The Start

Do you ever feel like you are pushed to the outside of the circle and are looked at like the black sheep? That is exactly how Clover Parker felt in this family. She felt like she was always the outcast and the rejected.

On a dark winter night, clover was at a family dinner. As they sat around the table, comments were made in "fun" at Clover's expense. Comments like "Clover you were found on the side of the road that's why you look different". They all laughed at this comical "joke" and after many more rounds of "jokes", clover couldn't handle anymore of it. She excused herself from the table "Oh be careful everyone looks like Clover might go cry" her eldest brother Kristian said with a laugh. That caused the entire table to erupt with laughter.

Clover walked out of the house, the door closed and Clover let out a sigh. She was sitting on the porch swing when her tears started to drop onto her lap. "I wish they all knew the pain that they caused me. Some karma to make them understand everything they have done to hurt me." clover whimpered into the night sky.

The wind started to whip and a chill bit through the air and stung Clover's cheeks. She decided to go home and tend to her own family. For some reason, her siblings all took pride in wanting to have these family bonding moments. Clover did not want to be a part of them but her husband told her it was important to at least try.

Flashback

Clover you are a joke, you walk around like you are better than everyone else because you have seen and done more things. Things would be easier if you didn't exist, you are not wanted around here. That was the first time Clover tried to take her own life. It was not the last either.

Clover drove home to be with her family, as she walked in the door she was rushed by her children. "mama you were gone forever." her son Xavier said as he grabbed her waist. "Only for a minute or two but I will always come home to you my sweet Xavier boy." Clover told her sweet boy.

Her husband walked around the corner into their mudroom carrying their youngest daughter Ophelia. "Hello my love, how was dinner?" he asked Clover even though he knew the answer. Clover let out a sigh, kissed her daughter and hugged her husband. "I am not sure why I even try, I will never be good enough in their eyes. I will always be the black sheep." clover said. "Where is everyone else hiding?" Clover asked, looking for their other children.

"Cecily is in her room reading as usual, Jasper is building something in the garage but we are not allowed to see it until it's finished. Callie went out with a few friends to the mall and should be home in an hour or so," he told her. This made Clover smile. Her children were her pride and joy, they made her a better person.

Clover stood at her kitchen counter, wondering what her life would have turned out to be if she had just run off to the coast with Dean when they met. Clover looked at the clock and it was just before 8 pm, she looked at her husband who was talking to Xavier and Ophelia. " How about we get these littles down for bed and we can sit together and wait for Callie to come home," Clover asked her husband.

"Sounds like a plan my sweet, I'll wrangle them if you want to tell Jasper that he needs to wrap up by 8:30 pm," he called over his shoulder to her. Clover nodded and headed to the garage. As she peered in the garage she saw her son, he was tinkering away. "Jasper, you have to be picked up and cleaned up by 8:30 pm please," Clover said in the doorway. "You got it, Mom, also I missed you, just so you know," Jasper said without looking up from the metal in front of him.

Clover shook her head with a smile, he truly amazed her. He was always on the go and moving, his brain ran a mile a minute. As Clover stood outside and the wind whipped through her hair, she thought she heard a voice dancing on the air telling her "All will be healed".
