Convergence 3

----------------------------------------

Well I was expecting to ride my horse once more but unexpectedly It is a luxurious carriage this time that is actually transporting me with all the pomp and circumstance expected from the second most influential Lord of Kingdom. Two full cavalries surrounding me at all times and actual assassins shadowing the carriage for the entire duration that I am traveling.

It feels like one of those times when you see a fat politician pass through the road with a full team of bodyguards and police making sure nothing happens. But in my case I am neither fat nor weak which means this entire thing is done for a simple reason, to send a message of my personal army's capabilities as a unit, a flex to put it bluntly which never ceases to amuse me to be honest I am starting to enjoy the entire thing like a vacation in a foreign land.

“Amusing, I can see a few foolish mercenaries trailing us. Go collect them, will you Shadows?” I chuckled at the whiplash that the leader of assassin experienced.

“As you Command My Master.” And the man in archaic spandex was gone in a blurry motion, it was very strange how the martial arts here affected their bodies, almost like shrouding their mortality for brief moments to do superhuman stuff that shouldn't be possible by mere flesh and blood.

I wonder if they use some kind of augmenting drug to boost their capabilities and resilience. There were “Drug items” in the game that allowed a player to boost a hero to the point of being an One-Man army or Orient them into a specialized type of warfare via selective upgrades. Potential potions was the name of the item which allows one to become “Unmatched” to a point where the armies were worthless unless you had researched combat manuals in the Academy…

Academy huh, the only memory Lionheart had of that place was sending his personal Chosen there for “training and learning” yet when they returned after their one month in the academia they had visibility changed, thick torsos, heightened sense, an unnatural amount of attention to orders and immunity to failing morale. A clear example of A special training of body and mind or B the archaic tomes and sutras have a hand on it or perhaps C the Covenant.

Man I wish I could just see the Game window again to check their tier, stats, bonuses and gear. I sighed softly, looking out of the window I decided to take my mind off my inability to see the inner workings of the Army by employing my sixth sense or god-sight as I have decided to call it.

An Ancient Oak tree so old that civilization did not exist when it grew from the seeds of Creations itself…that is old, or perhaps this universe is young? Who knows.

Medicinal herb, used to create the secret ingredient for potential awakening and life preservation when gravely injured. Can be harvested for seeds to be replanted into a sufficiently humid area with enough sunlight to properly grow fully…Jesus Christ that was random even for my clairvoyance.

“Halt the Carriage momentarily.”I ordered, the carriage stopping immediately at my sudden command.

“My Lord, is something the matter?” The knight-errant on charge of driving the carriage asked.

He opened the door and stood at the side when his Lord walked out of the carriage, tension could be seen on his facial expression as if expecting some kind of disciplinary action to be taken.

“At ease knight, I just need to collect something that caught my eye for a moment before we continue forward.” Poor boy he was truly frightened, he patted him on the shoulder to show that he wasn't in trouble before walking towards the plant that would let him know if it was actually possible to create a potential potion drug.

“Bring me the biggest empty glass we have on the carriage knight, it seems this plant has very long roots and needs a large container to be placed in.” I grabbed the short knife hidden behind my coat and dug the area around the plant carefully.

His Chosen who had been charged with being his bodyguards looked curiously at what he was harvesting but did not ask questions that he was not planning to explain in the immediate future until he was sure of the validity of his findings.

Judging by the sweet minty smell the plant exuded his sight might not be wrong, usually that type of smell was related to medicinal herbs or aromatic compounds used to create said herbs in the first place.

“You are coming with me.” I whispered to the magical plant whose roots were one big lump shaped like a potato.

The knight brought him an empty vase that had beforehand contained an aromatic flower, he placed the plant inside and took a few lumps of dirt from the place where it had grown before and filled the vase with it.

He heard an echo of something heavy moving somewhere far away in the forest lining the road which connected his territory with the capital, it had a rhythmic beat to its steps the transmitted near unperceivable tremors on the ground that he could only momentarily feel when he stood still.

