Chapter 7

"The blood moon period?" I asked

"Perhaps the human race didn't want to pass down the dark history. I can tell you if you want." The woman said

I looked at Kishi and said "Is all this real?"

"Yeah"

"Then... why weren't you surprised when I told you I was a human when we first met?" I asked

"Well.... I was. But, I also know that humans didn't go extinct, that they still had settlements because.... I visited a human village before."

The woman suddenly said "So.... So the folktales were true? The ones that says there were hidden human sanctuaries in the remotes of this world?"

I turned to the demon, Radolf. He also didn't look too surprised when I revealed I am a human.

He must noticed me and said before I even asked "I was raised by humans"

"So they were true!" The woman said and turned towards me "Then what about you? Where is your home village and family? What is life like? How are your parents?"

I felt shocked by the question. I looked down at the ground and remained silent for a few seconds. Things were going through my mind, of what should I tell them, but then a sentence leaked out of my mouth "I don't know... I was very young... My parents kept telling me not to leave, that is was dangerous, but I never listened and it was probably my worst mistake of my life..." A few tears leaked out of my eyes. Kishi walked over to me and gave me a pat on my back. "I'm sorry.... I want to know more about the blood moon, but I don't think I can handle it now..." I said

"That's ok. When you are ready, you can always come to our tavern" the man said. "It's inside a village not far from here in that direction. We were on our way back when we met Radolf who said he was looking for the village, so we said he can follow us. Then, a few explosions appeared, but we weren't too worried as many adventures trained here. It was then a loud boom came and trees started flying in our direction."

We started walking towards the village. On the way, we talked about a few things like how special the beers are in the tavern, and the recipe for the tavern's special apple pie.

"Do you know about the god of the world? His name is Alduin, he really is a god that walks among us. He visits the village once in a while and every time he would stop by at the tavern and ask for a drink. And every single time, there will be groups of adventures and fighters gathered around him to challenge him to fights. But of course, as a god, he has never lost a single fight just yet, I don't think there's anyone would could win against him."

"Yeah, but that don't discourage people from challenging him, instead I think it encouraged them because after every fight he would tell them how much they improved and how strong they can get, giving them advice and such. Once, there was even a group of twenty people who fought him at the same time, a 20 vs 1, but they still......" the conversation continued but I had slowed down my walking speed and pulled Kishi.

"Hey dude, didn't you say that 'that man' could win against Alduin? Who is he anyways?" I asked Kishi when the other three has walked a short distance away, far enough that they won't hear me.

Kishi smiled and said "Well, that man is..."

"My master" A voice suddenly appeared from behind us

I took our my dagger on instinct and turned around while shouting "Who are you?" I took a proper look and realized who it was. It was Alduin, the god of the world.
