Part One: Blue Blood- prologue

Ten years ago, an asteroid weaved between planets gracefully making its way to Earth. Its blue crystals poked out, sparkling menacingly. It flew past the moon as it made its way to the everlasting atmosphere, casting a shadow across the western world. It sounded out a large BOOM as it entered our globe.

It fell at exceedingly quicker speeds creating a red and orange fireball in the bright sky. Chunks flew off burning up and creating explosions of dark blue fire. On the radio the news speculated it's fall, and landing. Despite the broadcasts predictions it falls where it chose. It fell until crashing. Crashing into a city in Philadelphia.

The people raised their hands in surprise and in a feeble attempt to protect them from the object from out of this world. It crushed two of the people raising their arms. It's rocky edges scraped the building's and cars, even crushing one as it fell in the middle of the street.

Its crash sent a shockwave of dust and debris through the town, sending people and some cars flying. All of this was unexpected, since scientists said it would cause no major damage, but there was something even more unexpected. A blue shockwave rang from the meteor. It flew through the town at an incredible speed. Though mysteriously it only knocked certain people over in it's lapis colored rampage.

As this unfolded a twelve year old was doing homework in his room. Unaware of the meteor he spotted a blue light getting ever brighter. He cautiously put his pencil down and stood up. As he peered out the window the light threw him across the room with a loud THUMP. His mother quickly rushed up to his room to find him slumped against the wall with a trickle of blood running from his head. Blue blood.