He turned around and focused his sight and mind where he could feel and hear that noise, his sixth sense was the first to gauge the Danger it posed should he dare to approach the predatory beast that called this area its domain.

Daring to brave this danger would spell certain doom and The final end that would come from being annihilated by the power of the Void, no victory will come only death and certain destruction, do not think of approaching, do not try to gain His attention, move, Run, retreat, get back on your path and keep your head down, move!move!move!move!move!move!move!move!

Geez okay okay, calm the hell down already you are causing a migraine to appear with all those alarms and death cries for fucks sake, I can guess what the beast is judging by the smell of burning charcoal and sulphur. It's a Dragon.I sighed softly before turning to one of his servants and signaling him to come forward.

“Mark this area with a Warning sign, There is a Beast which calls this place its domain and it isn't a friendly One.” I informed before walking towards his carriage with the plant one on hand.

“Lets hasten our march to the capital, full speed until we arrive at the front doors.” I commanded, the carriage began moving once more.

Perhaps I should really try to find one of those wyverns for myself, this type of speed is quite slow and to be honest I would have arrived at the capital if I had just simply transformed and did one Good [Step Charge] usage, I could probably do a good Hulk jump as well.

But then how would I flaunt my wealth, influence and political Power to a bunch of feudal bureaucrats? Nah can't have them thinking only they can use this type of flexing.

----------------------------------------

Another day at work, another day to bear with the boredom and Sunlight blasting down our heads, truly what a glorious place to work when you could be watching the Gladiators in the Arena duking it out or going to the pleasure halls filled to the brim with Whores of all types…

And all this suffering for one silver coin and forty bronze coins. The Wall-guardian thought to himself, he swept his gaze lazily in the horizon for a routine check up before he had to change his position once more-

He saw a glimpse of a golden lion in a field of blue waving in the Air coming towards them at full speed.

“Hey Grant! Sign the damn Bell!” He yelled at the top of his lungs which caused His sleeping compatriot at the watchtower to nearly slip and fall from there.

“Damn it Jim! I nearly fell down you motherfucker! The fuck is wrong with you-”

“Shut the fuck you thickheaded son of bitch and ring the damn bell before we have both of our heads on the chopping board for failing our duty! The Archduke has Come and he isn't someone who is known for forgiveness. You dumb bitch so ring the damn Thing already before they arrive!” He retorted angrily at his best friend as he tracked the speeding calvary who seemed to double their speed the more he looked.

“Fuck me, I thought you were fuckin with me!” Grant seemed to be nearly ready to jump out of his skin as he ran at the bell and began pulling down the rope which rung it.

Don! Don! Don! Don!

“Open the Doors! OPEN THE DAMN DOORS YOU SHITHEADS!” Someone Roared below them, judging by the temperamental tone of his voice it must be the Captain charged with guarding the Walls.

“Shit Jim that may have been us getting whipped with the lash if you hadn't seen the convoy!” Murmured Grant as he stepped diwn from the ladder to see who was the poor motherfucker who had the pleasure of being the whipping monkey of the very temperamental old veteran.

This narrative has been purloined without the author's approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.

“You owe me a drink later, you son of bitch.” replied Jim back, he still hadn't taken his eyes of the silver-gold plated cavalry of the Lionheart’s charge.l as they passed through the doors and entered the capital without being searched or halted by anyone.

‘As expected of the Elite of Elites and the Men who serve The Champion Lord himself, there is no chance for a mere wall guard to demand anything from them.’ Thought Jim privately, he had been on two occasions where this particular cavalry regiment was deployed and the sheer massacre they could unleash was unsurpassable by your average horse rider or even the veterans placed as overseers on the capital.

“Hey Jim, do you think he is here for that?” Grant asked tensely.

“There is no other reason for his lordship to drop by Grant, he has come to right the wrongs even if he has to bloody his hands with the blood of the noble lords, he is the right hand of His Majesty and if push came to shove a possible candidate to rule over the Kingdom should anything happen to the Prince as Farfetch as that may be.”replied Jim grimly, the flag which was weaving was not the typical Lion with crossed swords that was seen so often.

