“Gray! Gray! COME ON GRAY! Get Down here right now!” My mom yelled up the stairs. I made an effort to get out of bed and started towards my door.

School ends next month, it’s almost summer. I’ve been long awaiting summer break because I’ll be able to chill out and sleep in bed till 1:30 without consequence, but now is not the time. I forced myself out of my room, down the narrow hallway stairs, and past my dad glued to the living room television.

Mom was in the kitchen making lunches for tomorrow's school. My little sister Vinnie and lil bro Raziel go to the same school where I usually pick them up when I don’t have school. I brushed past her to grab the cereal and then got some milk from the fridge.

“Gray you are going to go and pick up your siblings today at 2:30. Don’t be late and don’t do anything stupid, we are all under the eyes of the lord.”

“Damn it’s already 1:50? I guess time flies when you're bored out of your mind.”

“Gray!”

“Okay okay mom, I’m going…”

I got up, put on my favorite black hoodie, and grabbed the car keys as I walked through the door. Vinnie’s school is about 25 minutes away so I gotta get a show on the road. I got in mom’s car and started the trip to Golden Peak Elementary.

I don’t know what I would do without music, drives like this would be torture without something to listen to. Getting your way up the last steep hill to get to Golden Peak Elementary, the school Vinnie and Raziel attend is creepy because there is no railing on the sides, and it is certain death if you were to slip off the road. The cool thing is, you could see the whole city from where you were.

I arrived a few minutes late but still before 2:30. Soon after I arrived the bell rang and kids started to flow out into the waiting room to find their parents. Vinnie came right to me and Raz lacked behind a bit.

“Hey Gray, guess what we did today!” An excited Vinnie questioned.

“What’d ya do?”

“We made volcanoes with cool foam!”

“Wow that’s so cool!” I said trying my hardest to be enthusiastic.

Raz came up to me with a friend as fast as he could to ask me exactly what I knew he would say.

“Can I stay over at Ryan’s house today?”

“Yeah you can. Mom will probably get mad at me though.”

“Thanks!” And with that Raziel ran off to Ryan’s dad.

Vinnie and I got in the car and began to drive back home. We had just begun our descent of the mountainous hill when the sun blocker above me cracked open the slightest bit. It was weird how it could move without wind from the outside so I took a glance at it to see what happened. At that moment, a spider fell onto my eyebrow. I had arachnophobia and freaked out slapping my face to try and kill it. I felt it scurry towards my eye and closed both eyelids in reaction while finally hitting the damned hellion.

The car was out of control and I tried to put both hands back on the wheel and slam the breaks to no avail. The car swerved off the narrow road and off of the cliff. Why did this happen was all I could think before grabbing onto Vinnie in hopes that at least she could live. But I knew that those hopes were for naught. 15 seconds, and I was dead.

“Welcome heroes! I am the Terra Goddess of Terrim”

I opened my eyes to find myself in a castle-like king's bedroom. The decor was magnificent as if everything just belonged where it was and the bed had open privacy drapes. The self-proclaimed Goddess Terra was standing in front of me and three other teenagers to give her lecture. There were two guys, one Japanese and one English, and two girls. A Chinese and an American girl. Including me, there were two Americans in this place.

“As you may have known... You all died. That was partially my doing... but the cause of the matter is of great importance.” Terra continued on. If Terra said that our deaths were her doing, that means that she caused my sister's death!

This bitch! She killed my sister just because she can't manage her own problems, and now she has the audacity to ask for my help?

“The demons have risen to a power great enough to threaten the human kingdoms in my world, and these humans also fight amongst themselves. I’m disappointed to say the least, but they need your help to stop the dem-”

“No. No, I am not going to help you,” I said with unwavering conviction.

“Gray is it? Well that doesn’t matter anyways. Why?” She said in a dismissive manner.

“My sister, she was with me when you killed me. A car accident that you started killed my little sister!”

“An automobile crash… So you crashed the car?”

“Yes, because of what you had done to me the car crashed and my sis-”

“Yes, because of your reckless behavior, you crashed the car and your little sister died. Now let me finish.”

This self-righteous son of a bitch just blamed Vinnie’s death on me? This can’t be happening. This isn’t happening.

“... Well now you know what to do. You all will be divided between the kingdoms and receive powers directly from me.” When Terra finished speaking, the Japanese guy turned to the Chinese girl and spoke something in Japanese that I could somehow understand.

“Wow is this Isekai? this is exciting! … I’m Hiro Nakama 16 years old, what’s your name?” Hiro asked the girl.

“Mei Yin Lee. That’s all your getting from me you fucking Otaku, now shut up.” Mei Yin Lee snapped back.

Just after mei finished her sentence everyone disappeared in a glowing white light. Everyone except for me and Terra.

“Apologize.” Terra addressed me calmly.

“Apologize for what? You sick fuck.”

“Get on your knees and grovel before me for interrupting my speech you filthy human. If you beg properly I might just spare your life.”

“Good luck killing another innocent person to find a hero then.” Annoyed at her behavior I would not let this end without a fight.

“No need, I only needed three heroes in the first place, not five. Plus you're not innocent…” Upon finishing her final words she broke into a twisted smile.

“You killed your sister after all! AH HA HA HA HA HAAAAH!!” She burst out laughing and even held her stomach up with her arms upon finishing her sentence.

This woman knows no bounds, I gotta teach her a lesson. After thinking that I took two sprinting steps to close the distance and threw my fist at her obnoxiously laughing face with the momentum. My fist hit her and knocked her back in the slightest. She was unnaturally hard to the point where three of my fingers broke upon impact. My punch had only worked to anger her and shut her up.

Terra was silent for a few seconds while touching her face then slowly looked up to me with a mortified expression.

“Y-YOU RUINED MY MAKEUP!! YOU MISERABLE INSECT!” She shouted and waved her hand to the right. My body flew to the right wall and made a small dent in the concrete.

“I WAS GOING EASY ON YOU! Oh ho ho hohhh. You’re really going to get it now. You’re already dead in the other world and now you’re going to wish to be wishing for death here too. You're less than a demon to me so have fun living with them. Or should I say… Under them” With that said, she snapped her fingers and I blacked out.

As I came to my senses again I heard a language I’ve never heard before that was as clear as my native tongue.

“Hmm, a Draco… How exceedingly rare. Although it is a waste he will make an outstanding battleslave. I predict he may last an entire four weeks!”
