{for now i will leave these so-called ku'it berries for later if i can't find anything else to eat that looks more familiar for my last venture out into the jungle as eating anything with unknown written in should be a last resort and ill need to build a rudimentary shelter very soon as its almost sun down}
Hayden got up and started walking carefully back into the forest whilst his leg still hurts and still has a minor limp due to pain but it won't impair his movement too much so it does seem to match his status page but that doesn't mean the injury won't be weaker due to scar tissue been softer than regular skin.
Hayden was a lot slower onto his venture into the jungle, and was careful of what grass he was walking on and for anything strange or unfamiliar a few minutes into his small hike, he found a clearing just behind some bushes that he really wished he hadn't seen as he saw as there was a puddle of muddy water only a few meters away from him. Whilst most people would rejoice at this scene Hayden can't as this puddle just happens to be surrounded by a few meters of purple grass!.
"FUCK!"
{whatever divine being brought me to this world i hope he steps on a lego brick because that is just pure evil! the only source of water i found so far and it has that freaking grass that lacerated my leg how am i suppose to get it.}
At first, Hayden thought he could make a bridge across, but planks aren't natural to find in a jungle so that idea was out and whilst people in novels with a system seem capable of lifting trees as bridges, he can only pick up a couple of bricks at most in weight. Hayden then thought about bunching up the sticks and laying them across but the grass seemed almost sentient when it grabbed him and there's no way he could prevent all the grass coming through the branches so that was out.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
hayden looked up above the puddle and saw a canopy of trees around him and there was a lot obviously, with all sorts of colors like the rainbow even some purple ones and ones with thorns all up the bark which Hayden is tempted to avoid seems bias, but when purple grass tries to kill you then you tend to avoid anything with weird colors or spikes.
However, there were some normal trees in the vicinity with some tough looking branches going above the pond and twirling around other branches. {Maybe i can consider climbing up a tree and slowly go over the puddle, but how would i collect the water there's nothing here. Maybe i can use my t-shirt to soak up some of the water as i did at home when i was whipping my brother in the back after i soaked it. I might not be able to hold the water for long but it would be good enough to get a drink from even if it's slightly dirty.}
So whilst Hayden gathered up his resolve and rubbed his hands together he gave a mighty jump towards the nearest hanging branch and barely managed to grab it. Whilst it was a struggle to get up onto the branch Hayden managed it. Then Hayden only had to climb up onto the remaining branches but there spread closer together so it was a lot easier.
hayden signs whilst perspiring with slight sweat. {Ok now the easy parts over, its time to get to the hard part, praying i dont fall onto that grass or snap the branch, but nothing should really happen to this branch given how thick it is. But i dont really have much choice otherwise if this is the only source of water i have nearby its best to take the risk.
As at the moment, it probably is more dangerous the further into the jungle as its mostly unknown territory. Best to stay close to the initial starting zone first and learn about my environment better, even if it means i have to suicidally hover over purple grass, it's better to get killed by something which abilities you understand then something you dont cause it means you have a higher survival chance of getting away.}
Hayden sat down on the branch he was on then took off his shirt holding it in one hand then he used his other to slowly pull his way across the branch. " fuck me why am i even doing this" Hayden was shaking in slight fear as he neared his possible doom and managed to reach the center of the puddle or near it and started clinging like a koala to the branch. "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK! why am i doing this if i screw up even once im gonna look like an alligator victim! from both ends of my body." Seeing no reaction from the grass Hayden lowered his tee shirt into the puddle and waited a few seconds for the shirt to soak up the water then he brought it back up and drank the water dripping from his shirt he repeated this a few times till he had his fill. Hayden then pulled himself back into an upright position and nudged backward before finally climbing down from the tree in relief he sat at the bottom of the tree thankful for still been alive. Hayden started walking back to were he started when he came here had he looked back at the puddle he would have seen a purple bulb sticking out the grass with a slitted purple eye looking at him seemingly glaring the reason was just behind the tree from Hayden a purple vine was just about to come round the tree to get him.
