So, obviously I have been missing in action for a bit. Sorting out where I should be in posting will take me a day or so, but should be back to correct by the today or tomorrow. The short version is that I had a series of problems at my house that led to me being unavailable to do anything for much longer than is acceptable. For the long version, read on.
It started with heavy snows that melted and led to me discovering my roof leaking. Then there was a flood from the heavy rains combined with snow melt overflowing the rivers. Got back into the house and then next day a pipe sprung a leak, but didn't have a shut off valve, so I had to shut off my main water valve and move my family into a hotel while it was fixed. Now half my house has the walls torn open, and a dozen fans blasting away to dry everything out. All of this happened while I was simultaneously beginning a new job that started so early I needed to adjust my sleep schedule to awaken at 2 AM, an hour I am more used to seeing from the other side. Add in a number of people at my new job getting covid and causing a bit of a scare (and my family possibly having it now), several doctors appointments (still not done with those, but they are just the new to the area type not "you've been diagnosed with impending death"), my mother in law leaving, my sister in law accidentally taking the charger for my computer instead of hers (she doesn't live nearby), and a host of other oddities combined to make this a rather trying time. All in all, January sucked.

I intend to post a number of chapters to make up for most of the missing time, so be on the lookout for those in the coming days. I also hope to actually stick to the schedule I said I would before all of this chaos happened.
My apologies for my absence.
