The ever-present stars and moons of the eternal nebula reined high in the sky and over the castle of The Dark Lord, and within his castle Zalrotho The God of Ruin resided upon his throne as he rested his eyes. Zalrotho slowly opened one of his completely grey eyes before a pale silver dot at the centre of his eye with multiple pale silver concentric rings appeared on his eye. The dot and rings swiftly faded away, and Zalrotho exhaled in discontent.
"I sense a disturbance; it's almost like at any moment I'll end up like those otherworlders those people in the capital summon," Zalrotho remarked as he closed his open eye and right as he did her heard a small bell ding.
Suddenly Zalrotho felt the coldness of his stone throne disappear before a colder surge of wind blew up past him and blew through his hair and countlessly changing in number of tails. Zalrotho opened his eyes and was imminently blinded by the unfamiliarly blue sky. Zalrotho squinted his eyes and slowly but surely etched them more and more open until they were fully open. Zalrotho took one look around and instantly noted he was falling through the sky with his five dress-long shields trailing after him.
"Never thought I'd be on the receiving end of one of these," Zalrotho uttered as he gazed down to see a modern-day city below.
"How odd... that looks like just like the kind of location most otherworlders state they hail from... but why do I sense some sort of magical energy?". Zalrotho mused and mulled over a few possibilities before concluding he won't figure out anything unless he checks out the city. Zalrotho snapped his fingers, and a rainbow-coloured sun-shaped portal formed below him. Zalrotho and his shields plummeted into the portal before it disappeared.
Zalrotho landed on an unoccupied concrete path, and his portal closed behind him. Zalrotho glanced around at the Japanese-style architecture and even a few signs with kanji on them. Zalrotho's eyes flickered to their active state (where his eyes have pale a silver dot at the centre and multiple pale silver concentric rings) before they reverted to their inactive state.
"I see, so I'm in some version of Japan... although I sense something's up...," Zalrotho uttered before he glanced towards you and smirked.
"You thought I was about to spoil what was going on, but given you've read the synopsis, I'm sure you can make a guess," Zalrotho remarked before he strolled onwards. Zalroth pressed his hand against his chin as he mulled over something which was bothering him.
"But despite having these eyes, I'm still unable to figure out why I'm here... which means higher forces are at play here," Zalrotho uttered as he walked in front of a candy store.

"Hey, you! Kitsune with the weird eyes!" A female voice called out. Zalrotho raised his head from his hand and glanced towards the candy shop to see Ilulu waving at him.
"Don't just stand there. Get in here before someone sees you!" Ilulu said as loudly as she could without straight-up shouting. Zalrotho rolled his eyes, although you wouldn't be able to tell, and strolled into the candy store after ducking down to avoid banging his head. Zalrotho only managed to take two steps into the candy store before he felt his tails touching both sides of the door frame.
Zalrotho sighed and retracted his tails and kitsune ears. Zalroth made his way through the small candy store until he arrive at the till counter where Ilulu was sitting at.
"Geez, you're even taller up close," Ilulu muttered.
"So, what did you want to say?" Zalrotho asked calmly and slightly coldly.
"Well, I was going to tell you you can't just go walking around with your non-human features out but you already retracted them. So, I don't have anything to say other than you shouldn't have them out in public," Ilulu stated boldly.
"So, this is one of those: the public are out of the know on the hidden magical world?" Zalrotho asked, to which Ilulu nodded her head.
"Yep. But I gotta ask, why would a kitsune come to the human world?".
"Trust me; it wasn't by choice,". Ilulu was slightly surprised to hear Zalrotho saying he wasn't here by choice.
"Oh... if that's the case, I'm sure me or my friend Tohru could create a portal for you to go back," Ilulu offered.
"I appreciate the offer to help, but I am from a completely different world to you, so I doubt you'd be able to send me back," Zalrotho stated. Ilulu looked perplexed by Zalrotho's statement and rubbed her head.
"You sure?".
"Do you know of any places where it's eternally nighttime with a nebula constantly in the sky?" Zalrotho asked, to which Ilulu shook her head defeatedly.
"Does that mean you're stuck here?" Ilulu said.
"Unlikely, I probably need to complete some sort of arbitrary objective to be able to return home or even move on to another world knowing those stories that are similar to my situation," Zalrotho stated.
"I see... well, good luck with that. If you ever need help, I'll be here most of the time," Ilulu said. The two bidded each other farewell before Zalrotho left, leaving Ilulu by herself. Ilulu rested her head against the counter and boredly sighed.
"When's Take going to come back from his errand?" Ilulu whined as she yawned and unintentionally spat up a small ember of flames. Ilulu sighed and rubbed her cheeks as she moaned in frustration. Ilulu gazed out to the empty street outside of the shop, and she thought about how strange Zalrotho's world must be before something clicked in her head. Ilulu shot up from her seat.
"Wait! I forgot to tell that guy he should change into more appropriate clothes.". Ilulu darted her head from side to side to make sure there were no customers in the store.
"It won't hurt to step out for a few seconds, right?". Ilulu quickly ducked under the desk while tossing her work uniform off, and after a split second, she popped back up in her oversized black t-shirt. Ilulu hopped over the counter before her foot got caught on it, and she trip over. She swung straight for the ground, but luckily for Ilulu, her face was cushioned by her melon-sized breasts.
"Can't I ever do that without tripping?" Ilulu muttered as she pushed herself to her feet and hurried after Zalrotho.
