Julian couldn't believe what he was seeing. The girl that murdered him is now standing right in front of him. Her pink hair was almost to her butt, and her green eyes were bright.
'What the hell...I thought I would be ready for this,'
Arielle glanced around the classroom and stopped when she saw Julian. He felt like she stared at him for an eternity before she sat down.
'This is just too weird. I best forget about her and pretend she doesn't exist.'
Not long after, the door opened again. This time a guy with short red hair that was parted down the middle walked in. His yellow eyes looked like they were shooting daggers at the students in the room. He walked to the front of the class and turned to face the students with a stiff salute.
"Good morning. My name is Albus Travon. You all can call me Captain Albus. I'll be your teacher from this point forward."
Some of the students were whispering to each other in the back.
"He looks so young. He can't be much older than us, can he?"
"I heard he's the youngest captain ever in the Imperium!"
"He's kinda hot, though…"
Albus walked to his desk and began a roll call. After everyone's names were called, he looked back up to the class.
"Now that introductions are out of the way, we will begin our lecture. Today we will start from the beginning with a discussion on the Alpha Cells in our body, and how to activate them using aura."
He went on to discuss the basics of how using one's aura to activate alpha cells causes a person's ability to manifest. He went a little further and did a demonstration. He picked up a yellow ball from his desk and clasped it in both hands. A second later, a yellow light formed around the ball, and Albus moved his hands away from it. The ball was hovering in thin air in front of Albus's chest.
"As you can see, my ability is a form of telekinesis. You may not be able to tell, but its activation method isn't by channeling through my hands. It may seem that way at first, but these gloves aren't just for show. These gloves are what I use as my medium. Many of you use mediums yourselves, so this demonstration should be helpful to you."
He placed the ball back on the table and looked back at the class.
"This may seem like I'm just reiterating what you've already heard, but what I'm doing is actually preparing you for my class. You could be the best at activating your ability, but if you can't utilize it in combat then you will fail my class. That's why I'm stressing the basics before we get to the hard stuff. If you can't get the basics right, then you're going to have a hard time getting through this class. That's why I pu-"
"Tch. This is bullshit. I already know what I'm doing, punk. Just because you're some military hotshot doesn't mean you can waltz in here and expect me to listen to this lame crap. If you're not gonna get to the good stuff then don't even bother coming here."

Julian looked at the person who made that statement and he felt sick after seeing who it was. This guy's name was Larrick Grandiff. He was the heir to the Grandiff Corporation in Doxa City, and he was the biggest asshole that Julian had ever seen.
He was standing at the back of the class with a sour look on his face. His brown hair was spiked up on top of his head.
"If you have a problem with the way I teach, then you're welcome to talk to the headmaster."
Albus gave him a stern look and continued with what he was saying.
"That's why I put together a test that will determine what rank you're currently at. As you all know, you will be given a rank based on how well you can perform during combat. Ranks begin at F class and go up to S class. Don't be discouraged by a low rank. By learning more about your ability, increasing your aura pool, or learning a martial skill, you can equip yourself with the skills you need to perform well in combat. Your test will be given on Friday, so make sure you practice. That's all for today."
Albus sat down at his desk when he was finished and began reading a book.
"Hey Ju-ju, I've gotta pick up some groceries so I'll see you tomorrow."
"Alright then. See you tomorrow."
Luna waved goodbye and took off down the hallway.
'I've got four days until the test. That's plenty of time to get this weak body back in shape.'
Julian returned home to begin practicing for the test.
He sat on his bed and closed his eyes. He looked into his aura pool and still couldn't sense any heavenly aura. What surprised him though was the fact that his aura pool was the same size it had been right before ascending into a god.
'It must be because I already know everything about my ability. I just haven't ascended yet, so my body can't hold heavenly aura.'
When aura was revealed to the world, it was believed that a person's aura pool size was decided before birth. If a person had a small aura pool, then their ability would be weak and they couldn't use it too much. If someone were to use it too much, then the alpha cells would over-activate and the person would die a painful death as their cells disintegrated.
It was later discovered that learning new ways to use an ability increased a person's aura pool. By learning new ways to utilize an ability and practicing it often, would lead to a great expansion of an aura pool. One could also increase their Aura Pool by practicing a Martial Skill.
'Maybe this will be easier than I thought."
Julian felt relieved that he wouldn't have to relearn everything about his ability. He began circulating his aura throughout his body. He focused heavily on his bones and muscles. His body felt less stiff than before, and he felt that his aura control was flowing smoothly.
'I still feel weak. It must be because this body hasn't practiced any martial skills.'
Martial Skills are like martial arts from the past. They've been greatly enhanced to include different ability types and improved in strength by the discovery of aura.
'Which one should start with though? I don't have any heavenly aura yet, so it can't be a god-tier martial skill. Maybe Cloudstrike Fist or Thunder Strike? The first one can be useful for surprise attacks but can be easily countered. Thunderstrike is easy to practice but slow in cultivation.'
In the end, Julian decided to go with Windbreak. It was easy to practice with minimal cultivation. This would give him a good starting point for his body.
He went to the roof of his apartment building and started practicing Windbreak. Just as he expected, it didn't take long for him to break the first tier. After breaking it, he could feel his body getting stronger. His muscles grew more defined and his body felt lighter.
Martial Skills have 10 tiers of cultivation. After breaking each tier, the person will have an increase in their stats and aura pool.
Julian just broke the first tier, and his knowledge of the skill helped him break through the second with relative ease.
The first tier of a martial skill only grants the user an increase in their stats and aura pool. The second tier grants the user the first aura-infused move of that particular martial skill.
Julian stood up and walked to the center of the roof. He got into the opening stance of Windbreak and started circulating his aura.
He then leaped into the air and kicked his leg from the side. A blade of wind shot from his leg and quickly flew about 20 feet in front of him before dissipating.
'This is probably all my body can handle right now. I'll just practice this until after the test.'
Julian smiled as he admired his progress.
