~~In the Prime Minister's house~~~

"It seems as though everything is going as planned father" Violet said. She was sitting casually on her seat as her father was grinning with an evil glint in his eyes.

"Yes, soon we will be able overthrow the king and take over, but first we have to get rid of that annoying prince."

"Hasn't it already been done? Now that he's been banished and without most of of his powers and memories, he should pose little threat to us." She smirked and twirled her hair as she saw the guards and maids holding all sorts of limiters.

The prime minister squinted his eyes and was no longer smiling. "Insolent girl, just because he seems powerless doesn't mean he will not break free from his enchantment. Furthermore, the king is already on to us. We mustn't be careless."

Violet lowered her head and apologized. "I'm sorry father, but why would he be suspicious? You've been friends with the king for about 30 years."

Her father sighed and responded "Enough, this conversation is over. For now the king has informed me that the banishment of Prince Lynn Aurelius is a secret. Only spread this news to the guards and maids who were peeping in on the conversation." Violet nodded and quickly exited her abode.

~~~In the private chambers in the castle~~~

The King stared at the sleeping face of his son and he felt somewhat regretful for doing what he was about to do. His son's words kept echoing in his mind, but he just couldn't help think of the prime minister, his long time friend to be a traitor. He was too furious to think about what he said at the time and ended up not only sealing a majority of his power, but most of his memories. He rubbed his temples and spoke to his maid, "Bring me the limiters."

The maid nodded and handed him the silver earring and chain necklace. As he approached his Lynn's side, an explosive force bombarded him. His face was full of shock. He countered his sons force with his own and successfully clasped the earring and necklace onto his son before chanting in words of power, "Bind his mind, bind his power khyazgaarlakh"

A bright light enveloped the room and once it disappeared, Lynn who was atop his bed, no longer looked quite the same. His hair took on a medium shade of brown and his skin was slightly tanner. His eyes however, stayed the same. 

The queen rushed into the room and gazed at her son. In truth, the idea of changing his look was Lynn's idea. Although Lynn was a somewhat serious child, he would not go to the lower lands for anything meeting related and was quite reluctant to let others see him so not many people actually knew what he looked like, but the ones who did, always caused him the most trouble.

"You think he will be okay by himself dear? What if he get into to trouble and nobody will be there to help him? What if he's bullied in school? What if..." Her words were stopped by the king and he simply smiled at her.

"Don't worry, its not as if I left him with nothing. The limiters are simply temporary, he'll break out of it eventually.  I just want him to learn a bit, without all of his knowledge and powers. Think of it as also a lesson." The king responded to her and she bit her lip as she left the room.

"Ill go prepare his home and enrollment." The queen stepped into a carriage that was waiting for her and she sped of to the lower lands.

~~~In the lower lands~~~

The queen got off her carriage and examined the school Lynn was going to attend. The school was enormous and was splendidly ornamented. She walked toward the gate and remembered to disguise herself first before facing the guard.

"No visitors are permitted to enter this school at this hour. If you wish to meet the headmaster, come back tomorrow." The guard spoke in a loud voice. He was a young man who looked to be in his mid 20s and was dutifully doing his job.

The queen smiled at him and gave him an enveloped. "Then may you please give this letter to the headmaster and tell him its from Lorayne." 

The guard looked unsure until he finally ran into the building and in a couple minutes, a middle aged looking man with a short white beard and an exquisite black robe came running toward her at a quick pace. 

"Lorayne, what are you doing here. I haven't seen you in ages." The man grinned at the woman in front of him and she smiled back. 

"Elder brother, I have missed you. I came to discuss some important matters with you." 

He nodded his head and began leading her to his office. The guard had a clueless look on his face and resumed his position until he finally realized something. "Wait, elder brother!?!?!?!"  

~~~5 hours later~~~

He woke up from a very large headache and he stretched his arms while examining his surroundings. 'Where am I'.

The room was rather large and beside him was a window. Moonlight was shining through the open window and a slight breeze brushed past his face. He suddenly felt a small paper underneath his hand.

- Name: Darren Suwa

- Age: 17

- Magic: Fire and dark

- School: Maegis Academy

On the back of the piece of paper, there was a little note.

Dear Darren, I know you will have some trouble when you wake up, but don't worry, just go to the headmaster in the morning when you go to school and he will help you, otherwise me and your mother will watch over you. Make sure to look at the map I have for you and make sure to wear the glasses in the box located near your bed and never take them off in front of anyone at any time except with the headmaster. The glasses does not affect how you see or any of the sort though if your curious, look in the mirror with the glasses on. Extra tip, the glasses can't break or get scratched if you were to scrape them or drop them. Also, don't mind the earring and necklace. They will not come off or break easily. Sincerely your Father.

He tilted his head to the side, trying to comprehend the contents of the letter. He looked to the side and saw a box that had the word, open. He did as it said and his eyes widened at the sight of what he saw. There was about 50 pairs of glasses and when he touched one, he felt like he was shocked. He touched it again, bringing it to his face and he moved toward the bathroom.

He peered into the mirror and he stared at his face. His eyes were brown, but when he took them off, he saw gold. He repeated his actions for 1 minute before he got tired and sighed. 'What the heck is going on.'

Hi :3... This part is just for me to kind of tell anyone who happens to actually read this that everything you just read is by an inexperienced and new writer (me!!). This is the first time I've ever done something like this and I thought it'd be fun, but I'm just gonna tell you this right now, there will be plenty of parts that have mistakes and make no sense and I will try to change it. I welcome all criticisms and questions as well as pretty much anything. Feel free to give me some advice. I learned most of how to do this type of writing by reading the 10+ light novels and other royalroadl fictions that I've been balancing and trying to not be attracted to other light novels and the like. I've already saved up another 10+ light novels to read on my phone after I'm done reading the ones I'm reading now and I also have a bunch that I stopped reading for a while that I kept on hold.
