Atherium: Prologue

In 2163, humanity has lost the path towards self-actualization. Roughly, 98% of the human population are unable to accept themselves and maintain deep, meaningful relationships; unable to exist autonomously, therefore profound moments of happiness are nonexistent; deficient in the sense of creativity; unable to see the reality of self and others; the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion for others is essentially nonexistent, and they are unable to find humor in their own mistakes, consequently the appreciation for their own life appears fictional. This has created turmoil among the entire Earth Sphere.

The world has been shrouded in exponential fear and the inability to live independently—only to exist dependently, society is unprogressive, slow advancements in terms of creativity; heavy crime rates are on the rise, poverty and depression is astronomical, and disease has ravaged across the continents. These dynamics have left the world to implode inward.

Through centuries the world has known of the existence of successors of being self-actualized; individuals balanced in the arts of the physical, mental, and spiritual senses. With the existence and myriad illustrations of self-actualization—from self-care volumes to in-person seminars—humans have always had access to these illustrations at their fingertips. That being said, through unguided avenues injudicious individuals have gravitated towards the illusion of what they perceive happiness as.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

To combat the ever-spreading turmoil, nine intelligent CEOs from across the world came together as the Nine Founding Circles and created A&O Affiliation, therefore birthing the existence of what has been popularized as the modern-day Elysium, Atherium. This is the origin of the Omni Realm, an infamous tournament where magians—individuals who have studied and mastered the magical arts—utilize the spirit ether to call upon magical energy and the summoning of ancient historical figures—realistic and mythical.

Kero Savon is a magian from the Omega Class. He seeks justice from the Founding Circles of the Alpha Class for his family, the family of his best friend, Rynan Casser, and the rest of the Omega Class who have all have succumbed to the alleged side effects of the serum of enlightenment, created and reproduced by The A&O Affiliation, Mandala.

Will the fate of the proposed Omega Offer lead Kero to succession of his convictions, or will it lead him to his death?