It was an angry lion who was accompanied by the Axe of executioner and the Hammer of Judge on a field of midnight blue instead of azure blue, a subtle detail to express the purpose of the Archduke to the capital and Jim knew for a fact that the Lionheart will not be as compromising as his Majesty was when it comes to insurrectionists and throne deniers.

“The Hammer of The Judge and The Axe of The Executioner, the Senate will either be brought to heel or bathed in the blood of exiled nobles.” he whispered to his Friend, the grim atmosphere becoming ominous when dark clouds began blocking the sky.

“The Heavens will seems to be on his side as well, look at those flashes.” Pointed Grant at the sky, red and gold lighting seemed to jump from one place to another as if awaiting a command.

“The Gods aren't pleased my friend, the Throne must be taken otherwise the Blessings of the Sun God will turn into the Judgment of the damned and blasphemers.” Jim stated without thinking, the words flowing without thought.

The Heavens indeed seemed angered at something, something they both know instinctively yet their minds couldn't grasp the sheer scope of what's about to happen in a few days.

The Prophesied “Skyfall” will follow on the day the Battle-King takes his Rightful Throne. - Great Sage Vega, high-priestess of the Sun God and a chosen Apostle of His will made manifest.

The carriage came to an Halt, there was a brief silence for a moment before trumpets blared all around his carriage, a thunderous clang of Spears hitting the ground at the same accompanied each beat of the drums as the greeting continued until he issued his Reason of coming as tradition demanded.

He stood up from his seat and went to the door where two Crusaders stood shoulder to shoulder ready to open the door at his behest, a snap of his fingers and the doors of the carriage were opened wide revealing his midnight-clad form to all the onlookers who were present.

He swept his gaze to everyone who dared to look directly at him and narrowed his eyes, he raised one of his arm up slowly towards his Securis Carnificis (Axe)on his back and grasped its handle tightly while the other grasped the pommel of the Flagellum Proditorum (Hammer) and unsheathed them both at the same time.

“I have come to right the wrongs and bring justice and death to Those who dare deny His Majesty’s Birthright.” I Declared harshly, Crashing both hammer and Axe together to create a keening noise that reverberated all over the Capital like a thunderbolt strike.”Those who oppose this Claim stand forward and Accept Judgment, Today I shall Serve as Judge, Jury and Executioner as it is my Duty.”

The Silence that accompanied my words had the effect of giving me a few precious seconds to pull at the knowledge I had taken previously from the former paranoid (rightfully so cus apparently I had been breathing down his neck while being dormant lol) shithead that claimed this body once, He had the entire thing memorized.

“Stand forward or be silent for all eternity.”I commanded, a Signal to my chosen to walk forward with my banner held high as it is required for a High-Ranking noble to do before entering the palace.

None dared. No one dared to even blink, they stood there like dead Men awaiting their doom.

He chuckled amusedly Inside, this entire tradition was a like great drama being played to create a Dramatic entrance for the Big Bad of some Movie. Well props to whoever wrote this script because he knew what he was doing, the shocked, awed and shaken expressions of his listeners were something to be treasured into the depths of his memory for all eternity.

‘Now to put the cherry on top.’

“Riders, nobody enters or leaves from these doors without my permission. Blockade the palace until justice is served.” With that I Signaled my Chosen to follow me inside the palace where history was about to be made.

[Pov: The Senate]

.

Our gambit has backfired on us, that accursed prince who wishes to ascend the throne and stabilize this kingdom did not step back when we threatened to withhold our garrisons from the imperial army. Oh no, he did not take a Single step back this time,he took a hundred steps forward and pointed his “Sword” at us, the Archduke was notified no matter how hard we tried to black out any information from reaching his realm…

And judging by the chill down our collective spine he did not wait one single second to react, he has come to the capital to bring us all to heel.

“By my Decree as The Heir of this kingdom I invoke Martial law on the capital of Silverwing until unity is restored.” The King-to-be declared as a signal from one of the servants whose loyalty was to the throne brought news of the arrivals who were about to enter the senate.

