I'm working on outlining the novel right now so this is going to be a placeholder chapter until I actually have it outlined and drafted to my liking. I love to entertain people with the stories that I write and that's going to be my ultimate goal in writing this. I hope that once I have completed the first hundred chapters the first story arc will be to your liking. Some of my inspiration for writing this work of fiction are classic fairy tales and dark fantasy. I'm hoping to give this a rather timeless feel once I'm done with it like those stories you've heard of in legend.

I'm hoping for this to be the first work in my "Beast King Saga" metaseries in which I explore various anthropomorphic animal racial and skill classes as this has always been something that has interested me. All of the novels will take place in separate eras and the beast kings will always be the heroes of the downtrodden. I've found at the time of my writing this that there weren't many monster reincarnation portal fantasy litrpgs and it's something that really interests and excites me, the potential of anthro characters in fiction.

With that said I'm hoping this isn't solely furry fiction and hope that it'll find a wide appeal in the worlds of isekai and litrpg. I'm hoping this will be heroic fantasy with a dark fantasy slant. Somethings that inspire me are the novels Malazan Book of the Fallen and The Black Company and in litrpg specifically Jez Caijiao's underverse series and the Viridian Gate archives. I'm hoping that when I eventually get around to writing this that I can bring to it a dark sense of wonder in the horrors of the novel as well as a sense of fun.

With Absolute Monarch of the Wasteland in particular I'm hoping to evoke the sense of adventure of the dragonlance series as well as some of the brutal fights of the claymore or berserk series. I'm a huge manga fan but I'm hoping to write this more in the style of western dark fantasy/science fantasy and I really hope that I'll be able to deliver on this promise to you. I'm a huge fan of fighting games and beat em' ups so Nemea himself was inspired by King Leo from Warzard and I hope that when I eventually do write this I end up doing my inspirations justice.

Finally, about the volume of the first hundred chapters themselves, they are going to detail everything leading up to Nemea's transformation and his first adventures within the wasteland itself his awakening and his meeting with the devious clan of the rat. A clan of wererats who were once loyal to the royal family of Aeternum before they were overtaken with the beastman curse as well as a meeting and final battle with one of the demon armies generals whom may require the combined might of both the Legendary Werelion King and the quick and nimble Wererat king to defeat.

I'll be working on this for a long time once the first arc is done being outlined and I hope that if you end up enjoying it that you stay to see what the rest of the webnovel and metaseries have in store.

Please don’t get your hopes up too high this is going to be my first work so if you do I’ll likely disappoint you. I will however try my best. My goal above all else is to tell a good story.

Update: Hey sorry I broke my ankle by attempting the air walk no jutsu off a freaking flight of stairs which I thought was definitely a good idea which couldn’t bite me in the ass later… Sarcasm aside I misstepped and directly fell of a flight of stairs and onto my ankle which is broken and needed surgery to try and repair. I am in constant pain which has been a huge distraction from writing so I won’t actually have anything tangible for quite a while. Sorry for the disappointment.
