Severus Snape had always been a private and reserved man, even within the walls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. As a teacher of Potions, he was used to keeping his emotions in check and maintaining a stern demeanor in front of his students. However, there
was one person who had always managed to break through his defenses, his five-year-old daughter Themis.
Named after the ancient underground city of justice, Themis was a bright and curious child with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. She had a knack for getting into all sorts of trouble, much to Severus' chagrin, but he couldn't help but love her fiercely.
One day, Severus was in the library, grading papers and trying to catch up on his work when he heard a commotion coming from the common room. He rushed out to investigate and was shocked to find his daughter Themis, fast asleep in the lap of none other than Harry Potter.

Harry looked up at Severus with a guilty expression, his glasses slipping down his nose. "I'm sorry, Professor Snape," he stammered. "I was just reading a story to the children and she fell asleep in my lap."
Severus felt a surge of protectiveness towards his daughter, but he couldn't help but notice the tenderness in Harry's eyes as he gazed down at Themis. "It's alright, Potter," he said gruffly. "I'll take her back to our quarters."
Gently scooping up his daughter, Severus couldn't help but feel a twinge of gratitude towards Harry for looking after her. As he carried her to their quarters, he couldn't shake the image of Harry cradling Themis in his arms.
Later that evening, as he tucked Themis into bed, she stirred and sleepily mumbled, "I like Harry, Dad. He tells the best stories."
Severus felt a pang in his chest as he realized that his daughter had found a friend in the most unlikely person. Perhaps, he thought, it was time to let go of the grudges of his past and open himself up to the possibility of friendship. And who knows, maybe even he and Harry could find some common ground in their shared love for Themis.
