Strength slowly seeped from my body. While laying in a bed that was encompassed in white. Eternal sleep was extending its hand to me, and I could not resist......
On the brink of death and life. My mind felt groggy, like overdosing on medicine when feeling depressed.... Depression, something that takes the importance out of life. Bringing the loneliness, the sadness, and death. I died the minute I got the disease, I thought solemnly....Unable to to resist the call of the dead any longer, I finally let my mind rest.....
But my mind, no......My soul was thrown into a heavenly void, full of chaos as well as peace. I stayed in this state of utter confusion for what seemed like decades, with time passing or staying still. I don't know, time was like paradox in the 'void'.
Through the void appeared a black hole, it sucked all the mass from the 'void' which included me. Hurtling through the black hole, I felt like I was on a roller coaster going in loops at the speed of sound.....
As consciousness returned to me, I felt different from before. No, how should I say it. I seemed to have returned to my previous state. I had gotten a body.....
Trying to open my eyes, I was unable too. Feeling like a kid, I used my patient mind gained from countless years of experience to wait...
........................................................................................
I slowly but surely opened my eyes.........Looking around, I saw a wolf with a humanoid figure. Staring closely, my eyesight was abnormally clear and sharp. The humanoid wolf holding me pushed me into some kind of cave.
The cave felt different as well, it felt like.....home. Looking around with my abnormal eyesight. I saw what seemed like pups all around me, they had wolfish features though. One, on the other hand was oddly white and different from the rest.
Still on edge from this weird experience, I notice my body felt...well different. Looking down...."Oh god!" I shouted. Only to hear a high pitched bark come out of my mouth. I had the body of a wolf pup! Sleek, black fur covered every inch of my body. My hands became paws, and my teeth felt extremely sharp when I touched them with my tongue. Shaking my head, I try to put in order the events that occurred.
First thing that happened was my death....That is certain. Anything after that is sketchy, the only thing I actually remember after my death is the odd sensation of being in a loop.
Deep in thought a slapping sound echoed in the cave. Looking in the direction of the sound, I'm met with countless puppies rushing past me for the 'thing' that hit the cave floor. My survival instincts kicking in, I too run in the direction of the sound, instead of running on two legs I had to run on four which I surprisingly did with ease. Catching up to the pups, I overcome them and reach the 'thing', Only to be met with a rabbit. It was a bloodied rabbit. Stunned for a second, reality slowly sinks in. I ........have been reincarnated. Not as human but as some type of animal. This must be punishment I thought solemnly.

I was....an assassin. Yes assassins do exist and they are common. If you think all the big bad killers are locked behind bars. Your dead wrong, dead. What makes an assassin good, is the ability to never get caught. Assassins are willing to die before risking capture. Assassins and other criminals are fundamentally different. They aren't murderers who decide to one day to kill someone over a personal grudge. Or a psychopath who has a illness. You don't become an Assassin, you are born one. Yeah...my family were all Assassins. Were they normal? ....no. Assassins are essentially contract killers they kill for a living theres no other way.
My family from a young age trained me in the family business. I was taught infiltration, poison, weaponry, information gathering, and other important aspects of the job. To their utter surprise I was extremely good at everything. Assassin's become Assassin's through training. But I on the other hand knew how to mix poisons after one demonstration or make new poisons using a combination. I even had a talent in concealing my presence well. After I showed my genius abilities they trained me harder teaching me secret Assassination techniques and even the ultimate ninjustsu arts. I trained and trained, until my first mission.
It was the Assassination of a rival company manager who held black mail material on our client. It was a high risk mission and my parents started me off with this mission to test my worth.
I completed it efficiently, and elegantly. I shadowed the target home and when he let down his guard, to enter the house. A knife slashed his throat cleanly, the body guards were in hysteria. His death was extremely unexpected, I came in like blur running from behind concealment cutting his throat, and leaving behind a corner.
When they checked they couldn't find me. Since well....they didn't look up. Yeah I climbed the side of the building, exited through the other side. Then I used my talent of being able to control my presence, to diminish it. Once I did, I blended with the crowd and went home.
My parents were extremely proud. That time was probably the only time in my life, I enjoyed being an Assassin.
After all when dealing with death, you get a sort of heavy feeling. You aren't what most humans are.....happy. Yeah, some people are stressed or what not. But could you really say that after being born as an outcast of society. Trained from birth to kill people. Only.....only to get a fucking hereditary chronic illness....That kills you. It would compare to being harshly talked too by you boss.
