"You're such an idiot," She laughed.
I chuckle at her reaction. I haven't felt this calm in a while. We laid next to eachother on top of some bean bags, talking about nothing. We had a good view of the outside world. The sun was shining, the leaves of the trees rustled, and the squirrels were running about.
"Look at that fat one," I pointed.
"C h o n k y," she replied.
We laughed once more as it was such a silly response. Then it struck me. What did she look like again? I have a faint memory of her face, but nothing concrete. I've always had a horrible memory. However, I was too embarassed to ask so I just looked at the back of her head instead, as she looked to the outside.
"So what's up? Do anything new lately?" She asked.
That's odd. I don't remember her character being like this before. I always thought of her as the shy type, someone who wouldn't initiate conversation. It's a nice surprise as we often hung out in silence.
"Helloooooo...? I asked you a question"

"Ah! Sorry, I was lost in thought," I apologized, "Nah, same old shit."
"Cool," she replied.
She turned her head to respond but I couldn't look her in the eyes. I wonder why. I was fixated on her lips. They were full and pink. She had a slender frame and dressed in black. Honestly, she was the most beautiful person that I have ever seen.
"How about you?"
"hOw aBOuT YoU?" she said, mockingly.
"Fuck off"
She laughed, "I've been trying to get back into writing songs again"
"Oh shit, do you have them with you?" I inquired.
She shook her head no and her lips broke out into a closed smile. Suddenly, I felt compelled to look above that smile, into her eyes. They were full of joy. I haven't seen that since that time we kissed. Since that time we kissed. My thought was interrupted and soon forgotten by her trying to get my attention.
"Hey! Stop leaving me!" She hollered
"Ah, sorry again!" I sighed, "What did you say?"
She shook her head with disappointment, "I said, that you should probably text me if you want to see my songs"
I was confused, "So they're at home?"
"No, they're with me,"
"Uh... okay..." I was very confused, "Can I see them?"
"Not with me, idiot" She sighed, "with me."
I felt a sinking feeling in my gut. A realization forced me to understand where I am.
I looked away from her and faced the wall. I felt my voice shake as I asked, already knowing the answer, "you know that you're a dream, right?"
She smiled at me with a touch of sadness in her eyes.
My eyes shot open and I felt teardrops, rolling down the side of my head.
"Why am I crying?" I asked
I forget
