I love fantasy and sci-fi, and this story has been on my mind for years. Now, its elements seem to be clicking together - an ancient forest, a forgotten land, a protagonist running from a painful past...

So welcome to Aurora Myst! This is a passion project being built live, so I have an idea of the story I want to tell, but a good part of it takes shape as a write. I welcome your notes and suggestions about the tone, the style of writing, the characters and what you'd like to see more or less of in the story.

For Aurora Myst, my biggest influences are (in no specific order): the manga Nausicca by Hayao Miyazaki, The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien, the anime Frieren: After the Journey's End, and games like Final Fantasy (especially Tactics, VII, XII and XIV) and Shadow of the Colossus. I also wanted to bring a certain tropical flavour to it (the rainforest, Latin-American myths) so it wont feel too much like a run-of-the-mill European High-Fantasy novel.
