Batman sped through the city, the Batmobile's engine revving like a caged beast. His heart pounded in his chest, his mind racing with the possibilities of what the Penguin might do to Alfred. He had to stop him before
---
The Black Cat watched Batman speed past, his car disappearing into the darkness. She knew the Penguin had escaped, and she knew he had a plan. It seemed obvious that he was trying to lure Batman away from his secret lair.
But what did that mean? Where would the Penguin be hiding?
She followed in her car, her eyes fixed on the Batmobile's taillights. Her gut told her that this was where she needed to be. She didn't know why, but she knew.
---
When Batman arrived at the warehouse, he could already smell the smoke. The fire was spreading fast, eating its way through the wooden walls like a ravenous beast. He jumped out of the car, his heart hammering in his chest.
"Alfred!" he screamed. There was no answer, just the crackling of flames. Batman ran inside, his eyes searching frantically through the smoke. He couldn't find his friend anywhere.
Suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him. It was the Penguin, his umbrella clutched in his hand. "Well, well," he sneered. "Here you are."
Batman's eyes narrowed. "Give me Alfred, now," he snarled.
The Penguin laughed. "Oh, no," he said. "Not just yet." He raised his umbrella, firing a shot from the tip. Batman ducked just in time, the bullet missing his head by mere inches.
The two of them circled each other, their movements mirrored as they searched for the perfect moment to strike. The Penguin lunged first, his umbrella swinging like a sword. Batman blocked him easily, his hand reaching out to grab the weapon.
But just as he thought he had won, a shot rang out. Selina fell to her knees, clutching at her side as blood dripped from her mouth. The Penguin's eyes darted to her, a sneer spreading across his face.
"Well, look what we have here," he said. Batman lunged at him, but it was too late.
The Penguin had already fired again. Selina's body slumped to the ground as Batman caught her in his arms.
"Selina," he whispered. He could see her breathing slowing, her chest barely moving. He held her close to him, tears falling from his eyes.
And then it was over. Selina's life faded away, leaving Batman with nothing but her dead body. He looked up, his eyes burning with rage. The Penguin was gone, as were any signs of Alfred. The warehouse was empty, the flames crackling hungrily around them.
---
The sun was setting as Batman carried Selina's body back to the Batcave. He laid her on the table, his hands cradling her lifeless form. He couldn't believe what had just happened.
But there was no time to mourn. He had a job to do, and that meant finding Alfred.
That's when Selena woke up , her body wriggling on the table.
---
"Oh my god," Batman whispered, his tears still falling from his eyes. Selena reached up with one hand, cupping his cheek.
"I'm sorry," she said.
Batman shook his head. "No," he said. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I should have gotten to you faster."
Selena nodded. "Maybe," she whispered. Batman looked down at her, his gaze following the curve of her neck and her chest. He couldn't resist, not anymore. He leaned down and kissed her, their lips moving together in a slow, sensual dance.

Selena moaned as he pulled away. "What about Alfred?" she asked.
"I have to go find him," Batman said. "The Penguin will pay for what he's done."
Selena sat up. "Then I'll come with you," she said, her voice determined.
Batman nodded, his eyes softening. "Together," he agreed.
And with that, the Dark Knight and the Black Cat set off to find Alfred. They would follow the Penguin to the ends of the Earth if it meant saving him.
---
But as they sped through the night, Selina's car trailing behind the Batmobile, Selena couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The Penguin had seemed too confident, had acted like he had already won. Why? What was his secret? And how did it involve Alfred?
She was about to tell Batman about it when he slammed on the brakes, the car skidding to a halt. Selina peered out of the window, her eyes narrowing as she took in their location. They were in the middle of the city, but there was nothing here. Just a big, empty space.
"What is this place?" she asked Batman.
He shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "But the Penguin's here. I can feel him."
Selena looked around again, her senses on high alert. She could see nothing, no sign of any life or movement. And yet, something was nagging at her. She stepped out of the car and walked over to where Batman was standing.
"Batman," she said softly. He turned to her, his eyes questioning. "Do you trust me?"
Batman nodded. "Of course," he said.
Selena stepped closer to him, her hand reaching up to cup his face. Batman froze, his body tense. "What are you doing?" he growled.
Selena smiled, her eyes glinting in the dark. "Getting to know you," she said. And with that, she kissed him.
Batman resisted at first, but Selena could feel his tension melting as she pressed herself against him. She pushed him back against the car, her tongue sliding between his lips as they kissed. His hands moved to wrap around her body, holding her close as their mouths moved together.
"Selena," Batman groaned as she broke away. "Why are you doing this?"
Selena laughed. "Because I want to," she said. She leaned up again, her lips brushing against his ear. "And because we're not alone."
Batman's head jerked up, his eyes scanning the area. Selina could see the realization on his face, the moment when he understood. The Penguin was behind them, and he had Alfred with him.
"Good evening, Batman," he sneered, his eyes glinting. "I've been waiting for you." He held Alfred up in front of him, the old man looking dazed. Selena gasped, her heart pounding in her chest.
"Let him go, Penguin," Batman snarled, his fists tight by his side.
The Penguin laughed, his expression twisted. "No," he chuckled. "He's not going anywhere." And with that, he pulled the trigger on his umbrella.
Batman lunged to get in front of him, but he knew it was too late. The bullet sped straight and true, its path unstoppable. It was only a matter of time before it hit its mark.
---
And then, just as it was about to happen, Selena leapt to the side. Batman felt her body moving next to his, felt the bullet graze her arm. But he didn't have time to react. The Penguin was already turning to leave.
"Not yet," he grinned. "We're just getting started." And with that, they were gone, disappearing into the night like they'd never been there at all.
---
Batman caught Selena as she fell, his arms holding her close. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice hoarse with emotion. Selena nodded, her eyes softening as she looked at him. The bullet had barely missed her, but she was okay. They both were.
Except for Alfred. Batman's heart burned with the need for revenge.
The Penguin would pay for what he'd done.
---
They waited at the Batcave, their eyes scanning the streets below them. The Penguin would be coming back, and they would be ready.
It wasn't long before they spotted the car. The headlights were moving towards them, their beams cutting through the night like a knife. Batman and Selena exchanged a glance. It was time to act.
Batman watched from the rooftop as the Penguin parked his car outside of the Batcave. Selena had already left to make sure he didn't escape. Batman could see Alfred slumped in the passenger seat, his body limp. He had been drugged. The Penguin got out and dragged him by the arm, holding him in front of him as he moved towards the entrance.
"You're too late," the Penguin sneered as Batman leapt down from the rooftop. "My men have already taken your secret lair."
Batman smiled. "They're not your men," he said.
The Penguin frowned. "What do you mean?" he asked.
Batman gestured to the side, where Selena was emerging from the shadows. "You should have picked better accomplices," he chuckled. Selena's eyes gleamed with triumph as she moved closer, the Penguin's men slumped unconscious at her feet.
"You fools," the Penguin growled. He turned to Batman, his eyes furious. "This isn't over."
"No," Batman agreed. "It's just starting. You're going to pay for everything you've done." And with that, Selena and Batman attacked, their blows ringing out as they took down the Penguin and his men.
When it was all over, Batman and Selena stood panting as they surveyed their work. The Penguin and his henchmen lay unconscious at their feet. Alfred was still drugged, but unharmed. They had won.
And yet, as Batman looked over at Selena, he could see the fire in her eyes. The game was far from over, and he knew she would be back for him. But he was ready. He was the Dark Knight, and she was the Black Cat. Together, they would fight to protect Gotham.
And their desire would never fade. The game had just begun
