0 - A Battle At The End of Time

Destruction.

Chaos.

Apocalypse.

The final bout at the end of time unleashed such massive waves of godly energy that all realms and all timelines that found themselves caught in the middle of the battle were left horribly misshapen and forevered altered by the wrath of behemoth Gods.

A flash of white. And a flash of black and red.

Two godly entities found themselves fighting at the very precipice where time and space formed anew.

"Vogvir!" Called out the black and red clad figure, "Give it up! I have risen to the very top, above all men, above all creatures, above time and space itself! All that is left is you."

The white clad figure was crouched down in a fighting stance, no doubt ready to strike once more when the moment required him to. His white eyes glowed with the wisdom and power of billions of lifetimes. He exhaled slowly and stood up straight, folding his arms over his chest as he looked at the deviant before him. Vogvir, The God of All Time, seemed almost disappointed in what the godlike creature before him had become.

"Keres," He spoke calmly and slowly as though he had exerted no effort throughout their fight, "To think you have fallen this low. I had ordained your fate to be great, far greater than even you could've dreamed off so many moons ago in that barn you called your home. Had I known you would bring so much death, destruction and misery to us all, I would've never bestowed upon you the Artificer's Tear."

Keres, the man who had nearly risen above God himself, laughed loudly. He broke his formation for a moment to try and catch his breath as he had been attacking on all cylinders since the very start and yet, he had not managed to land a single meaningful blow. As he looked at Vogvir with hate and disdain, he pounded his chest with whatever sense of pride remained in his near immortal body.

"That may have been my fate, Vogvir," Keres stated, a grimace forming on his aged face, "But I have made it my very destiny to surpass all Kings and every God that has stepped in my way. You, old bastard, are all that remains in my way."

"And what will you do once you have defeated me?" Vogvir looked out into the void, swirling with black, crimson and sunset orange hues as it ate away every realm and every piece of time it could. "What will you do with such power at your disposal? It is lonely at the top of this mountain, you know. All of this power, all of this responsibility, the power to control and weave the fates of trillions upon billions of timelines. It is maddening sometimes, even for me. But what of you? What can a mortal man ever hope to understand about controlling the passage and the very flowing order of time?"

Keres looked at the God as if he had completely disregarded the ominous warning he had been given. Instead, a fiendish grin broke out on his face, crazed laughter escaping his throat.

"With all that power in my hands, there will be no need for me to control time. No, I will control absolutely everything there is to control in all of existence. Every timeline, every realm, every person, all the way down to their smallest cell, I will control everything. I will become The One True God, above everything, above all."

Vogvir turned towards Keres, seemingly caught off guard at the mention of such a title.

"The One True God?" He spoke softly, though somewhat spooked, "I had only heard of such a title in my visions. A being who would bring the end of our existence as we knew it, someone who would eradicate time and space... Someone who could kill even me."

Vogvir's calm expression furrowed in silent anger. He unfolded his hands and pointed at Keres.

"Keres Stormveil, you are a threat to all of existence itself. As The God of All Time and the only remaining God as a result of your bloody rampage on this meaningless quest to conquer all, I will make it my duty to destroy you and take back that which you have taken. No... Not just you. All of you."

"Finally... There is the anger I have sought. Come, Vogvir! Let's end this!"

The two clashed once more, exchanging powerful blows which destroyed entire worlds and fractured space itself. Back and forth they went, until all that was left was an infinite void of black with fractured white cracks of light. There were no stars, no planets, not even air remained within this void. All that existed was Keres and Vogvir.

After what seemed like thousands of years or perhaps just a few moments as time no longer seemed to exist, Vogvir wrapped his hand around the neck of Keres. The deviant was left powerless, unable to fight any more having used up every last bit of strength in his body.

"Curse you, Vogvir," Keres spoke as he choked from the crushing weight from the hand of The God of All Time, "Release me... I can still kill you where you stand!"

"That is enough," Vogvir's voice projected as an echo as he crushed the man's throat with his grip, "Your crusade of destruction ends here. I will cleanse all of the timelines of your influence. Never again shall you terrorize or antagonize the timelines or its people. I reclaim the power you have stolen from my fellow Gods and hereby erase you from existence itself."

Vogvir's glowing white eyes shot beams at Keres. The man screamed a howling scream as he felt he was burnt by the heat of ten million suns as his body and his very soul was slowly dismantled, losing every single ability, every spell, every power he had stolen on his ascension to the precipice of Godhood. The pain, the suffering, the burning felt eternal, as he felt his very being torn to shreds and erased from existence itself. In the end, not even his ashes or any microscopic cells remained. All that remained was Vogvir, holding the powers and the essence of his fallen brothers and sisters in his hand. Now faced with the nearly insurmountable task of recreating, reshaping and remaking the very fabrics of time and space, Vogvir sighed and he rested for a moment in the endless, silent void.

"Now.. Where should I start?"
