Chapter 3 - Debriefing

Chapter 3 - Debriefing

The entire week was spent preparing Damien for the inevitable battles that would take place during the rite of the Demon King.

When it comes to battles, what do you think is the most important thing?

Power? Speed? Technique? Courage? It’s none of these.

The most important thing is information. This is an undeniable fact. Information on your opponent, to know their strengths and weaknesses. The strongest of people can be felled by the weakest with information on their opponents beforehand. Shaitan, having experienced and being a veteran of many battles in Hell, certainly knew of this, and debriefed Damien on the dangerous types of demons from the Greater Demon Clans to be wary of.

Some of the particularly notable ones are as follows:

Dragons. They are the epitome of power, perhaps even being able to defy the previous logic about information. Their only downfall is that they are proud and arrogant, believing their strength to be absolute. This means that they are unlikely to form alliances with other demons.

Vampires. Appearing like a normal human at a glance, they possess strength that defies their appearance. What is more frightening, however, is their intellect and ability to control weak-willed people by drinking their blood. They too are proud and arrogant.

Zombies. Also potentially appearing like a normal human, one would usually think them as weak, however, they are the quintessence of tenacity. They will continue to regenerate, living forever. They simply will not die if their head is not completely destroyed.

Of the 99 Greater Demon Clans, there were several more notable demons. Shaitan explained those notable ones painfully thoroughly, but of the 100, there was a demon that Shaitan did not provide any information on. Shades.

Was there a reason for this?
