Inside that deep, dark loneliness, when he got the ability to view the memories of those echoes of the past that had once been alive, he started to dream about being alive himself. He yearned not just to exist but to live, to live a life filled with happiness and loving people, to breathe in the fresh air of the morning, to sleep in mother earth's embrace, to get wet in the rain, and to hug his mother. He did not remember even one moment when he did not dream about having a life.
His dream broke because of sound--no-not merely sound but noises, the noises of people running and shouting. With no understanding of what was transpiring outside, he put himself at ease and let nature take its course. He felt a tender force from above, and with this force, his body began to shift. Not long after shifting little by little, he found a light coming from outside, and the tender force was taking him there, to the outside.

> Samantha Min pov
Samantha knew very well that giving birth to a child was going to be a very painful task.
Being a practitioner of healing arts and also having a trait for this, she saw with her own eyes how women succumb to death while giving birth to a child. She knows very well that even with the help of the best healer in town, there is still a chance that you end up caught up in complications. This kind of incident made her afraid enough that she decided that if possible, she never wanted to become a mother-- no-not because she was afraid of her death, but because she was afraid of giving someone the same life as herself--a life without a mother. However, her desire to have something she can call her own is also always present in her heart, along with her fear.
Things truly begin to change when she meets James and falls in love--she has so far not yet understood how she can fall for a musclehead like James, but try as she may, she can't do anything about her heart--and after their marriage, she learns a lot more about him. She knows how much he loves her; she can see it in the loving smile that grows on his face when he sees her.
That smile starts to chip away at her fear little by little, with thoughts like how wide James' smile is going to be after holding little James or Samantha in his hand and what kind of face her father, who never has any smile on his face, will make on seeing his grandson or granddaughter.
The images of playing with a small child, laughing with him, and hugging him for a long time started getting stronger day by day.
Samantha knows that even if she never becomes a mother, the love of her father and James will never lessen for her, but she also knows that if she is just afraid of the future, she should never have come outside of her father's protection, she should never have learned how to heal others, and she should never have fallen in love with James--who may be put his life on the line for loving the daughter of the strongest man in Dora settlement.
In this battle of desire and fear, desire prevails over fear. She stops taking precautions. She stops thinking about a future where she dies and leaves a little infant alone to cry his whole life.
It happened a year later. Being a healer herself, she had her suppositions, but when her master confirmed that she was pregnant, she found herself feeling a new kind of happiness.
The majority of Samantha's pregnancy turned out to be more normal than she had anticipated. She noticed that both of the men in the house were more anxious than she was during her pregnancy, and occasionally she saw her father and husband performing different types of voodoo around her for her protection. Samantha understood her father performing magic because he is a mage, but when she saw James imitate him, she just laughed at his antics. Every time something like that happens, she realizes just how much they adore her. In her joy, Samantha instinctively reaches for her abdomen and discovers her darling baby kicking her in response.
Samantha's long-standing concern turned out to be legitimate, though, as she encountered a problem involving both her and her most priceless possession--the human being growing inside her womb. Unexpectedly, a month before her due date, she developed stomach pain. not just any physical pain but a pain that shook her to the core, but perhaps it was also the day she began to understand what it meant to become a mother for the first time. She was in pain, but she understood that her child was suffering worse. She also felt that her 'unborn' child was feeling some kind of terrible fear. On that day, putting her hand on her belly, she made a fearless pledge to him that no one would be able to hurt her child while she was still alive, even if the entire world was against him.
Even her master was clueless about what happened to her that day, but everyone can comprehend what is happening now because her baby is going to come out into the world for the first time today.
....
Lying on the white bed of patients, Samantha is feeling more pain than she's ever felt in her life. Her misty eyes moved past her co-workers, who formed a circle surrounding her, and they fell on her master, who was holding her hand and whispering something in her ear.
"push, push, push"
after realizing that her senses were foggy. Samantha focused solely on the instructions she received from her master.
The pressure that had been building beneath her suddenly dissipated, and she was suddenly struck with a tired sense of relaxation.
Samantha's body is trembling throughout from exhaustion, but she musters the will to listen for her baby's first cry. But she hears nothing, and as each second passes, she begins to feel a distinct kind of fear squeeze across her heart. Before she began to crumble under the pressure of this anxiety, her master brought her attention to her.
"He is alright and healthy, just sort of weird... I mean, he's sleeping. You sleep as well."

Samantha simply nodded her agreement without saying a word before falling asleep.
