Dear Readers,

After much consideration, I’ve decided to take the story in a new direction. As we continue to explore Ralph’s journey in the modern world, I want to share that soon, the focus will shift to a new protagonist in an epic fantasy setting. While Ralph remains the central character for now, his journey will lay the groundwork for future events that will intertwine with the new character’s experiences.

It took time for me to reach this decision. Originally, I was working on two books—The Ace of Spades (TAOS), an urban crime story, and Ashen Requiem, an epic fantasy. After losing chapters from TAOS, I struggled to reignite my passion for it, even after rewriting everything. During a conversation with an associate, he jokingly suggested, “Why not combine the two?” At first, it didn’t make sense. But while working on Ashen Requiem, I recalled his comment and decided to experiment.

I didn’t merge the entire TAOS story; instead, I took a few important characters, Ralph included, and added them into the mix. This heavily changed Ashen Requiem, but in a good way. It wasn’t easy, and it required a lot of adjustments, which is why I haven’t posted in a while. But after pulling it off, I’m confident this new direction will bring something special to the story.

This shift will allow us to dive into deeper explorations of the world’s lore, kingdoms, and magical forces, setting the stage for an exciting evolution in the narrative. I know this might seem like a risky move, and I completely understand if some of you decide to drop the series, but I believe the final result will be worth it.
