Lola's Dream Delving Plan

Lola's Dream Delving Plan

Zalroth layed on a grassy hill and gazed at the clouds in the sky as Chronia relaxed on Zalroth's tails. Zalroth watched a cat-shaped cloud washed across the sky and contently sighed as he felt the faint breeze brush against his face. Lola rolled past her parents while taunting the other kids they can't catch her as they chased after her. Abigail led the charge after Lola and angrily threw party hats at Lola.

"You can't just roll away that's cheating!" Abi shouted as she reached behind herself and pulled Ninia out from the crowd of kids. Ninia excitedly curled up into a fetal position before Abi hurled her high into the air. Ninia soared through the air like a shuttlecock before rapidly descending and crashing into Lola, while getting a bullseye on Lola's head using her own head.

The two frantically balled up into Lola's tails before barreling down the hill and appearing to be heading straight for a tree. Abi's ears shot up and she was about to slam her hands together before stopping when rose and dark red five-leafed mana clovers appeared around Lola and Ninia. The two slightly bounced on the ground and took a sharp turn before shooting off at a ninety-degree angle away from the tree.

Abi let out a relieved sigh before lightly tapping her palms together and conjuring her dark violet transparent kid girl mannequin spirit with a large cloak, sharp hook-like fingers and blacksmith googles. The spirit glanced over at the rolling away Lola and Ninia before spinning its fingers together and creating thick silk. The mannequin spirit instantly appeared above Lola and Ninia; the spirit sewed the silk together into a large net before casting it in front of the rolling duo and easily catching them mid-bounce. The spirit brought the duo to Abi and the other before lightly dropping them next to Abi, followed by it disappearing.

"Alright, I think we should find a less injury-prone game," Abi recommended as she picked Lola and Ninia up. Abi told the others to follow her to the picnic area and as the group walked past Zalroth Chronia endearedly watched them. Chronia rested her head against Zalroth's head and contently exhaled.

"It sure is nice to attend and experience the atmosphere of a birthday party," Chronia mentioned. Zalroth happily scoffed and blew Chronia's hair out of his eyes.

"It sure is... but I can't remember the last time we celebrated our own birthdays," Zalroth remarked, causing Lola, Ninia and Abi's ears to perk up. Chronia chuckled slightly and pressed her face against Zalroth while jokingly saying it's bound to happen when people live as long as they have and also adding that it doesn't help that they can't even remember what date their birthdays were on. Abi, Lola, Ninia, Destiny, Kara, Scarlett and Snow huddled together after making sure they were far enough away from Zalroth and Chronia. The girls whispered amongst themselves as the other kids went on ahead of them to the picnic area.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"Did you hear that?" Scarlett whispered with a shocked tone as the others nodded their heads.

"I know right, I would be devastated if I forgot when my birthday was for such a long period of time," Destiny quietly said while mentioning the longest she forgot hers for was for only six days at most. Destiny glanced over at Kara and asked if she or her book contained any info on Zalroth or Chronia's birthdays. Kara shook her head and sipped on some of her honey soda.

"One does not, the power of the knowledge god only applies to mine other-selves at this current point in time and the knowledge stored in The Chronicles Codex is locked off to one," Kara explained. Lola asked Destiny what she meant by locked and Kara quickly called her purple magical book over. Kara opened the book and flicked through it until she found a particular page. The girls all inspected the double page and looked perplexedly at the magic chains embedded into the page with a padlock in the middle of the double page; Kara poked the padlock and a keyboard made of lavender mana appeared above it.

"A password lock, that explains why you wouldn't be able to gain access to that section," Abi mentioned while the others were putting in random word combinations. Abi shook her head in unsurprised disbelief and as the others continued to type on the keyboards Snow tapped Abi's arm.

"Do you think Mr Zalroth knows the password?" Snow asked. Abi stated it's unlikely since he doesn't even remember the date of his own birthday. Lola's ears perked up and her eyes lit up as an idea popped into her head. Lola quickly gathered the attention of the others and told them she had an idea.

"I could use my azure ability to watch mama and papa's dreams and see if they ever saw one of the previous knowledge gods putting in the password or even if mama or papa just mentioned when their birthdays are," Lola explained, with the other girls nodding as they listened to her speak.

"But... wouldn't they be mad if you just went through their memories," Scarlett asked.

"Of course not, mama and papa said they wouldn't mind if I ever do it," Lola nonchalantly remarked with Abi mentioning they probably meant when Lola does it by accident. Lola rolled her eyes while saying she'll say it was unintentional if they find out. The girls agree that they will do whatever it takes to find out when Zalroth and Chronia's birthdays are and then throw a surprise birthday for them.

Later that night, Zalroth, all the egos/visages(in their baby animal forms), Zalkutaro(in his kitsune cub form) and Chronia were fast asleep on top of the flying airship carrier. Lola and Abi popped their heads out from Zalroth's tails and once they were sure everyone outside the tails was asleep they looked at each other.

"Alright... I'll keep watch while you're doing whatever you do," Abi whispered. Lola nodded her head before turning towards Chronia and her eyes became covered by a glowing pink and golden mist. Lola began to feel dreary as a wave of tiredness washed over her before she completely passed out.
