On the day of the competition, the captain came to Clay’s cabin nervously.

Clay got on the carriage without any words while the captain got on another carriage and they started a journey.

They entered a city that was built with white stones. Many mortal armies were standing at the gate of the city for protection. People had to show their jade medals at the gate as proof of their identiry. Clay found that every medal seemed like his medal.

After being checking by the armies, Clay and the captain continued to forward.

On their way, the streets were flooded with people and carriages. On both sides of the road, there are many opening shops that was full of people. The Captain had to slow the carriages to avoid people and other carriages on the street.

Their carriage stopped at a huge square finally.

When they got off the carriages, The captain moved to a palace on the side of square with Clay.

At the gate of the palace, the captain handed a pass to an army before the gate.

After a series of tests, they were allowed to enter the palace. Dozens of people wearing splendid suits talked each other. All people gazed at the captain and Clay spitefully when they entered corridor behind the gate.

At that moment, a young man walked here from the other side of corridor.

“Are you Mr. Liu? ” asked the the young man.

The young man was satisfied with the answers then he said:” Only Xiu Xian can be permitted to go to hall.”

The captain had to step aside and looked at Clay with expectation. Clay walked into the hall with the youth.

On the way to the hall, the youth asked for Clay’s name.

The young man introduced himself : “My name is Wu Qing, I have never seen you before, have you just arrive on my island?”

“I have just arrived on the island for a month.” said Clay.

“You are so brave. You can go to adventures with your magic ability. I have never been to other islands.” Wu Qing said with admiration.

They soon came to the hall and there were nearly twenty Xiu Xians there.

As soon as entered the hall Wu Qing hurriedly walked behind an old man that was sitting in a chair. The old man didn’t talk with Wu Qing, but took a green bamboo tube that was filled with 20 bamboo sticks.

”OK, everyone is here. You have to draw lots of sticks to decided which one you will challenge. Everyone takes one stick from the bamboo tube, and two people having the same number fight against each other. Only the winner can challenge another winner.”the old man solemnly said.

Xiu Xians started to draw bamboo sticks in turn.

After they got their numbers, the old man said coldly: ”Number one.”

The two people having the same number stepped out.

The old man said: ”you can fight against each other on that stage secured by the protective shield. To win, you have to get your opponent’s number. You can do anything to win but you must not kill others. Otherwise I will ask you get out of here.”

Then two Xiu Xians jumped onto the stage and they disappeared immediately.
