As Buddha in MHA
2 Years Later

2 Years Later

In the sprawling cityscape of Osaka where millions of people lived their lives, one young man was resting his eyes atop the tallest building in the city.

"Can't believe I'm a third year now. Time sure does fly by." said Yuuichi as he adjusted his position to get more comfortable.

It had been nearly two years since the former President of the Hero Commission had let the country know he had been "compromised" by a villain's quirk and had "willingly" resigned.

The aftermath of his resignation and his confession about making Lady Nagant into a wetwork agent for the President was as expected by the Yaoyorozus.

The country went into an uproar about it and the trust in Heros fell by a not-so-small margin. The weeks following the incident were rough for any hero and some even resigned out of pressure from the public. Of course, because of the distrust in Heroes, the crime rate also went up.

But everything was seemingly made better when the Number 1 Pro Hero in Japan, All Might, made a statement.

"We are Heroes, yes, but we are also humans. We all make mistakes, but it's important that we own up to those mistakes and do our best to make up for those mistakes. Heroes never die! Plus Ultra!"

With that speech and an increased workload on all of Japan's heroes, the public sentiment had pretty much returned back to normal.

That's not to say people were acting like it never happened, they just realized that Villains were the root cause of it all, shifting their anger from the Heroes to the Villains, just like the Yaoyorozus expected it to happen.

As for Lady Nagant, she was a woman of her word. The day after the President resigned, she became Momo's bodyguard with a very generous salary plus benefits, which she turned down at first but relented when faced with the Yaoyorozu matriarch's insistence.

Momo was very surprised and happy that one of her role models was going to be her bodyguard, but she also knew what Nagant was forced to do for the President, so she felt bad for her. And seeing such an innocent young child earnestly feel bad for her circumstances and not judge her for them made Nagant break down.

Two years later, Nagant continued to be Momo's bodyguard, but Momo saw her as more of an older sister figure than a bodyguard. And she wasn't the only one.

Yuuichi took advantage of the fact that he had a former top Pro Hero in his house every day and would ask Nagant to spar once a day, which she gladly accepted. And spending so much time together, Yuuichi also began to see her as an older sister figure.

As for Yuuichi's hero schooling, it continued as normal.

He moved on from his first year to his second year at the top of his class and during his second year he, along with Kunio and Kentaro, passed the Provisional Hero License Exam with flying colors.

And with his Provisional Hero License, he was able to start doing his Hero-Work Studies. Given the chance to not have to go to school as much as before, Yuuichi immediately took the opportunity to begin his Hero-Work Studies.

Unfortunately, his first choice of Hero to do his Work Study under retired due to some controversy so he had to look for someone else. And after looking at the past agencies who were interested in him for the Internship, he decided to do his Work Study under Shield Hero: Crust.

When first meeting, Yuuichi was instantly amused by the man because he was a man who wore his heart on his sleeve. He cried when Yuuichi mentioned that Nagant was his first choice, and he mentioned how much he regretted that he wasn't able to do anything to help his colleague.

But besides the man's amusing and emotional personality, he was a very good hero and a very good combatant, which Yuuichi also took advantage of.

Unlike, Nagant, however, Crust was not just a villain apprehension specialist. He took on all kinds of hero work, even doing hero work that wasn't entirely suited to his abilities which let Yuuichi know that Crust was one of the few true heroes. A man who would put his life on the line to save someone, a rare commodity in today's Hero Society.

Anyway, on the first day of the Work Study, Yuuichi was on his way to meet up with Crust when a bank robbery took place right in front of him. So, Yuuichi quickly intervened and took care of the villains, all three of whom had weak quirks which made it a breeze for Yuuichi.

The thing was, Yuuichi was not in his hero costume but rather he was in his casual clothes of a blue tank top with an eye-patched rabbit that said "Usachan", dark purple joggers, and blue sneakers. And with him saving the people inside the bank and stopping the villains, he didn't have the chance to change into his, at the time, newly updated hero costume which went from the flashy blue and white robes to a more simple orange monk robe with a fantasy style twist.

Thus everyone assumed his casual clothes were his hero costume, leading him to adopt his casual clothes as his hero costume. It was a win-win for him because they were much more comfortable than his hero costume and he wasn't all that happy with the second iteration of his hero costume either. Though his Mom did get angry at him for not clearing up the misconception.

So, his second year was spent going to school when he had to and doing Work Study when he could. Unfortunately, unlike the third years who could pretty much do Work Study the entire year, second years could only do Work Study 3 days out of the 6-day school week. But that was fine with Yuuichi because anything was better than nothing.

Of course, Yuuichi wasn't the only one that was doing Work Study as a majority of those in their second year did as well, including Kunio and Kentaro.

Kunio went back with Tuna Fish Man and had been thriving under him while Kentaro decided to go back to Gang Orca. Both of them had also made their semi-debuts as heroes with Kunio managing to save a load of people from a collapsed building before feeding them. All the people rescued said they had never tasted food that was as good as that, which made Kunio tear up.

