Chapter Seventy-One
The familiar soft voice of a long dead giant reverberated through the cavern from the shining bone. “My precious Tinus, I’m sorry I never made it back to you. I failed you and the forest with my complacency, but it isn’t the end for you. I’m proud of you for upholding our duties as best as you could, but it’s time to let go of the past and help the new primes of nature defend the great forest.”
She fell silent for several seconds, making Arden think she was done, but that wasn’t the case. An explosion of mana shot out of the cavern, causing both him and the crying giant to stumble back. As the wave of mana touched the piles of bones, they disappeared, wiping the cavern clean. That wasn’t the end, though. As if hitting a reset, several woodland creatures popped into existence. They were far smaller than the memories he saw, but were bigger than their typical sizes. Arden’s eyes landed on a squirrel that reached up to his mid-calf. It wasn’t alone. Every animal he saw during his nature watching wandered the cavern.

The mana didn’t stop there. Like the cavern from the memories, grass grew, blanketing the floor while crystals not unlike the trials dungeon appeared on the ceiling to provide light. Within seconds, the once bone filled cavern looked full of life.
