Chapter 1: The Introduction

Chapter 1: The Introduction

Eric had just woken up from a long nap. He had to be ready for the big baseball game. Eric was  16 years old. He was 6 feet tall with brown eyes, sharp features and short hair as dark as the night sky. He was waiting for his friend to call him at 7:30 in the evening so they could go to the baseball stadium. In the meantime, he started to read a book on his kindle. His one and only friend, Robert was only 5,10 feet, had blond, curly hair, and was also 16 years old with sharp features, was practicing baseball in his yard. Around 10 minutes passed until Robert called him. “Shit” said Eric who was in the middle of a chapter. He picked up his apple, put his kindle in his back pocket and ran to Robert's house.

When Eric got to Robert’s house he saw Robert sitting on the ground, reading a book. “There you are, Mister Slowpoke!” Said Robert. A chuckle came from Eric’s mouth. “Come on, let's go.” He answered. They ran to the stadium at a fast pace, they saw a hooded person with black robes saying something but didn't think twice about it. They could see the stadium when something happened. Everything turned dark, like a movie. They floated in the nothingness, no sound, no objects to be felt and nothing to see but black. Eric tried to shout but nothing happened, the sound lost in the nothingness without a trace. He could see Robert which made a sigh of relief come out of his mouth, his best friend was with him. Soon a monotone voice entered his brain saying one word, one word that would change his life forever, the word “Teleporting.”

After the voice came a tingling sensation in all his body, soon erupting into excruciating pain. He felt as if his body was being torn apart like a piece of paper. Soon, it stopped and he saw a world forming around him and his best friend. Then, he fell to the ground. He saw his best friend sleeping on the ground. Eric said shit, not just any shit but a particularly long and annoying shit to distract himself from the bullshit at hand. Soon after, he woke up Robert. '”What the shit just happened?!” he said and got up. “I dont fucking know!” was the answer. Eric took his kindle out of his pocket and went to the start of a book. “HA HA!” Eric said. “It says here that shelter is the most important thing when stuck in the wilderness!” Robert pointed to a lot of little houses on the top of a far away hill. “There is a town over there! Let's go!” And they stormed off.
