A full moon hung in the night sky casting everything under it in an iridescent glow. Under the moon lays a city a blaze in the night. Silver and gold flames leap from building to building like serpents hunting for prey. Men, women and children are being slaughtered in the street by beings so fast that in their wake they leave only a black shadow. Through all of this carnage walks a boy, with hair and eyes black as slate. a woman is being bent over a railing next to him, her eyes glistening with tears, crying for help. He glances at her indifferently and walks on. Next one of the shadows slices at him with a dagger. In an instant he ducks and the blade slides past, a moment later the shadow is consumed in silver flames. In this terror he walked on seemingly unstoppable. Limbs and blood fly, still he walks on & as he walked out of that blazing city in his eyes there was no spark of life, seemingly an abyss leading to the end. But in these eyes he bears the Darkest Night.
