Prologue

About two-thousand years ago, the Creatrix made manifest herself in the form of a rose-like flower, bringing order to the kingdoms and tribes of Craetakur who were often in armed conflict with each other. They called this the Creatrix Flower. After the Creatrix manifested herself, a loose federation-type empire formed with a city known as Viapacis, which was before named Fulst-Pabai as political, economic, and spiritual capital. Peoples from all communities of Craetakur would often make pilgrimages to Viapacis to pray beneath the Blue Pillar. It appeared at the top of a tall and wide mountain known as the Blue Pillar. Viapacis was located on a smaller sub mountain south of the Blue Pillar. A popular practice was to fast, and process around the mountain in prayer. It would take about a week to complete. There was a structure at the top of the Blue Pillar that protected the Creatrix Flower called the Sanctum of the Precious Flora. It was the duty of the human-like species known as Domaelings to take care of the Sanctum of the Precious Flora.

The Domaelings had light skin, pointed ears, and dim glowing blue irises. They were also typically shorter than men and Deorlings. The Creatrix gave them these special traits to serve her. The pointed ears let them hear her. The glowing eyes were from an overflow of grace that let them see the Creatrix Flower without dying to its beauty. It was said that those whose eyes do not glow could not look at the Creatrix Flower and live. With these traits, they could bring the messages and orders of the Creatrix to all of Craetakur, as well as take care of the Sanctum. They recorded them in a document they called the Edict of Craetakur. It strangely, and perhaps barbarically, stated this as the first entry:

“I am the Creatrix: your queen, your king, your father, your mother. I am everything; the truth and only truth. Every Domaeling child at the age of ten weeks since their birth shall have their fourth finger severed. This will remind them of their service and belonging to me. Union with the Creatrix is far more important than a finger.”

The organization that was responsible for waiting and recording the words of the Creatrix were known as the Burning Ones. They stayed resident for months at a time at the top of the Blue Pillar in waiting.

The Domaelings were native to the southern parts of Craetakur, but the northern parts of Craetakur were inhabited by a species of wolf-men known as Deorlings. They stood tall with a demand for authority; perhaps between six to seven feet tall. They had light gray fur and light blue eyes like the Domaelings, however, they did not glow. Their mind and bodies seemed to be built for combat more so than men or Domaelings. The ratio of their size to their strength was higher than men and Domaelings. A 210 pound bow could have been easily drawn by an adult Deorling: Man or woman.  They had very sharp fangs as well as very sharp claws on their feet and hands. They were known for the soldiery; they were great warriors: disciplined, loyal, trustworthy, and seemed to have lesser sense of fear. Their sense of smell and sight were very acute.

Like the Domaelings, they severed a part their bodies as a reminder to their service to the Creatrix. However, they removed the tip of their left ear.

There was another species that not much was known about. They were called Chimeras. It was said that they were pure intellects or spirits. In other words; they were fleshless. The only manifestations that were said to have seen were puffs of sourceless smoke and rising snow accompanied by a sense of bliss and the smell of flowing water.
