitting down eating the home phone started ringing so I went to answer it while still chewing the rest of the toast I made.

"Hello"

"Hello can I speak to Jay Smith"

"Speaking whos this?"

"Oh, my I'm sorry my name is Mia Talon I'm a friend of your parents and well they asked me and others in the case that they both died that someone come and live with you and the person that was picked was me but I'm currently in Germany on some business and would like to come to meet you in two weeks on new years eve before your parents will is finalised. Is that ok?" Mia

"Well I suppose its fine but I have school on that day so would you be coming by plane or something from Germany?"

"Yes by plane and then limo to your parent's house to pick you up and we'll go to Dan and Jen's local lawyer's company and get the will be sorted out ok?"

"Yup that's fine"

"Awesome see you then!"

"Alright bye"

I hang up the phone and finally take a sigh of relief. When I see the clock on the wall and notice that I may be late if I don't get a move on now so ran and grabbed my phone and ran to school after locking the door to the house and putting the passcode in for the security and electrick gate lock and just getting to my first class of the day being math with less then a minute to spare and so that was the day I got told that my parents had died and that I would be getting a present of someone I've never met living together with me starting Christmas.

Getting back to the present I'm taken out of my memories by everyone else in class crowding around ms March with her looking like she is uncomfortable, looking at the time 4 minutes are left till school ends so I may as well see what the fuss is about. Getting out of my chair passing my friends and walking to the group I ask one of the guys in my class, Denver I think his name is?.

"Hey, Denver whys everyone crowding around ms March?"

"Didn't you hear just now that ms March was on a dating website?"

"Oh no I didn't but whys everyone crowding her about it?"

"Because the guys that flirt with her in class are blowing it out of proportion for her refusing to go on a date with any of them and the girls thought she already had a boyfriend because she is a beautiful and mature woman"

"Well I have had enough of this already"

"What are you gonna do Jay?"

"make them stop harassing her simple"

"Oh"

Walking to the rest of the group I start raising my voice until I get everyone's attention.

"Hey guys"

[students bickering Noize]

"Hey, guys" louder this time.

[students bickering Noize]

"Hey, guys" louder again but ignored.

Ok, now I'm not happy, not angry but more annoyed than anything. Getting a bit closer, squaring my feet and clenching my fists I yelled

"HEY" 

Everyone in the class went dead silent and turned their head to me.

"Why are all of you harassing ms March" one of the girl's steps forward and says.

"We're only here because those guys started harassing her, we only wanted to help"

"Well it looks like you just helped make it a bigger thing"

"And what about the guys" random generic average guy speaks up.

"Um well Douglas was flirting with ms March when he started calling the other guys over to look at her computer"

"and because she wasn't flirting back he thought it was a good idea to see what was on her computer that she was staring at and turns out it was her profile on a dating website?"

"Yeah"

"So your the reason that made ms March unfordable"

"Uh yes?"

"The fuck do you think you are doing harassing a teacher and this teacher imparticular, she has been nothing but nice to everyone in the time she's been here and how do you treat her!"

"Um not good"

"Yeah, that's an understatement" turning my attention to ms March and to ask her if she's okay which she answers with a yes when the principal starts to speak on the speakers saying that everyone can go home now. Which made everyone look at the time and notice that its 1 minute away from 3. 

With that over with, time to go home, walking back to my seat closet frontmost window seat. I pack up my stuff and wait for Ms March to say we can go. Just before ms March says we can go she says.

"Jay can I have a word with you" ms March

"Oh um ok, I hope it's quick cause I need to be somewhere."

"Don't worry it's just me saying thanks for speaking up last minute there, so thanks for doing that"

"No problem ms March"

"If you have a problem come to me, please I have to repay you for doing what you did there"

"It's fine if you don't do anything for me though"

"But I want to repay you somehow"

"Okay, I'll think about it see ya in a week ms March" oh and its Friday so we get 9 days of holidays after Christmas which is normal when we go to school on Christmas.

So I set off to my locker, finding it I have it scan my thumbprint, put in my passcode and unlock it with the key that I have on my necklace. The school has a thing with the security of personnel property being kept in lockers because stuff was stollen years ago or something. anyway after say bye to my friends I run home getting through the gate and front door, down the hallway, I throw my bag onto the marble kitchen tabletop and go up the stairs to my room, mom and dad don't stay in the house a lot but I knew that I was their whole world so to do right by them I should try my hardest for the life they wanted me to have. In my room, I go to my wardrobe and look to find the black suit that mom had me get with the black tie and shoes that dad had chosen for me only a few months ago. Looking at what I'm going to wear, let's get this over with, a few minutes later I'm dressed and having a look at myself in the mirror in the bathroom that is connected to my room, with my blond hair, greenish-blue eyes, (what I think is) a slightly below average face, lean but still sort of athletic body, wearing the suit, tie, and shoes. I think I look alright for having not needed to such things before. After finishing getting dressed and everything I go downstairs to the kitchen to make something to drink, looking through the cupboards I find my favourite brand of hot chocolate Cadbury, once I've made it I sat down to watch some tv. Halfway through the hot chocolate, the phone rings so I put my drink on the coffee table and got up to get the phone.

"Hello"

"Hi Jay I called to let you know that I'm waiting in the car in front of the gate out front"

"Okay I'll be out in a minute"

"Alright see you then" she hung up.

I put the phone back on the wall and walked back through the dining room into the loungeroom to get my hot chocolate, picking it up then walking back to the kitchen I dump the rest of the drink into the sink and wash out the cup. Get the house keys, my phone and some other stuff from out of my school bag, walk to the front door check the security and out I go after locking the door, walking down the driveway to the gate to put the passcode in to open it I see a black limo parked just beside it.