“I present thee His Lordship The Archduke Lionheart Valerio and his direct second in command of the Chosen Leandro Vonheimer High knight of Silverwing.” Boomed the Throne watcher as the two guards at the door opened them to welcome the Executioner himself who had brought his tools along.

“Fuck we are fucked.” One of the lower ranking Senate members cursed under his breath at the sight of the royally pissed Off Golden Lion who was staring them down like a Starving Predator who had found his prey.

He concurred with the foolish Viscount yet he did not have nerves to vocalize it, too many bloodthirsty Sharks were looking hungrily around for any deserters who wish to become a martyr and take the blame of this catastrophe they had dug themselves in.

“Without any further ados the Judge will start the Trial of Justice. The accused stand Forward and plead your reasons.” The Voice of Lionheart commanded as his master collected a thick black book made of ancient leather- Codex lex Imperialis.

The whispering died off, all eyes were on the man who stood in the center, a single Lion versus thirty hyenas circling him for any weakness, yet he stood there resolute and full of confidence in himself.

“Let thee be judged.” He spoke the first words on the cover of Book while staring at them.”In the name Of the bearer of the Crown I bring Justice, as the only One beside the King with the Highest rank, I bear absolute Authority and In the Name of the Throne I shall judge all Fairly be Thee Noble or a peasant.”

“This I swear in the name of the Noble House of Lionheart.”

The throne watchers clanged their golden halberds on the ground as a recognition of his Authority and validity of his claim.

“My Prince you may declare the names of the ones who denied your rightful claim to the throne so we may begin.” He nodded his head at the Future King who is about to get the earliest known coronation as a consequence from his detractors folly.

“Lord-marquis of the House Ablavan Vasco, Duchess of the house Argento Amelia, Duke Deramant Daklahar have claimed that the kingdom is not apparently ready to begin a large scale expansion and think that the Coronation of their King will bring trouble.” The King-to-Be pointed out three specific nobles who were closest to his authority together.

“Accused stand forward and plead your innocence.”The Archduke Commanded as he unsheathed the Golden Hammer and gave it to his Voice to bring it forward where a wooden Platform was placed for this special artifact to work its effect on the accused.

“I plead Innocence and demand a fair Judgment by the Court, not some archaic artifact!” The Duchess stood up and declared strongly, sweeping her gaze to the rest of the court only to be met with raised eyebrows and sneers by them.

“INSOLENCE!” Declared the Throne watchers harshly with their halberds Pointed at the foolish noble who dared to deny the Throne.

“Accused you will stand forward and touch the [Flagellum Proditorum] or you will not get any other chance to do so. The only other option you will get is [Securis Carnificis], an Immediate Beheading without trial so choose your words carefully.” He glared intensely at her, his eyes glowing azure with bloodthirsty Intent at the noble who felt a chill run down her spine which nearly made her pee herself.

The Prince watched impassively from his throne, his regal face set into a stoic mask which hid whatever thoughts he had currently running in his mind.

[Main Quest(new): Requirements meet, The prideful Lion’s Divine Judgment/Mercy 100% completed.]

[Sub-quest(new):The Lion's Order, Take Hostages, enforce your Will. Conquer the Court and establish your Claim as The Right-hand of the King. Completed (the Court nobles fear you).]

[Congratulations Champion Your name has spread all over the Nation as the Bringer of its Will on the Capital.]

Ding!

Ding!

Ding!

‘So my actions can actually cause some sort of mass effect over the rest of Populace whenever I complete One of these quests I am not even aware are there?’ He wondered mentally, the Constant ding of the system notifying him was starting to cause him a migraine to form.

During this little lapse of attention, the Accused noble had walked to the Hammer and with trembling hands touched the Artifact who shone with holy light.

[Evil intent detected]

[Evil thoughts detected]

[Dark schemes detected]

[This individual is compromised by dark thoughts!!!]

