Why Me?

"Truth be told, Your Highness, this is a shame for our kingdom. You should know what to do before your subjects start blabbering bad things about you with their mouths," Queen Sarah said, smiling secretly.

"Call her for me now," Emperor Gilbert yelled angrily and left the room.

The people were already gathered in the courtroom at the palace, waiting for the king to come out and wait for his judgment upon Ariel, the last princess of the kingdom. They accused her of killing someone she never did and knew nothing about.

The king loved his daughter so much but needed to follow the rules, even though the last thing he could ever do was kill his daughter.

The only option was to banish her if it was true she killed someone, and there was no evidence to prove it.

Everywhere was quiet as the king entered and made himself seated on his throne, while Ariel was dragged in and got down on her knees by the two guides. She looked rough and sad.

The king looked at his daughter's face sadly and looked away before clearing his throat to say something.

"I know we all gathered here to hear the punishment upon Princess Ariel, who is accused of killing someone. She denies it and there is no proof of her innocence. So, I stand here to say, Princess Ariel should be banished from the kingdom," the king said with red and sorrowful eyes. He stood on his feet and left the courtroom.

The guides dragged Ariel roughly out of the palace, then they put her in a car and drove her to the end of the kingdom, leaving her as they were told to do by the king.
