When Jedah was young, he thought that his life's path was set. A mage capable of healing, he'd trained for the Priesthood and wanted nothing more than to spend his days helping and healing people body and soul. But a promise made and his unwillingness to let his brother die had him make a pact with a Demon Lord, and set Jedah on the path to becoming anathema to his training: an assassin. Today, he purports to be a corporate businessman, a financial analyst. But he's fake, and he knows it. The laughter and the love of life is nothing more than a façade shielding those he exists with from the truth: He's the corporate thug who goes out and takes care of Problems. Even as he finds himself doing things that he'd rather not, he tries to offset these deeds by doing good. He donates to charities, assists Interpol on cases where mages are involved, and once in a while he helps out the Charleston Police Department. It’s all very complicated, and certainly not helped by his girlfriend moving out, his estranged family turning up in Charleston, and a missing persons case that hits entirely too close to home…