He stared at the invisible notifications that appeared above the Hammer, the holy white light had turned a pitch black with hints of deep red, the artifact actually could tap into the game mechanism he remembered from the game and transmit it via telepathic projections that only he could see?

He swept his gaze over the room and traced where they were looking at, none were staring at the hammer but the dark coated Woman who had taken a few steps back from the artifact with shaking hands and wide eyes she turned to look at him with fear clearly present on her face.

‘You are so fucked right now Lady, and not in any pleasurable way.’ He thought to himself as turned to the Throne watchers.

“Size her. Mark her for death by the Will of This Kingdom I declare Her A Traitor to the Throne.” With that ominous command the throne watchers surged forward at superhuman speeds that blurred from the eyes of the normal humans for a brief second before reappearing around the Noble lady, their glaives keeping her locked in place as their captain walked forward with a pair of Silver Cuffs that were inscribed with gylps and runic pentagrams?!

New lesson for future references: Never remove the possibility of what you thought you knew without checking first. Gylps and runes are present and being used by the secret police of the Throne.

Can't believe I thought that the world would run as how the updates introduced the new functions, I am one hell of a dumbass for that stupid thought process when I actually came across the ingredient for potential potion and a fucking wild Dragon in the forests.

.

.

[Two days later after the public execution.]

.

.

“Citizens of the Silverwing kingdom today is a special day that shall be remembered by our descendants and their descendants, as the last surviving Archduke noble house I the current Head of Lionheart declare the Coronation of A New Battle-King, I have judged the Heir of Silverwing worthy of the Title He was destined to take.” He stopped and Signaled the Holy Royal Guardian Knights to step aside and allow the former Prince to walk into the podium.”I present to you your Monarch, King Avalon Silverwing.”

Having his name Declared to the masses was the Signal that the young monarch was awaiting to step in and add his speech to invigorate the masses with his mind-blowing charisma.

“My beloved subjects, I am honored to take up the Throne of Silverwing and live up to your expectations as duty compels me to do. Do not fret for I do not plan to Step back from The Frontlines for it is my duty as the Guardian Hero of this kingdom to protect you alongside my fellow Heroes, Let me Make one thing clear..” Avalon declared, staring ahead unflinchingly which made him wonder what sort of shit he was about to spew and if he should stop him before he did such a thing.”An age of Conquest and exploration is awaiting us, Fertile Lands and unclaimed dungeons, beasts to be slayed and tamed, allies to be and enemies to be Annihilated await us, My first Decree as Your King shall be this, The Lands which will be conquered shall be handed to those who contributed the most merit, New noble houses shall be created to expand our territory. It is a new age of possibilities!”

The resounding cheer had him flinch for a second before he collected himself, the People have been over hyped at the prospect ascending the Ranks of nobility and becoming one of the pillars of the kingdom which he predicts will become a jumbled mess should the King make multiple noble houses from scratch without proper preparations.

“HAIL KING AVALON, HAIL HIS HIGHNESS THE KING OF SILVERWING!!!”

“They are too loud and too overhyped.” Whispered his second-in command for his ears only.

“It's to be expected at the mere idea of having a chance to ascend to the rank of a noble house which hasn't occurred in nearly two hundred and fifty years.”He replied unfazed as he predicts there will be a shitton of deaths in the near future.”many of them will die in vain, dungeons and ruins are cursed with evil totems or the ghosts of the dead. I have a feeling I will have to expand my lionheart host to compensate for the future conquests.”

“My liege, your servants have groomed our sons for such a role and we await your Command.”his knights declared, fire burning behind their eyes as they kneeled before him.

“Have you now?” He said, turning to his kneeling knights.”And what made you do such a thing?”

“My liege, we have sworn eternal service to you, our body, soul and blood are oath bonded to your service until death does us apart. It is the highest honor for us, your knights, to produce the next generation of your warriors at all costs. Our sons and daughters' lives belong to you.” His second in Command declared zealously, he too joined his brothers in kneeling in front of him submissively.

He blinked at that as a light lit up in his head, his brain digesting the words flowing unbiddengly through.