Kentaro's debut was him saving a little girl from being bulldozed by a villain with a Bull quirk by grabbing the villain by the horns and flipping him over. Kentaro thought the little girl would be scared of him so he just quickly made sure she was okay, but it turned out she had admired him ever since she saw him compete in the Sports Festival and asked for his autograph. He was beaming with joy after that.

Overall, their second year at U.A. was pretty similar to everyone else's, except for a few details here and there, but their third years, also their 17th year on Earth would surely be different.

Though for Yuuichi, it was off to pretty much the same start as the previous year.

BEEP BEEP

"Duty calls." said Yuuichi as he sat up and brought his hand up to his ear to answer the call, "Hello."

"Young Buddha, my boy, break time is over! I've sent you the rendezvous point!" said Crust, shouting into the mic to the point where Yuuichi almost took out the earpiece.

"Got it. I'll be there soon." said Yuuichi, hanging up by tapping on the earpiece and standing up to quickly stretch while checking where the rendezvous point would be on his phone.

"A little hop and a skip away." mumbled Yuuichi as he confirmed the location before hopping off the edge of the building.

Before he could fall, he constructed a 2-meter-long Solar Dragon that he landed on and started to ride to his destination.

As he made his way to the rendezvous point, he could see some people pointing up at him and taking pictures, either because they recognized him or because it was a flying dragon.

Speaking of the flashy dragon, Kunio had asked Yuuichi why he made his constructs so detailed if it took more focus to use them and why didn't he just use bland shapes. Yuuichi told him that it was for appearances, which isn't entirely untrue. But it's also that the more detailed a construct, the more energy, and focus are required which inherently makes it stronger.

As Yuuichi neared his destination he heard a loud roaring sound followed by the sound of multiple cars being thrown around and crashing into buildings.

Looking in the direction of the noise, Yuuichi could see a nearly 3-meter-tall man with a bear head who was the source of the chaos evidenced by his rampaging.

'Bear head? Why is that familiar?' thought Yuuichi before focusing on the task at hand and changing directions to the bear-man while accelerating.

"ROAR!" said the bear-man as he picked up a car and threw it at a couple who was running away.

"Ahh!" yelled the lady as the man next to her created a small water shield, trying to do anything to help.

But before the car could reach the two, Yuuichi covered the pair in a giant Solar Bonsho, a bell used in Buddhist temples throughout Japan.

CRASH

The car successfully stopped, Yuuichi created an opening in the back of the Bonsho.

"Run." said Yuuichi as he kept his eyes on the bear man who stopped rampaging and stared right at him.

"You okay, friend? Why don't you calm down so we can talk it out?" said Yuuichi.

"ROAR!" yelled the bear man before rushing right at Yuuichi.

"Okay, then." said Yuuichi as he constructed a Solar Elephant that clashed head-on with the bear man not only stopping his rush but launching him away.

Before the bear-man could collide with anything and cause more damage, however, Yuuichi constructed a giant Solar Palm to stop his momentum.

On the ground, the unconscious nearly 3-meter tall bear-man began to slowly shrink, only stopping when he was a normal height again.

'That's why he looked so familiar. It's the guy who I hit in the balls.' thought Yuuichi as he recognized the man now that he was back to normal.

'Looks like he was on some kind of Quirk Boosters, but they seem stronger than what's usually on the market. Reminds me of that CEO kid who got kidnapped a while back.' thought Yuuichi as he thought about the kid his mother told him about.

'I might have to pay a visit to the Underground Fighting Ring.' thought Yuuichi before looking up in the direction he heard someone running only to see Crust.

"Young Buddha! It seems you got here before me! Good job!" said Crust as he came to a stop next to him.

Shield Hero: Crust was a well-built almost middle-aged man with black hair combed backward with a very thin streak of gray running down the center of his hairline. The back of his right hand had a layer of crust, due to his Quirk. His hero costume was a black mask over his eyes, armor similar to what the Spartans would wear, a green hooded cape, and a black shirt with a red pattern down the middle.

"Mm. I was going to the rendezvous point when I heard this guy rampaging, but he was a lot bigger than he is right now. He was on Quirk Boosters, it seems."

"Ah, Quirk Boosters! Created to help those with weaker quirks and are now being abused by villains! So tragic!" said Crust while wiping a tear.

"But I think the Quirk Booster may have been a new variation. It caused him to get much bigger and get stronger, but it also caused him to go on a rampage." said Yuuichi.

"I see!" said Crust, rubbing his chin in thought.

"Have you seen it before?" asked Yuuichi.

"Once, but I know someone who's looking into these things more in-depth! I'll let him know! Good job once more, Young Buddha!" said Crust before walking off.

"Ugh, paperwork." said Yuuichi seeing all the destruction around him.

In a hero school in Hiroshima, a group of students was anxiously waiting for their teacher to speak.

"Listen up, kids." said the homeroom teacher, "As you all know, in a couple of weeks we'll be going on a field trip."

"Whoo!" said the students.

"Alright, settle down. The school has decided we'll be going to Osaka."

"Whoo!"

"Osaka, eh? Hope it'll be fun." said a bunny-eared girl.
