AWAKENING LUNA: DARKNESS HOLDING THE LIGHT BY MAJIE CHAPTER 29

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

LEWIS “This girl is really…’ I thought before letting out a chuckle. “I have to finish this fast,” I softly

spoke before moving. Although the amusing woman seemingly had complete trust in me, deep inside

me, it seemed that I could not bear to let her wait inside of the barrier for a long time. In this mystical

world where all kinds of powers could be seen, I am confident that in terms of stealth movement, I am

unapparelled. In a split second, I have already travelled tens of kilometers to where the rampaging

prince was. Lady Regina, on the other hand, was standing a couple of feet away from Halen as she

channeled the power of her own wolf to stabilize Halen’s power. Upon the order of Lady Regina, the

royal warriors stood a considerable distance away but did not leave the premises as they looked

worriedly at the siblings. The members of the Silver Wolves Pack were also tens of feet away from

them as they looked with their Alpha who seemed to have turned into complete madness and the

prince who was like a ticking nuclear bomb. Because of the force of Halen’s power, a couple of them

already sustained injury. Unfortunately, their alpha placed a command on their bodies, and they could

not move from where they were.

The Alpha of Silver Woods Pack laughed hysterically like a madman. I narrowed my eyes as my ears

ringed from the noise he was making. Thus, I took out a dagger and sent it in his direction.

In a flash, he dropped down on the ground, dead. Without anyone controlling them, the werewolves

hurriedly ran for safety, only for the royal warriors to apprehend them. ‘No wonder their assassination Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

attempt towards me was successful in Adelia’s visions,’ Lady Regina sent me a mental voice

transmission. ‘I must have used most of my powers to save Halen, only to be assassinated in the end,’

she added. I nodded, agreeing with her conjecture. With the power of Halen and Lady Regina, unless

something unforeseeable like this happened, the chance of them being assassinated was close to

zero. “Thankfully, Adelia came into our lives and saved my bum,’ Lady Regina laughed. ‘Well, since

you are here, I will use everything in my power to save this brother of mine. I will ask you to protect us

later.’

“I will also help,” I told her before a soundless, colorless aura approached Halen. Although it did

nothing to calm his rampaging power, it successfully disintegrated the tyrannical fire surrounding him,

making it easier for the lady’s aura to approach him. Lady Regina nodded before closing her eyes. A

few seconds later, a cool sensation penetrated the surroundings. The havocking aura slowly quieted

down as a majestic green light appeared on the tip of her fingertips. Thereafter, a low howl of a howl

vibrated the area which made all other wolves, including mine, grow solemn. Lady Regina’s aura slowly

penetrated Halen’s forehead. For a while, his red aura intensely

fought with the green aura until it slowly calmed down. After a few minutes of struggling, Halen’s wolf

was completely appeased and went into slumber. “I’ve almost exhausted all the powers of my wolf,”

Lady Regina sighed before wobbling. I reached out a hand and helped her stabilize. “Oh, thank you,”

she told me. “Darn, I wish Halen was awake so he could see you helping me out. He will be so

jealous!” Lady Regina joked. “Just say so if you want to fall on the ground, your highness,” I bluntly told

her, ready to let her go. Fortunately, the captain of the royal warriors arrived and helped the laughing

Lady Regina up. I closed my eyes and focused on my sense imprint. “Seems like the real assassins

found out that I am here and are trying to escape,” I said before disappearing. After a couple of

seconds, I returned while dragging three incapacitated bodies. Except for Lady Regina, everyone’s

eyes went wide at the sight. In just a couple of seconds, I circled the forest area and killed/crippled

numerous assassins before coming back. I knew that they wanted to ask for details. However, at that

moment, my attention was already focused on the barrier hidden beneath the tree. In a flash, I arrived

at the big branch where Lia was. I waved my hand and the barrier immediately disappeared. Right

away, the image of Lia appeared. Our eyes met and suddenly, my heart skipped a beat. Only then did I

realize how worried and uneasy I was. And how when I saw her bright eyes, relief rushed over me. Lia

stared at me for a long time before a frown appeared on her brows and she frowned. “What’s wrong?

Did you get hurt?” She asked, worried was evident in the tone of her voice.

I blinked at Lia and covered my lips with the back of my fingers. The earlier battle was easy with Lady

Regina doing most of the work. Thus, not only was I not hurt, I also barely spent my energy. However, I

contemplated for a while before answering Lia with a weak voice, “No, but … my energy got drained a

bit and I’m feeling quite weak.” Beside us, one of my warriors choked on his spit while another fell on

the tree.