....
Samantha lovingly caresses her sleeping baby as she looks back on the past week, perhaps the most exhausting week of her life but also the happiest week of her life.
"He's fallen asleep, huh? I have to admit that in the course of my long career, I have never encountered a situation quite like your kid."
Samantha frowns and stares at her master, who is standing in the doorway with a slight smile.
However, Samantha's displeasure is ignored as her master approaches her infant and begins to stare at him intently.
"Do you find out why he is so good? I mean, does he have any problems?"
Samantha simply asked what she wanted to know because she was well familiar with her master's personality.
"That's the problem: there is no problem with him."
In all the years Samantha had spent learning from her master, she had never heard such a statement from her. But it is also not wrong that her beloved son, in a good way, is a little odd.
He is healthier and stronger than any normal child, and no matter what her master says, her son being healthy is a wish come true for her.
Additionally, if she thinks about other odd things, she doesn't know whether she should be happy or upset about them.
Her baby is a silent type, and only when he is damp or hungry does he occasionally cry. He mostly just stares at other healers with his lovely green eyes, but occasionally he turns to gaze at her and smiles like James.
'Agh, all of this doesn't matter; he is healthy and cute-- not just cute but cutest--and this is all I want.'
"Maybe he awakens some old Bloodline of yours or James, or it may be because he is the grandson of a weirdo."
"Master!" Samantha shouts to get her master's attention when she notices her talking to herself while paying no attention to anything.
"Ok, ok, and he is the cutest of all the children I have ever seen; I can give him that much," her master examines her, "and I also can see you are healthy now. Any way your old man is down there, I should pack both of you up before he demolishes this building."
As her master said, her father is standing down there with his traditionally stoic face.
"You know you can come up there; the promise you make becomes null in this kind of situation".
Reaching next to him, Samantha reminds him.
"Hump! What kind of man will I be if I am not able to uphold my word just because of different situations?" Hearing this, Samantha just shook her head.
"But if anything had happened to any of you, he would have undoubtedly burned this building by setting it on fire." Said his master, who was coming behind her.
"I'd do it, but for the good of this settlement, stop chatting around and give him to me; you are still tired."
Giggling Samantha handed her son to her Father, and seeing the little infant, her father's stoic face started to crumble, and a thin smile came up instead. Looking at her father's facial expression, both she and her master start to laugh.
"He is not ugly." Putting on his facade again, her Father gave both of them a furious gaze.
"Come on, Samantha. I have sent a man to fetch your husband home; that ungrateful man will be at home by the time we get there, and if he is not, then it's far better." Turning with the baby in his hand, he said these with a menacing smile and started walking away.
Saying goodbye to her master, Samantha followed behind her father.
Out of the parameters of the healing house, her father turns toward her and asks "Are you feeling alright? You are not in any pain."
"I have no pain, and I am feeling no pain, and he is fine as well," she said, glancing at her child with a smile.
He nods with relief on his face that only Samantha can notice. "So I think both of you have already discussed what name we are going to give this little one." and said.
Hearing this, a blush flashed on Samantha's cheek, and she said yes while stuttering.
Seeing this, her father turned away and resumed his walk while muttering something about killing someone. In all of this, both of them don't notice the little infant peeking at them with intelligent eyes.
On their way home, she meets lots of well-wishers asking about her and her child's health and trying to peek at her baby, But they are all driven away like birds by her father.
As she draws nearer to her home, James, who is still outside the building and is wearing his uniform, sees her and sprints hundreds of meters in only a few seconds in her direction.
"You must be exhausted from carrying the kid around, so you could give him to me, Father," he asked with a giant smile.
"What do you take me for? I could easily handle a child's burden for the rest of my life. Leave the child with me and go take care of your wife."
Hearing this, he smiled wider and said nothing. James reached out to Samanta and hugged her.
After entering the home, his father placed the infant in the cradle that had been previously prepared and stood in front of it with his staff. And in front of her father, the husband, and wife stood on the other side of the cradle.
"Ok, let's be done with it. What are we going to name him anyway?" her father asked."
"Ah, we both decided it was going to be Beeta."
"Beeta huh."
After coughing once, his father starts naming.
"Me Edward Min, son of Alex Min and Debbie Allen, and the oldest of the Min household here, declares the name of the son of James Min unknown, and Samanta, daughter of Edward Min and Margot Stone, to be Beeta Min. Does his parent accept this?"
The couple said yes in unison.
And that is how the name that change the world came to be.
